I have seen it in a glass display cabinet ever since I was little, and I am now 60 years old! It was lovingly kept out of the light and moisture. The handle must have been repaired a long. Long time ago, because I had never noticed the two small cracks until now. They actually blend in with the gold painted decoration. The handle is strong and functional. The lid is attached with original rivets and the hinge is tight and straight. It has not been cleaned or polished in over 60 years. Only dusted! I am not sure of the metal. ... moreBut it is very similar to old pewter. There is one small chip on the base that is barely noticeable. It also fits in with the decoration. History: We have many items up for sale that are from my mother's personal collection. She is originally from Czechoslovakia(now Czech Republic) and loved to shop and collect many things when she would go back to visit every year(starting from about 1973-74) Some items were acquired through antique shops. Some were passed down from my grandmother, some directly from local artisans there, and she would pack them up and bring them home here. She had many china cabinets and displays showing her fabulous pieces. She continues to travel every year to Czech, but has decided at her age it is time to let someone else enjoy these treasures. There are no markings other than what appears to be an impressed ... morenumber. It is hard to make out. It is the hollow/light sounding ceramic when you tap it. Stands about 7 1/2" Color is a very light pastel blue/green. Accented with white dimensional roses and a center cherub. No damage seen. Looks great. Normal wear on footer as it is unglazed there. It has a crackle finish in the glaze which could be crazing but could've been done intentionally as the crackles are clear and visible only upon close inspection. This is a truly very pretty piece. Here is an Antique Ross Ceramic& Porcelain Pitcher. It is in excellent condition. I can find no chips. Cracks or flaws with it. It measures about 8 1/2 inches tall at the highest point X 7 inches wide from the back of the handle to the front of the pitcher X 4 1/4 inches deep. It weighs 2.45 lbs. It is mostly gray in color with a couple of blue stripes between the gray and green front. This beautiful looking antique pitcher comes from a smoke-free and pet-free environment. VINTAGE IRONSTONE WASH BOWL BASIN AND PITCHER WASH BOWL IS ABOUT 11" IN DIAMETER AND 3" HIGH THE PITCHER IS ABOUT 8.25" TALL TO THE TOP OF THE HANDLE AND ABOUT 6.5" FROM HANDLE TO SPOUT. There is a hairline crack in the bowl. I took a picture of it inside and out. see the last two pictures. There is a black"cinder" from firing on the handle of the pitcher. There is a factory flaw on the spout that is under the color and glaze. I took pictures of these issues also. There are no chips. This is a Beautiful Vintage Ironstone? Large Green and Gold Trim Ceramic Porcelain Water Pitcher with hand painted Peacocks. This is light green with dark green outline and gold trim. This also has a beautiful Peacock painting on both sides. This water pitcher is in GREAT Vintage condition for it's age and clean inside. This does have crazing throughout and a small rough spot on the very bottom side but does not appear to be a chip. Normal shelf wear on the bottom. There are no cracks or repairs that I see. Some of the gold trim is faded or missing but not much at all. This is a very old and large pitcher and measures from the top of the handle to the bottom 13-1/4” tall. Absolutely stunning. Extra Large Floral Pitcher and Wash Basin Bowl. This set is such an eye-catcher! Beautiful floral pattern with gold trim accents. It is extra large in size and quite heavy. Very MINOR wear in a few spots to the gold accents. No chips or cracks found on either. Floral pattern is found on bottom of pitcher as well as the basin/bowl. Age and maker unknown. Set is unmarked.
