The glass only measures approximately 50 wide by 12 tall. It is 1.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Vintage curved glass picture in nice wood frame. 25" wide 21" high. Frame is 1" thick with curve extending about another inch. Farm scene. I don't know whether its a print or original. Did not take it apart. You can tell the age by the back of the picture and I did not want to disturb it. I know the frame was faux painted, they did that to make the wood look like mahagany in that era and it has a painted gold trim. Oval Wood Tiger Stripe Frame Picture Antique Curved Concave Glass Elderly Man
This is an antique oval wooden frame with bulged. Bubble, or concave glass(curving outward) with a picture depicting an elderly man with a mid-eastern look to him with his hat and mustache. He has a nice expression on his face, looking like there is much wisdom behind the eyes that have a bit of a smile in them as well as sadness. I'm guessing this is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. The finish is that of a tiger stripe; as you can see from my many pictures that there are some scratches on the tiger stripe as well on the inner black frame area typical of storage/handling/age. Frame is solid with a wire hanger on the back. There are also some white marks on the glass which appear to be on the underside. The man is in black w/white underclothing and it looks like he is wearing a pin or perhaps that is a button. Frame measures ... more18 3/4" wide x 24 7/8" tall. Large Vintage Picture Frame with Oval Dome Convex Curved Bubble Glass
Up for auction is a vintage picture and frame with convex curved dome glass(often referred to as bubble glass) The frame is constructed in wood and plaster(wood frame with plaster ornamentation) The top border motif is of roses and leaves. The metallic gold painted plaster frame has a number of hairline cracks typical of vintage plaster frame construction but the cracks do not detract from the frame nor is the frame weaken by them; the frame is solid. Remember this a century old item that actually hung on walls and was likely touched up from time to time. The bubble glass has no cracks. On the inside of the glass it appears there are two spots that should clean off if the piece were disassembled. The frame and glass are oblong shaped and the frame measures approximately 21 inches top to bottom and 15 inches left to right at its widest point. ... moreThe photo in the frame is turn-of-the-century in terms of its date so likely the frame dates from that time as well. Large Vintage Deco Bow Front Curved Glass Picture Frame
I love this old picture and frame. Love the curved glass and the little flower type holders and he design in the brass toned metal around the edges. Definitely the art deco look. The glass is bowed out or curved in the center. The picture is of a sweet little boy with his hair slicked back neatly for picture day. It is about 15" tall and 11 1/4" wide and the inner dimensions are 13" tall and almost 9" wide. It stands up in the back an also has little O rings if you wanted to hand it. There is some whitish discoloration on some of the brass, like maybe water or cleaner was sprayed on and left. Not bad but had to mention. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day.

This frame is all metal/tin work, just fantastic, brushed gold edging with nice 4 filigree designs on each side, it has curved glass, that has no chips or cracks. There is a small area where white paint got on the frame(see picture) I was able to peel away a small piece, but I will leave it to the buyer to clean it. The hole piece will need a good cleaning, this has been stored away for a long time. I wiped it down, but nothing else. The backing is also all metal/tin, and complete. There are some scratches on the back metal and the back inside frame, but this only adds to the wonderful patina and look of this beautiful piece. Vintage Antique Oval Ornate Brass Picture Frame W Original Dome Curved Glass FR4
Very nice vintage brass oval ornate frame with original glass. Has some good age to it. Not sure if it's 30 years old or 100 years old. I got this from an estate full f antiques so I'm guessing its on the older end. The glass is not flat. It has a slight dome like curve to it. The picture on the inside looks like its a more modern print that was put in there. The letters FR4 are stamped on the backside of the frame. The velvet material on the back makes me think it's probably from the 40's-60's. The back comes off and may need a screw or nail to hold it in place. I'm not sure how this works. Please make your own judgement as to age. I'm not an expert in this subject. Look at pics for details and dimensions. Please let me know if you have any questions at all. When it hits ROCK BOTTOM. I rescue. Item Number:150 A VINTAGE METAL OVAL GOLD FLORENTINE PICTURE FRAME- BUBBLE DOME GLASS- TIN METAL BACK Vintage OVAL picture frame or collage display frame. With BUBBLE domed convex glass. Back is a metal plate made of magnetic metal, I am pretty sure it is TIN. Back lifts off, has metal bendable clips that fold down over the back and hold it in place. I took off the back and there is a piece of old cardboard in there with some shadows on one side, looks like there were pieces displayed in there in a past life. Plain cardboard on other side, this is the side that shows in the photos. Because whatever you display under the domed glass frame does not have to be perfectly FLAT, it opens up a wealth of possibilities for this frame. You could put a collage of photos or some small momentos in it nicely. Metal all ... morealong the frame border is hammered magnetic metal, appears to be tin also. Four elaborately carved non-magnetic metal alloy pieces enhance the sides, top and bottom. The metal alloy pieces have some"greening" to the metal, needs polished and further cleaning. Measures 23" long x 14" high total. Glass display surface measures 19 x 11. Beautiful frame, the OVAL shape is unusual. Anything you choose to put in this frame would be displayed elegantly. Glass has some light soil, needs further cleaned. Metal has some darkening, discoloration and greening. Surface scratches on back tin. Two holes on upper tin rim for hanging purposes wire attachment, old pieces of twisted wire still attached for hanging. Like most things I rescue. This metal frame had a prior home, and will most likely show signs of use, age and wear in varying degrees- which is part of its vintage appeal.
