The filigree is gilded and the metal is probably French white metal or spelter. The gilding appears to be the original finish. It has an easel style back and stands nicely. The glass and photograph slide in from the top. There is an original antique wedding photo, or cabinet card, on the inside. This lovely old frame measures approximately 8 1/4" high x 6 1/4" across. The viewing area is about 5" high x 3 1/2" across. It is in very good condition with the glass intact and all of the metal looks good. I uploaded 7 pictures hoping you can tell more about th is vintage. Metal frame, Victorian? Silhouette wall hanging/picture. I recently purchased this at an estate. It looks to be in good displayable condition. The little metal tab on the back is missing but could be replace d with another piece for wall display. It has the raised convex/bubble type glass. Very unique and I can tell it's vintage. Maybe 1930's? but. Not sure. It measures framed approximately 5 inches top to bottom and approximately 4 inches side to side. For the age. Again, it looks to be in good. Displayable condition. It does show what I would consider to be normal. Displayed wear and age related wear. It's a silhouette of a Victorian couple. Maybe pot metal and then painted with silver paint. Has embossed flower and a fly around the edge. Very unique. Holds a 4"x6" picture or photo. Outer dimensions of the frame are alittle over 7.5"x10" Has folding easel back. Frame is in fairly good used shape. The silver paint has worn off in spots and there is some discoloration to the paint. Easel stand is alittle stiff but does still fold. No glass in frame. Please see pictures below. Antique Victorian Cast Gilt Metal Painted Photo Picture Frame Or Mirror Acanthus
Victorian cast metal or brass that is painted off white picture frame or mirror. The picture frame has very nice rococco style acanthus leaves designs all round and it is self standing with an easel type of metal on the back that folds in or extends out to hold the picture frame in place. The area for a picture or for a mirror has an opening on the front of 3 3/4" X 5 1/2" The measurements of the whole frame are 12" long X 8 1/2" wide. Please note that we are not sure if the off white paint finish is original to the frame or if someone did this at a later date. We do know however. That the frame itself is indeed dating from the Victorian Era. If the new owner wishes to remove the off white paint, the frame would show its gold gilt under coat which is now visible in a few areas here and there where the paint wore off. This is an awesome old picture frame. I've never seen one like it. Estate find! There is a picture of an older gentleman in a white suit& straw hat.very dapper. The photo has a little damage in lower right corner. But the real attraction here is the frame. It measures approx. 2" x 3" And stands on a tabletop, dressing table, etc. There is a glass in the frame. Not sure what kind of metal.brass maybe? bronze? I haven't cleaned or polished it. Victorian Ornate Metal Gold Mantel Picture Frame This elegant frame dates from the 19th or early 20th century. On the back toward the top are the numbers 8724 845. On the bottom of the back on one side it looks like PAT with something I can’t read. On the right side it looks like the date: 12/19/94. Which I am guessing would be 1894. Look at the pictures closely; maybe you can enlighten me if you can make out more. It stands 12 inches tall and is approximately 7 1/8 inches wide. It holds a picture 4 1/4 inches wide by 6 1/4 inches tall. It is made of heavy iron and has a beautiful gold colored finish. It has 3 metal picture holders to hold a picture in but is missing the glass. There are no breaks or repairs.

Original metal backing plate, and the lovely gold finish is intact showing very little wear. Please scroll down under this description for additional views. An antique oval hanging picture frame. Circa 1900-1910, will accommodate a 7 1/2" by 9 1/2" print or photo. The frame is made of stamped tin that is painted gold- very easy access with the four tabs on the back. Soldered to the top of the oval is a molded soft metal(probably lead) bow decoration and a 12" length of heavy chain for hanging. The photograph is from the era and was in the frame when we bought it. No name or identification on the back unfortunately but she is a sweet-faced young woman with a"Gibson Girl" hair style. She is posed amidst billowing yards of white tulle with a shell cameo brooch gathering some of the abundant fabric. The glass is old and in good condition. There is one little split in the lead on the left loop of the decorative ... morebow but it's an unnoticeable flaw. Victorian/Nouveau/Edwardian Pierced Leaf/Scroll Cast Metal Picture Frame Signed
Please note that I do NOT ship outside of the United States at this time. I have for your consideration a lovely Art Nouveau/Edwardian Cast Metal Photo Frame. The frame measures 11 inches in height and 8 ½ inches across. The actual picture opening measures 5 inches by ¾ inches. The back is stamped with the number 08939. The easel piece has broken off. However. There is a new epoxy that just came out last year that will set this piece back in place permanently. Or, you can take a pretty piece of satin ribbon and thread it through the scrolling leaf pattern and hang the frame on the wall. The overall condition is very, very good but for the broken easel back. The original silver patina is worn a very tiny bit due to age but overall shows very, very well.
