Vintage Antique Could be 1900-1940 Picture Frame Solid Wood Black and Red
Vintage very old picture or art frame. It is solid wood and might have a layer of gesso. It is 10 by 7.75 inches on the outside and 7 by 8.5 on the inside. This is my favorite It is black and red. I do not see any chips or nicks. This came from my Great Grandma's estate. It could be from before 1940 and probably is I am just not sure. Glass& Photo included Listed for auction is a free standing vintage Art Deco style wooden frame that holds up to an 8" x 10" photograph. I believe it was probably made sometime between 1900-1940. It's made of wood that's painted silver and embossed with(black) decorative repeating patterns. It's remained in its original(very good- excellent) condition even after all of these years. The wood is not warped and shows nothing more than gentle use so it swivels well. The stand& frame are still stable& secure, and it looks almost as good as new too. The overall dimensions of the frame& stand are 12" high X 10-3/4" ... morewide X 1-3/4" deep. I have not removed the photograph that came in this frame when I purchased it to clean the inside of the glass but the glass appears to be in fine condition with no chips or cracks. The wood frame has rubbed a bit against the wooden base so you can see a very slight bit of wear in that spot(see my final photo) but other that. The frame& stand appear to be in very fine condition. Please look at the photos I've provided& ask any questions you may have before bidding on it because what you see in my photos is exactly what you will get. And. Beautiful Antique Ornate Brass Frame with a portrait of a Woman and a Baby. Frame measures 14 1/2 x 12. Picture part is 8 x 8. It is also gilded style around the picture part. It has 4 brackets on the back that holds picture. Has chain where it can be hung on the wall. Has a spot on the right side of the woman's shoulder. There are a few spots by her hand. It would probably need just a little cleaning and they would come off. Took pictures the best I could. There really small. Otherwise in great condition. Gorgeous frame. Pretty heavy. Offering a beautiful picture frame with a image of a very lovely victorian era little girl. This frame has no markings of where it was made. Dates prior to 1940's. It has a nice convex bubble glass and it may be kept as is or repurposed for a lovely mirror. Glass and frame are free of cracks. No scratches on the glass but some superficial ones on the back of the metal frame and some shrinking to the red felt backing. It has original patina. This antique. Vintage frame, made of tiger wood, measures 15" x 21" The opening is 11.5" x 17.5" The glass covering the picture is a convex curved glass. 1900-1940 ARTDECO GOLD BRASS JEWEL ORMOLU PICTURE FRAME E&J BASS? CZECH CRYSTALS
You are bidding on an incredibly special antique jeweled brass picture frame from the 1890's to the 1920's. The frame is most likely made by the E&J Bass company. Also known as Empire Art. The usual place for the E&J mark would be on the lower corner on the back. Unfortunately, these back lower corners are missing. There is no easel back. Looks exceptional resting on a small easel for tabletop viewing. The brass has been gilded and each corner has six faceted. Rose cut, bezel set Czech crystals- one as a triangle ruby, one in a deep curved sapphire, and two in pink and 2 in red. At the top, in the wreath and ribbon decoration, is a larger brilliant citron crystal. What is so fascinating is the highly detailed embossing in the metal. The front of the frame is in excellent antique condition. With the exception of 2 corner red ... morecrystals which show tiny cracks on an edge each(very inconspicuous) It is so rare to find one of these frames with all of the original crystals intact. The frame is quite heavy for its size. The visible area under the glass is 9" x 7.5" wide.
