Description Offered at auction is a quality antique pendant style picture frame which measures 5 1/2" long. 4 1/4" wide. The oval frame features a fine row of patterning around the perimeter. It has a solid brass back and a bale for hanging, and the glass is convex or bubble glass. The frame was made by K& O, Kronheimer and Oldenbusch of Brooklyn, New York. The company worked from 1895 to 1942. This frame probably dates to 1910-1920. It holds a print of a pretty lady. The frame and photo are both in very nice condition. I found a copy of the portrait on eBay that is rectangular, and has“Christ Is The Head Of This House” There is also the original cardboard backing that has hand written numbers 17477 in blue pencil and what appears to be a name or signature in lead pencil. Beautiful brass oval frame with convex glass and a steel backing plate. Leaf branch on top right and bottom left of the frame are solid brass. Photo of a woman shown is original to the frame. In excellent condition and is not adhered to the glass. Frame can be hung either vertically or horizontally and has notches on the sides to allow you to attach wire or string to hang it. The original linked chain IS included but the ends are split open and will need repaired to be able to hold them onto the frame. The steel backing piece is also original and is held in place by attached/ permenant fold-over tabs. Frame measures approx. 14 1/4 inches wide. 21 3/4 ... moreinches tall and 2" deep. A round portrait of a women is mounted inside on a burgundy background. The metal is in great shape and has flowers embossed on the sides. The glass is great with no cracks. The back stand as you can see is cracked, but still holding together and the frame stands upright. The back material is velvet or similar- felt-like material. The frame is 3-3/8" wide by 4-1/4" high and 1/2" thick. This came from an antique store liquidation auction. Along with many other things I will be listing. This is a high quality antique Art Deco brass octagon shaped convex bubble glass frame with its original child photo. It dates circa 1920s or 1930s. Overall it measures 15 7/8 inches x 9 7/8 inches(40.3cm x 25.1cm) The back opening measures about 1/4 inch smaller at 15 3/4 inches x 9 3/4 inches(40 cm x 24.8 cm) The metal molding is 1 inch wide(2.54 cm) This is a beautiful and well made frame with great lines and dimension. It was probably a very expensive frame in its day. It's quite classy. It can be hung up or can stand. The velvet back has scuff marks and is lightly discolored. There's a very slight separation of the black reverse painted glass on the bottom(please see photo) But nothing major.
