Antique Majolica Small Corn Pitcher
Antique Majolica small corn pitcher in maize and green. Measuring approximately 5" tall. The width is approximately 4" from the tip of the spout to the outer edge of the handle. The green handle has striated lines that resemble those found in corn leaves. On each side of the handle, there are three corn leaves extending upward into the body of the corn kernels. Each leaf is striated. On the spout side. There is one long leaf that extends from the base to the tip of the sport. It is also striated. The pitcher has a semi-bulbous shape that gentle slopes to the narrow footed base. The bottom of the base has 3 stilt marks. There is a 9 or 6 under glaze that was written by hand. There are no cracks or crazing. There is a very small chip on the underside edge of the base( approximately 3/8" long by approximately 1/4" deep) that ... moredoes not affect the stability of the pitcher. I have not been able to identify the maker of this piece. If you are a majolica collector this is a very nice piece to add to your collection. If you like pitchers. This would be a fun addition. Etruscan Majolica Pitcher Cherry Blossom Pattern 1878-1892
This is a pristine example of the masters art. It is unique and in mint condition with the exception of a small flea bite on the upper rim and a very small hairline on the upper lip about 1 inch long. These are very small so I hope the photos show them. In my opinion these blemishes do not detract from display. The pitcher measuers 7 inches tall with a 3 3/8 inch base. I Pack Professionally.

Hallmarked c 1890 Boch Freres Majolica Plate with Pewter Surround
This c 1890s Boch Freres hand painted plate features the famous canal scene depicted on later transfer plates produced by their majolica factory. When compared to the transfer plates produced in the early1900s. You will see the various differences between that and this hand painted version in the stylized border, irregular circular banding, and in small painting details themselves. Founded in 1841 by Eugene and Victor Boch of La Louviere in eastern Belgium. The company created orginal majolica delft blue and white ceramics. The Boch brothers hired Dutch men from Delft and Maastricht, who brought their skills and emphasis on hand painted, rather than printed patterns and designs. The brothers expressed the influence of Chinese ceramics, producing blue and white majolica, many with a Chinese subject or border. The hand painted signature of ... morethis plate indicates a late 1890s production. Later plates have various printed labels. In the early 1900s. The company began mass producing replicas of their original wares using transfer polychrome techniques. Very interesting looking antique pottery pitcher with a beautiful Fleur-de-Lis pattern. Pretty glaze is a deep gray green. Almost black, with white raised design. I think it is probably English or French, possibly majolica but I'm not sure. No maker's mark and I am guessing at the age-possibly late 1880-1920 but could be later. Chip on bottom, where it doesn't show, 2-3 teeny chips that do show, please see photos. Also tiny spots of beige paintand 2-3 larger spots of beige paint-someone was painting and splattered-I will let the new owner take care of that as I don't want to ruin the glaze. Antique French Majolica Porcelain St Clement France Rooster Pitcher - Pottery
Hi. For sale an antique majolica rooster marked Saint Clement. The mark is under the glaze and hard to read but still legible. The rooster is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few iron dot marks from age and there is crazing I can only see looking through the loop. I can see a couple pottery bumps on the back near the bottom base(see last picture. It is in great condition for it's age. The rooster is 12 inches in height and 8 inches wide at the widest point. The handle is solid(in researching hollow handles are a sign of fake St Clement pitchers) and there are no holes other than the hole on the rooster mouth where you would pour out the contents and there is no neon green paint.
