Antique Ceramic Transferware Serving Bowl HandPainted Flowers 1880-1900?
Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Vegetable Bowl or serving bowl Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a blue circle that is hard to read but I think it says Mark& Gutherz Earl Sbad? and the numbers"1446 and 104" in blue on the bottom. I found a Gutherz in the Kovel book but not the rest of the names. I believe that sometimes these pieces were shipped out as blanks and then painted elseware. There are no chips or cracks It is 9"s long across the top including the rim. 6 3/4"s across at the widest part, and 3 1/2"s tall approximately. The measurements vary because the bowl is less wide in the center than at the ends and the same for the height. I was told these old wash basins were seldom marked because they were considered utilitarian. The one I found on Ebay that looked almost identical was described as an antique. 1800’s. I really don’t know how old it is or anything about it. But will describe it as best I can. It came from an estate. The bowl measures 16 ½”across and 5” tall. The pitcher is ~13” tall and ~10” wide. It appears to be hand painted with yellow roses and green leaves. It has a“separation”crack on the bottom of the bowl. It appears to be a flaw in manufacture. Large Ceramic Yellow Pitcher Bowl Wash Basin
This is a very pretty handmade large ceramic pitcher& bowl/wash basin that I purchased from an estate sale. It is very ornate& there are some little green paint streaks mixed into the yellow glaze in the inside of the bowl. Scroll work decorates the pitcher. It is 12" tall& 9" across the top. The bowl has one little chip on the bottom where the feet pieces are. It is 13 3/8" around and 3 2/8" tall. This is a very nice set. I was told that this mold was retired. But since I haven't done pottery in 25 years, I have no idea. You be the judge.

I need your help on this one. Folks. I purchased this wash bowl at a flea market because I thought it was so charming with the striking contrast of blue birds on a white ground. It didn't matter to me who had made it. But now that I am downsizing and selling some items, I don't have a clue as to how to describe this basin. I had it paired with the pitcher in the photo, but the pitcher was not purchased with the basin. I am selling that in a separate auction. The wash bowl is LARGE. It is 17" across and 6" deep. It features a simple design of nine blue birds and one nest with eggs. Like I said. Charming, charming, charming! The bowl measures approximately 13" across and 3 3/4" tall/deep. The pitcher measures approximately 9" across from spout to edge of handle. Pitcher is approximately 10" Tall at highest point. Bottom of pitcher measures 5" across. This set is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, breaks. There is no crazing on either the pitcher or bowl. The pitcher has cherubs depicted on both sides of bowl one side blowing a horn the other gazing backwards. There is blue shading on the pitcher around cherubs and raised scene and around raised wreath that is strung around the lip of the wash bowl. Adorable vintage Frankoma brand small version of and old fashioned water pitcher and wash basin bowl. Pitcher and bowl are in excellent condition without cracks. Chips, nor any discolorations. Pitcher and wash bowl measure aprox. the following.pitcher-7inches tall and 5 inches wide at widest point.wash bowl-8inches wide from handle to handle and 6.5 inches across from side to side where there are not handles, and bowl measures about 2 inches deep. Set are a pretty light chocolate brown and pale turquoise green blended in a swirling'melting' pattern of the 2 colors throughout both pieces. Offered is an early wash bowl or basin with matching pitcher. The chamber set is in very good condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing, stains, or damage. The overall glaze is white with accent bouquets of purple, lavender, and white florals. There is both light and dark green foliage. There is a raised embossed design along the outer edges of both pieces. The set is unmarked but there appears to be a raised impression on the bottom of the pitcher that I cannot make it out. THIS SET IS NOT ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE! For some reason Ebay kept putting them in that category. And wold not allow me to change it. Offer is a white ceramic wash bowl and pitcher. Similar to those you would see in an old western hotel room. The pitcher is 12" high. And 9" wide(including the handle. The wash basin is 5" high, and 14" in diameter across the top. CERAMIC WASH BOWL 1900-1940 ivory
This is a really neat Pitcher. It is a late Victorian design. This pitcher was meant to sit on small dresser type stand along with the wash bowl(unfortunately the bowl was broken when it was shipped to me a few years back. I Believe this piece dates back to the 30's early 40's. Possibly before, but I am not an expert therefore my statement is no guarantee. There are no markings, chips or cracks at all and it is in excellent condition. Overall it is a wonderful piece and will add charm to any decor. The pitcher is 11"high and 5” across the base.
