These are"Estate ... moreFresh" so to speak. The man we bought these from had befriended a man back in the 1970s who worked in the oil industry and who traveled and collected extensively. He bought these pieces in the Hague in Holland, where many of the earliest Chinese pieces came through. He sold a piece here and there to this man over the course of the next 30 years and these were just a few. This is a Kraak porcelain bowl dating to the Ming Dynasty. It has a feeling unlike any other piece of porcelain I have ever felt-it is virtuously weightless. It is a delight to hold. Eggshell porcelain was first made in China during the Ming Dynasty and making pieces with this translucence takes a great amount of skill. The shape is perfect with a slightly ruffled edge. The painting is fabulous and masterfully applied. Most of the pieces have paperwork-this bowl didn't have specific paperwork like the other piece we bought but, it is undoubtedly genuine. There are some tiny frits along the top rim and some small firing flaws as pictured but no damage or repairs to speak of. A wonderful piece to add to your collection!

The signature on the reverse of the plate is also very stylish and interesting.it certainly has the makings of being pre 19th century but as I'm not 100% sure I can't say for sure! Intricately hand painted it depicts a carp fish. Which represents fortune and good luck. The Bowl shows some light wear throughout, but overall for its age is in very fine untouched original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This auction is for a Fabulous Victorian 5-Piece Wash Bowl and Pitcher Set. The set Displays Wonderfully. It will add a burst of color and will instantly become the focal point of any room. Each piece is marked"France" on the bottom. I am not certain of the maker but by the form and feel and style the set is clearly Victorian and likely dates to the late 1800s. The set is decorated with a beautiful sky blue color against a white porcelain and gold edging. The pieces are molded with a relief leaf and scroll designs. The set consists of a large pitcher(11 inches tall) A large bowl(16 inches across) a smaller pitcher(7 inches tall) a soap dish and a cup. The set is in very good condition. Especially for its age. Up for your consideration is a beautiful FLOW BLUE pitcher and bowl set made by J& G Meakin. Hanley, England. This set is in the Moderna Pattern which was produced by them from 1903-1911, making this piece over 100 years old. The pitcher measures 11 inches tall by 11 1/2 inches across. The bowl measures 17 1/2 inches across by 5 1/4 inches deep. Condition is excellent for a piece of this age. There are no repairs, chips or cracks. The piece is very clean and was very gently used. There are several small glaze pops that can be seen in the photo's and a small rough spot on the bowl rim which can be seen in photo 3. There is a barely visible surface scratch on the pitcher, but I couldn't get a photo of it. It does not go through and can barely be noticed. Hi. this pitcher stands 3" tall and is about 3.25" across. The little bowl or it might have been a tea cup. Is 2.1/8" tall and 3.25" across. There are places that the shine is gone but for as old they are- they really are in good condition! The little cream pitcher does have a chip on the spout lip. This sale is for a basin only. No pitcher. The blue has some lighter and darker shading to it, and to me is a powder blue in color with the white background. A lovely picture on each side of the basins of a peacock under a tree done in a Oriental style with greens, browns blue, red and gold. The oval shape is 16" long and 13 1/2" across. It is also 4" deep. Inside the basin is a raised 5 1/2" square to sit the pitcher on. The edges are a type of scalloped style and column and graceful curves, arches, going down into the basin. Up for sale is an antique Anchor Pottery Wash Bowl and Pitcher Set. This pottery company was located in Trenton. New Jersey. It was later purchased by Stangl. The pitcher and bowl are in very good condition. There are just a couple tiny flea bites on the edges. The two small vases have chips at the base, but the other sides display very well. This set is made of semi-porcelain. It is large and very sturdy. The bowl measures almost 16 inches in diameter with a height of 5 inches. The pitcher has a height of 11 inches and is 11 inches from handle to spout. The small bowl measures 5.25 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches in height. Doulton Burslem Flow Blue Wash Bowl/Basin This beautiful Doulton Bowl dates from 1885-1902 according to the maker's mark. It is approximately 17" wide at its widest point and 5.5" deep. It has some nicks on the top edge that someone has filled in with gold paint. They are small. But there are several of them on the one side. I did not notice them until I felt the rim and then looked closely. The inside of the bowl has one large spray of blue flowers and two smaller. They appear to be a combination of roses and possibly peonies. There is also an embossed swirl on the inside of the bowl. This what I am assuming is a late 1800s Staffordshire pottery pitcher and basin or wash bowl is in good to excellent condition. It has some crazing in the glaze and a few pops or bubbles in the glazing. When tapped it has a ring to it indicating no major flaws. The bottom of the basin has some flaws or surface cracks in the glaze but is not present on the inside. The pitcher measures 12 inches high and is about 7 1/2 inches wide at the largest diameter. The base is 4 1/2 inches diameter. The spout or top measures 5 x 6 inches. From the bottom of the handle base to the top is 7 inches. The bowl is just shy of 15 inches across at the top and 7 1/4 at the base. It stands 5 1/2 inches tall. Feel free to ask questions. All items normally ship within 24 hrs of payment clearing. Antique F. WINKLE& CO"DART" PITCHER AND WASH BASIN Today I have decided to sell an absolutely lovely F. Winkle& Co circa 1893 Flow Blue Pitcher and Bowl set decorated in the Dart Pattern. This set offers a super rare deep dark blue Flow Blue Antique striking with its gold gilding. The pitcher measures approximately 12 1/4" in height with a slightly lobed body. Having four slight creases or indents giving an overall melon shape with molded four molded fans extending downward from the neck. The body of the jug is decorated with the most vivid deep dark blue flown transfer decoration featuring large groupings of azalea type flowers that alternate with panels of scrolls and vines. A jewel pattern drops down from the rim. The basin measures a bit over 15 1/2" in diameter. The exterior of the bowl is also slightly lobed(the ... moreinterior is not) And the fan shapes drop down from the rim and rise up from the base rim. The flow blue azalea pattern on the exterior of the pitcher is repeated on the interior of the bowl. The jewel pattern on the exterior of the bowl matches the neck of the pitcher. Both pitcher and bowl have gilded rims and sponging that is in pretty good shape. Both are also marked in blue under glaze: DART Rd No 219409 F.W. Co ENGLAND. Each also has a raised in-mold rectangle. Within the rectangle. Rd 187591" is impressed, although in the case of the pitcher, the impression is illegible. Condition: Both pieces have been carefully inspected and critically scrutinized for damage. Both have been black-light tested for repairs. No chips. Cracks, or repairs are present. The pitcher has fine crazing inside and out. Of note is a specific circular line on the exterior base of the pitcher near the back stamp that has been examined closely. There is loss to the gold gilding. There are also several spots or flaws on the bottom of the pitcher that look like they were a part of the firing process as they seem embedded in the glaze. The blue is very nice color and the bowl also has a doe color washed around the edge inside and out. I thought this was stain but nothing would remove the color, must be in the making of the set. Beautiful old vintage white wash pitcher & basin/bowl Blue trim an tulip flowers
Both pieces are white with blue trimming design painted on. The front center has a painted picture of a beautiful bunch of tulips. There are no chips cracks or fractures. wood wash basin stand & arner's ceramic/porcelain royal blue pitcher & wash bowl
Vintage wood wash basin with mirror towel rack and candle holders. Used. But in very good condition. Scratched on front right of basin, see picture 4) Measures 52 1/2" high, 22" wide and 20" deep overall. Includes beautiful royal blue Arner"s pitcher, and wash basin. Pitcher is in very good condition and measures 10" high and 9 1/2" from back of handle to front of spout. Bowl measures 16" by 14 1/4" wide. Fits table well but not perfectly. Bowl has two small chips on bottom(see pictures 8 and 9) but does not show from the top. Makes a lovely addition to your home.

The Blue is Deep and flowing. Love this set. Displays so beautifully. This set. It appears to be a iris floral decoration. Set is highlighted with intricate gold gilding in the most breathtaking design on both the pitcher and the bowl. Very minimal gold loss through the ages. A few minimal scratches on the bottom of the bowl from pitcher. No discolorations that I could see, may be one or two tiny flea bites. No chips, repairs or cracks. Tell me how you got hold of this washbowl. APPRAISER: If we take out the pitcher and set it aside. We can turn up the bowl so that we can get a closer look at the design. This has a really elaborate cobalt blue under glaze design of iris. On top of that is a really elaborate gold work. The gold is actually raised up, which is a more expensive process than flat gold. On the bottom, we can turn it over and take a look at the mark. It is made by the Royal Doulton Company. This is before it was Royal. This mark was used from about 1891 to about 1902. Pitcher-and-bowl sets are not a very popular collectible. If you had collected 20 pitcher-and-bowl sets, where would you put them? They take up so much space. Large Vintage White Ceramic Wash Bowl/Basin Blue Birds Nest Eggs 17" Help!
I need your help on this one. Folks. I purchased this wash bowl at a flea market because I thought it was so charming with the striking contrast of blue birds on a white ground. It didn't matter to me who had made it. But now that I am downsizing and selling some items, I don't have a clue as to how to describe this basin. I had it paired with the pitcher in the photo, but the pitcher was not purchased with the basin. I am selling that in a separate auction. The wash bowl is LARGE. It is 17" across and 6" deep. It features a simple design of nine blue birds and one nest with eggs. Like I said. Charming, charming, charming! There are no cracks or chips; there is age related crazing and a few small stains.see photos. There is no marking of any kind as to manufacturer or country of origin. Large Vintage White w Blue/Gold Design Ceramic Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl Set
For your consideration. I have this Large Vintage White Ceramic Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl Set. It was hand crafted in 1977 by JJ from Oregon. The bowl measures approximately 13" across and 3 3/4" tall/deep. The pitcher measures approximately 9" across from spout to edge of handle. Pitcher is approximately 10" Tall at highest point. Bottom of pitcher measures 5" across. This set is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, breaks. There is no crazing on either the pitcher or bowl. The pitcher has cherubs depicted on both sides of bowl one side blowing a horn the other gazing backwards. There is blue shading on the pitcher around cherubs and raised scene and around raised wreath that is strung around the lip of the wash bowl. This set consists of a large bowl with a pitcher,a chamber pot,a handled slop bucket with a lid,a tumbler,and a soap dish with a lid. Antique Dark Blue Jasper Wedgwood (Wedgewood) Sugar Bowl
This is a very fine antique dark blue Jasper Wedgwood sugar bowl. I am not an expert but believe this is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. There is a small chip under the end of one of the handles- there are also a few chips on the underside rim of the lid(which are not visible with the lid on) otherwise the piece is in very good shape. The bottom is stamped"Wedgwood" and"24" There also is some numbers written in black pencil on the bottom and the word"Hugh" written in pen on the underside of the lid.
