Hand painted under glaze in deep blue on milky white. The plates are elaborately decorated and show an ornate pattern of pheasants on a rocky ground with blossoming flowers above. The borders have flower patterns in shaped reserves. Both chargers have flower garlands painted on the backside. Both are marked similarly with a script mark within concentric circles. Condition: one plate has a distinct rim chip and some more minor rim chips/frittings. It is o.k. otherwise and produces a clear sound when tapped by fingernails. The second plate has some rim chips/glaze frittings and rim chip associated with a faint rim hairline(of ca. 5 cm) and is in excellent condition otherwise. Please view the pictures. Which give a good impression of the quality and the condition of the objects, which certainly can be called a matching set, although small pattern differences exist. These were made in China in the early 18th century. The marks. Patterns and color which were used for the decoration, indicate that they were produced during the Kangxi(Kang Hsi) period, which covers the early part of the18th century(1662- 1722) From the 16th century onwards many Chinese products were exported to Europe. Oriental porcelain was imported to The Netherlands by the Dutch East Indies Company(V.O.C. which had commercial privileges to China and Japan. The wealthy Dutch upper class adored the subtle China ware and large quantities were shipped to Holland in the 17th and 18th centuries. Both impressive plates measure nearly 11 inches(27.5 cm) across. Please note that the display stands, visible on the pictures, are not included in this auction. There are a couple of tiny glaze pops on the body about 4" below the spout.barely noticeabl e. I don't see any cracks or feel any chips. On the bottom of the pitcher is a rather blurry maker's mark that reads"Porcelaine Opaque. Trade Mark" then a blurry coat of arms below which is a word I can't make out, and below that is the word"England" Please refer to the last photo for a view of the entire mark. Victorian Antique Pitcher white Porcelain with Gold Decoration
Small Fancy Porcelain China Victorian Pitcher that could be utilized for water. Or gravy. Very lovely and is dated on base to what looks like 69, in flow blue, along with a symbol that looks like it could be crossed swords, but there are also many more markings scratched into the clay. To me it looks as if it says Ga 152 done by hand and glazed over. There is a very small 30 stamped into the base, as well. There is a very small minor slit from when it was made, as it was glazed over on the side that shows. Was this made in 1830 or 1869? who knows, one look at it and you can see that it is extremely old. There is gold decoration on the floral pattern and around the rim, but some has worn off over time. This pitcher is beautifully decorated with a salt glaze. It features the same scene on both sides of Psyche& Cupid talking together under trees. As an interesting tidbit- An antique note is in the bottom from the previous owner in 1938 that says this piece belonged to an Ella Gilman in Exeter. New Hampshire. It is was repaired on the bottom. Antique white porcelain Favorite Bavaria pitcher water jug
This unusual plain white water pitcher or water jug was part of a set that belonged to my grandmother around 1915. I think she intended to paint it but lucky for us. She never did. On the bottom is the mark Favorite Bavaria. The pitcher is a little over 8 and 1/2 inches tall at the lip. There are no perceptible chips or marks.

Tunstall England This company was in business from 1902-1910. The pitcher is in excellant condition. There are no cracks or chips. It's antique white with a beautiful shade of blue on the top and bottom and has gold accents. The bottom has the trademark of W.C. Co. and semi-porcelain. It's faint but you can see it. Dimensions are 7" High. 7 1/2" Wide including handle, 5 3/4" in Diameter at widest point. Opening is 3 1/4" in diameter. It's a gorgeous piece. I will make sure it's well packed.

1800s Antique Pitcher Parian Porcelain lavender w/ornate white cameo relief
This stunningly beautiful. Antique Parian ware(bisque porcelain) pitcher has a lavender base color, with ornate, raised, white cameo-like designs on its outside surface. The design motifs are classical, and the style resembles Wedgwood's“jasperware” or early Copeland pieces, though the pitcher up for auction, here, has a gloss glaze, as opposed to a matte finish. The pitcher is unmarked, and though I have done some research, I have not been able to determine its maker. The pitcher's condition is remarkable. With no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. The only flaws, which are minor, occurred at the factory when the then liquified Parian porcelain was cast in the mold, and when the white, raised designs were applied, as one can see some tiny hairline breaks that have been glazed over. The pitcher measures about 8 ¼ inches tall ... morefrom its base to its highest point, which is on the handle, about 5 ½ inches across the opening from the handle to the end of the spout, and it has just under a 4 inch diameter across the footed base. This is a beautiful porcelain pitcher. It is embossed with a raised design on each side. The blue still shows nicely on all sides. The boat scene appears to be Dutch and is detailed on one side while the other side shows the boat in the distance. There is nice detail on the bottom with 4 pads so the pitcher sits up on a surface. There appears to be some numbers on the bottom and just a small blue line. The pitcher measures 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide. It is in good shape. No cracks or chips.

beautiful antique porcelain water pitcher white and gold
This vintage pitcher would make a nice decorative piece. We are not sure of the manufacturer but believe it was made by Crown Porcelain Corp of Evansville. IN. We have not been able to positively identify the Maker Mark, so we haven't been able to date this piece. The glaze is crazed and there are chips(see images) but no major damage. Crown was in operation from1890's to around the late1950's or up to 1960, the makers mark is not representative of the later operations marks. So if this is definitely from Crown then the Makers Mark would most likely be a early one. The Crown design is the style used by their operations. We would appreciate anyone that can identify the Makers Mark and the approximate manufacture date, if they could furnish us with that information.

There is a small chip at the bottom of the pitcher and there is some crazing from use on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher set. Overall. It is in very good vintage condition. The pitcher measures 10.5" tall and 25" around the widest point. The top is 9.5" from the spout to the handle. The bowl is 15.5" across the top and 4 3/4" tall. There are no marking on either peice. There is light to moderate crazing on the pitcher that did not show up due to the flash. There is heavy crazing on the bottom as seen in the pictures. DESCRIPTION: A very unusual pitcher. Perhaps not for syrup as it is very large, but for milk or water at a table. The design is something akin to cottage, art nouveau style and is very lovely. The most peculiar feature though. Is the squared off top which has a beautiful, fully functioning squared off lid! I have collected syrup pitcher for years. And have NEVER seen anything like it. The raised design is lovely pink dogwood flowers and the leaves are several shades of bluish, yellowish greens. Clearly hand painted. Gold accents on raised filigree patterns. MEASUREMENTS: She stands 8.5" tall. 6" front to back and 4.25" wide. CONDITION: The porcelain is absolutely perfect. Not a chip. Crack or scratch on her. There are a few spots on the glaze, but close inspection reveals that they are touches of gold paint from the original ... moreartist and under the glaze, so not to be considered damage, but original features. The pewter lid is wonderfully functional with it's little porcelain thumb leaver, which works by sliding it up and down with your thumb. Presented is an antique porcelain opaque pitcher made by Bridgwood& Son in England in late 19th century. It is decorated with brown floral motif on white background. Pitcher is 6 3/4" tall and approx. 7" from the spout to the end of the handle. Item is in pretty good condition free from chips. Cracks or crazing.

THIS IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL OLD MILK PITCHER. IT BELONGED TO MY GRANDMOTHER. THERE IS NO MAKERS MARK ON THE BOTTOM. IT HAS GOLD TRIM THAT SHOWS SLIGHT WEAR. IT IS IN MINT CONDITION. IT MEASURES 5 INCHES TALL AND 5 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER. A LOVELY PITCHER.
