It is heavy ironstone. Both pieces marked"Ironstone China Warranted" in blue underneath. The blue maker's mark also features two standing lions. See the photos for a closeup look. The edges of the bowl are scalloped. The bowl measures a little over 10" diameter and 3 1/2" tall. The soap dish is 3 1/2" by 5 1/4" by 1" The glaze has crackled with age and the body is stained. As shown in the photos. It can be made white again, but I've left it alone and priced it low enough to allow for cleaning. There are no hairlines or chips in the bowl. There is a small chip under the edge of the soap dish. I didn't get a photo of the chip but can provide one if desired. Be sure to view all the enlarged photos to see all the details. Measures 6 1/8" wide from the spout to the opposite side by 5 1/8" from handle to opposite side by 2 3/8" tall. Base rim is 2 1/4" diameter. Cup opening at the top has a scalloped edging and inside 5 strainer holes that lead out to the spout for pouring and feeding into person's mouth. Plain white porcelain without any decorations or colorations. Condition is as you see in the photos. The while porcelain china has crackle which is typical with old age. NOTE: at the spout tip there are a few tiny nips on the end. I tried to photograph but it was difficult because so small and underneath. There is also a hairline inside the cup bowl at top that does not extend to outside so it may be original to when the feeder cup was made. A few knot imperfections also from time it was made. Small marks. Rub and scuff on base rim. Feeder cup is not dated. However, you can tell by the maker's mark, crackle, and aging that it is old. I am estimating circa 1900 and could be a bit earlier like late 1800's I just can't be sure. It is pre-owned, old and was used so buyer will be someone who understands current condition and is ok with it. Item is being sold“as is” as was found. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. Its in near mint condition beautiful detail, even the bottom is almost perfect with minimal scuffing. Please look at the pictures. Rare Antique Vintage Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China Pitcher
In about 1853. At age 28, Lewis Henry Meakin left a successful plumbing business to embark upon a china manufacturing business venture with John Farrall. The pottery and china industry was very competitive and their business on Cannon Street, Shelton, Stoke-upon-Trent, England, was short lived. They declared bankruptcy and closed their doors on August 3, 1855. It is not known how many pieces of china Lewis H. Meakin and John Farrall produced. But surviving pieces are extremely rare. Soon after the china business failure Lewis Henry Meakin moved his family to America, and lived out his remaining years in Ohio. His son, also Lewis Henry Meakin, born in 1850, was a fairly well-known US landscape painter. John Farrall went on to work at another china manufacturer in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China is extremely rare. ... moreAnd to find a piece in good condition is rare indeed. This pitcher is one of the very few remaining pieces produced by Lewis H Meakin at the Ironstone China Company between 1853 and 1855, in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. The pitcher is approximately 9 inches tall. And 8 inches from the end of the spout to the end of the handle. The pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The glaze is crazed on both the inside and the outside of the pitcher, which would be normal for a ceramic pitcher approaching 160 years old. A close up of the crazing is shown in the photo of the bottom of the pitcher. The pitcher is slightly stained on both the inside and the outside. The inside is more heavily stained, but not quite as dark as it appears in the photo of the inside. The best illustration of the true color of the pitcher is represented in the first picture. From the lack of wear on the base and the staining it would be easy to assume that this pitcher has spent most of its life on a shelf with dust laying on the inside for a long period of time.

This is a very large antique Johnson Brothers Ironstone/Semi Porcelain Washbasin and Pitcher. The bowl measures 17 1/4 across and 4 1/2 inches high. The pitcher measures 9 inches across and 11 1/2 inches high. The tag on the bottom(as purchased) says circa 1890-1915. It is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips on the pitcher and mild crazing consistent with age. The washbasin has no cracks but a tiny flea bite on the underside which is not visible from above. There are some scratches on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher sits but again consistent with age. Considering this is around 100 years old it is in very good condition. White China Ironstone Child Dishes Washbowl Pitcher Set /Salesman Sample (?)
It is amazing that this miniature washbowl and pitcher have survived as children usually played so rough with them. This pitcher has great detailing with a lovely twisted handle and beading radiating down from the lip. The bowl has the same beading along the rim. The pitcher is 4" tall and the bowl is 4 1/4" in diameter. They were originally decorated in a gold and brown/ tan paint. There are remnants of the paint on both items. You could remove the paint with paint remover if you wanted them solid white. There are no markings on the pieces so I am not sure of the age. The china or ironstone is fairly crudely made as is typical in dishes made for children. The inside of the bowl has a circular line and an open fissure but it still rings when pinged.

This is a wonderful English White Ironstone Pitcher- it is either a large creamer or a small milk pitcher. Made by Cockson& Chetwynd in Cobridge. England between 1867 and 1875. Fully marked on the base in brown transfer. Size: 5 3/8" tall. 5 3/8" from handle to spout. Design is a bulbous curvy shape for the body. With a nautical motif on the handle- ropes and hooks. Condition: EXCELLENT. with no chips or cracks. The base ring has a divot which I believe was from the potting process. Not a chip afterwards. please see my photos) Such a charmer. John Edwards Ironstone China Pitcher 1890/1900
History on John Edwards is very limited but to the best of my knowledge this pitcher was manufactured between 1890& 1900 prior to the establishment of John Edwards& Co. This John Edwards Ironstone China pitcher is in excellent used condition as you can see in the photos. In photo#6 on the handle(below the decorative animal? you will notice a flaw which I believe to be from the manufacturing/firing process which does not restrict/hinder the usefulness of this beautiful piece. There are no cracks. Crazing or unsightly stains. On the bottom next to John Edwards stamp is an imprint which I am unable to read or identify and I do not know if it even means anything but thought I would mention it. ANTIQUE W B Ja& Co IRONSTONE CHINA WHITE PITCHER& BOWL SET LIVERPOOL OHIO You are bidding on an Antique White Ironstone China Pitcher and Bowl Set made by W. B. Ja& Co. of East Liverpool. Ohio. This is Wm. Brunt whose Family Association made pottery from 1847 to 1902. The mark is an Eagle or Phoenix which is a trademark that they used on their Ironstone China. The pitcher is about 12 inches tall and the bowl measures about 14 1/2 inches in diameter at the top. Both pitcher and bowl are in good used condition I have pictured the flaws please see pictures also handle feels like it may be cracked in center but still in tack. There is an embossed flower on the top of the pitcher handle. There is some light crazing that is normal for pottery of this age.

Beautiful pitcher about 50-100 years old-has wonderful detail all around the top and bottom of the handle. The body is decorated around the top. Middle, and the bottom is fluted and flared. The pitcher is over12 inches tall and about 8 inches in diameter. Bottom has a logo with the words Warwick China. It is in wonderful condition with no cracks or chips, and some very fine crazing on the bottom by the logo.

Royal Ironstone China Warranted Pitcher Mottled Two Tone Beige & Off White 13”
I got this in a second hand store so I don’t know its story. As in its age or origin. I’m not an expert on these, so did a little internet research and learned that this is a turn-of-the century American made item(not from England but mimicking English Staffordshire pieces) Please contact me before bidding if you have concerns or questions. Thanks for looking! Photos taken both with and without a flash because its colors look much different in the different lightings. I would call it“warm beige” and“cream. The colors are mottled and unevenly applied with a sort of“robin egg” effect. The lower quarter is much lighter than the top. Its surface is smooth and very shiny. Pretty! There is no basin. Just the pitcher. It’s large at just under 13” high by about 7” in diameter at the widest point. The base measures about 5” in diameter. You can see ... morea seam down the center in front and back. The base it stamped“Royal Ironstone China Warranted” with an emblem showing a lion and a unicorn on each side of an oval shield with a crown on top of the shield. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE It’s in very good vintage condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. There’s crazing throughout that is so faint that I didn’t see it until I looked under a 5x magnifier. I tried to get the crazing to show in the photos but had no luck. It’s clean inside and out. I see manufacturing anomalies and age related patina, but no damage except the crazing. If there is any other damage then it is so minor that it eluded my inspection. Please see all photos. This is a VINTAGE ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA PITCHER. It's about 8" high with blue transfer rose patterns on each side. The transfer on one side is placed lower than the other and has a bit of fading in the center. The pitcher is glazed all over-inside and out. It is also crazed all over. There is one"X" mark that I scanned-it seems to be only in the glaze. Not through to the inside. The handle seems solid and seems to be applied separately. There's a faint seam down the front the back. It's scalloped around the top with a raised pattern along the sides of the top edge. The small mark on the bottom is blue and under the glaze. It's an oval emblem with a crown on top and a lion on one side and a unicorn on the other. Vintage M. Burgess Burslem English Ironstone China Cream Pitcher England
Antique White Ironstone Pitcher made by E. Burgess Burslem. England Circa: 1864-1891 The relief pattern is of a rope design It is white with a very slight blue cast, typical of English Ironstone Heavy old piece which has the British Monarch Crest mark with the lion, unicorn, and the latin motto"Dieu et Mon Droit" which translates to God and My Right It has some wear to the base. It has a hair line crack below the handle that comes through the interior as pictured. Check out the pictures for more detail. It has some discoloration on the handle and rim. Vintage White Ironstone China pitcher by W. & E. Corn, Burslem c.1864-1891
Vintage white pitcher with embossed grapes& grape leaves. Grape leaf and grapes adorn the handle as well. Approx 13" tall and 24" in diameter at its widest point. The trademark on this piece is from 1864-1891 time period. No crazing. Chips or cracks noted, minor imperfections original to the piece. Condition is very good for something this old. The W&E Corn Earthenworks was by William and Edward Corn from 1850 when they took over from their father Edward upon his retirement in 1850. The brothers continued to manufacture pottery at their Burslem pottery works until 1890 when they moved into larger facilities at Top Bridge Works. Longport.

Collectibles For Sale Antique Ironstone Wide Mouth Pitcher Vintage Ironstone Pitcher by M& S China. Approximately late 1800's to early 1900's by the markings and note that was inside. The pitcher has what looks like a hand painted floral arrangement and dark pink around the top and a crackle glazed finish. There is one very small chip on the outer edge of the lip. I cannot tell if the crack that shows near the spout is age or from manufacture. But the pitcher does not leak. The light beige to darker beige on outside is the natural coloring from manufacture. Three references were found for the M& S initials on this piece. 1. Maddock& Seddon who operated in Burslem. Staffordshire. c.1839-42. 2. Mayer& Sherratt who operated in Longton. c. 1906-41 3. C. Ironstone china pitcher Coxon & Co Thistle Pattern 10" tall Lovely!
Beautiful big Ironstone China Coxon& Co pitcher which has a pink Thistle pattern on both sides and top. No chips or cracks that I can see. But lots of crazing and as you see in the photos some off-coloring in the white, especially on the front bottom(unless that was supposed to be that way) My mother bought this vintage in the 70s. This is an old off-white Ironstone China Water Pitcher made in England. It has a beautiful simple shape with a 4x5 inch rectangle shaped base. The height of this old pitcher is about 9-1/4 inches at the handle and 9 inches at the spout lip. The measurement from the spout to the outside edge of the handle is about 8-1/4 inches. It will hold 3 quarts of liquid. This Johnson Brothers Royal Ironstone China collectible is marked on the bottom and is in very good condition. No chips or cracks.
