ANTIQUE LENOX PORCELAIN PITCHER LID STERLING OVERLAY FLOWERS ART NOUVEAU
Description: This auction is for an antique Art Nouveau Lenox hard porcelain flowered sterling overlay pitcher with lid. The Lenox mark on the bottom was first used in 1906. the mark of the silver maker is on the bottom as well. The pitcher is marked sterling on the side under the handle near the bottom. The pitcher measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid. The base 4 inches wide, the width from handle to side 5 inches. The pitcher is in good condition for it's age; no repairs. But there are two hairlines, one at the bottom of the handle's right side& another to the left bottom side of the handle. The hairlines are both smooth to the touch. There is one small rough area that looks like some sterling or glue, when you look at the photo#8 you may notice, or not, near the top middle of the flowers. It is not ... morea chip& there is one other area on the handle that appears to be a loss of sterling rather than a chip. There is one small black dot under the handle that appears to have been caused in the making. Just covering all the bases, this is a rare find& a beautiful piece. Here is a wonderful antique early 1880's ceramic MADDOCK'S WORKS LAMBERTON Royal Porcelain PITCHER that would be perfect in big wash bowl that goes to a chamber set. It has been in my family for generations. And was part of my grandmothers estate. It stands 11" tall an as the aesthetic movement style pink and light rose color large flower displays on both sides of the pitcher. And inside the lip. The gold trim is about 80% there around the rim. One of the wonderful things about the pitcher is that it has survived 125 years with NO chips. Or hairlines, or cracks. Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Pitcher or Large Creamer. It is similar to ironstone pitchers. Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers Gold paint trim around the neck. On the handle, and also around the top rim. Some of the gold paint has worn off on the top rim and also the top of the handle. There is a rough area on the top rim where the gold paint is worn but I do not think it is a chip but rather where the paint has gathered. There are 4 tiny black dots that are in the china from the original firing. Two on the outside and two on the inside. I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a red"S" in a red diamond shape and the numbers"1446 and 54" in red on the bottom. I could not identify the maker. Darling squat pitcher. Probably from the 1920's-30's when women would take porcelain blanks and create personal masterpieces for their home. This pitcher measures about 4 1/4" high at it's highest point. It measures 6" from handle to spout and a whopping 16" around it's"belly" It is decorated on both sides with lovely blue flowers with raspberry centers in shades of Robin's egg blue with green leaves and stems. It is signed twice, one on the front of the pitcher"E. WALKER" appears and again on the bottom of the pitcher where she has added the words"Hand Painted" by E Walker. The top of the pitcher is trimmed in gold, light wear, but still very shiny) I am not seeing any crazing or chips. Up for auction or"Buy It Now" is a Marked and Signed"Roy" Weissman Company, Incorporated of East Palestine, Ohio and New York City, New York(Circa 1941 to Closed in 1957) Weisley China(WC) Brand, American Art Pottery, Hand Painted-Handcrafted, American Painted Porcelain" Small Porcelain Artware Ewer Pitcher which can best be Attributed as Being Manufactured and Decorated by the Dwight Morris China Company also of East Palestine, Ohio(1939 to 1982) in"Excellent Plus" Used Condition and Made Between Circa 1941 to 1957. This little ewer has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind. It's only post factory issue is that some gold trim has worn away and picture 12 is a close up of the most worn area. This isn't uncommon to see when gold trim is applied either. It can be ... morefired on or underglaze and it ususally is when it's part of the main pattern, but many times it's a final production step and it's applied cold. It has real gold in it and ceramic decorators use 22, 23 or 24 karat gold. It's always been an acceptable practice of cold painting the gold trim as a last step so it shouldn't be considered poor quality work by potteries and decorating firms. Immersed washing and dusting with a heavy hand are two main ways wear happens and most consumers aren't aware that the gold trim areas need some special care. This piece is about 6 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/8 inches at the most bulbous point near the bottom. The next biggest measurement is the from the outward pour lip across to the handle at about 2 3/4 inches and the top opening is an oval of about 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches across. Being true porcelain means this piece will be strong. But light weighing about 5 ounces. There's a beautiful hand painted floral pattern which I'm fairly sure is representative of the pansy flower. Unique Vintage 3" Tall Hand-Painted Japanese Porcelain Square Pitcher w/Flowers
Unique vintage square-based 3" Tall Pitcher. Porcelain, made in Japan. Each of the 4 sides is hand-painted in a pink flower design with gold embellishments added. The base measures 3" square, and the top measures 1 1/2" square with one corner tapered to pour. To disclose, there is a very old hairline fracture on one side of the pitcher that stops short of compromising the structural integrity of the pitcher. I thought it might be just a glaze crack, but it is visible on the inside as well as the outside of the pitcher. The fracture stops in the middle of the piece, and the piece has never broken. The piece is in very nice condition despite it, and I am taking the fracture into consideration with the price. To view the fracture, see the last photo in the line above.

The white porcelain has a pink flowers with green leafs and is accented with hand painted gold trim. There is also a ring of raised porcelain scrolling on the handle and again on the top circle of the bowl and side handle. Those pieces are in very nice condition with some crazing with no chips. Victorian Decorative Ewer, Hand Painted Porcelain Flowers - Lion's Head
Offered for your consideration is an antique Victorian floral motif hand painted flowers Ewer. This piece is simply amazing. It stands 17" tall. The base is 5" square and the porcelain is about 5" in diameter at the widest. The base and top of the ewer is a pot metal with a antique gold finish. It stands on a four footed base that has sweeping pierced curves- very ornate. The lovely porcelain is darker green at the top, fading to a light green then to a creamy white. The final color is a very pale pink. On this is hand painted pink edged flower with green stems and leaves. The top of the ewer is again very ornate with a long suspended handle. The under part of the spout has a lion's head and trailing flowers. There are no markings as to whom the maker was or where it was made. There are no chips, cracks or damage of any ... morekind.
