First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. I just love these deep antique shadow box frames. I have graduation pictures of all of my children in them- so much nicer than a cheap plastic frame. This walnut shadowbox has the intact gold liner. It is carved on the outer edge making it unique. The wood is in excellent shape but is dusty and needs a good polishing. This is a huge antique deep walnut picture frame in the Victorian eastlake style. It dates to the 1800s. I live in a small Maine town and this had been hanging in the old grange all these years. The frame itself measures 30 1/2" tall and 24 1/2" wide. It is 2 1/4" deep. It has the black painted lines around the inside of the frame and a very attractive gold border around the picture area. It is the original old glass. The picture size is 25 1/2" tall by 19 3/4" wide. It has the original Prayer print that was in it which is dated 1874. It says it is a emblematic prayer. It is all in very good condition. If you need a big frame or a large wall hanging this would do nicely.

Unusual Antique Victorian Deep Walnut 8x10" Shadow Box Picture Frame W/ Leaves Description. We've bought and sold hundreds of antique deep walnut frames. But never seen one like this, with the wooden leaf adornments in the corners. The leaves are similar to those found on frames generally called Adirondack or primitive style. It's possible that this was a one-off experiment in a frame shop. The addition to the leaves appears to have been original to the frame. As square nails are used to hold them in place. This is an ANTIQUE VICTORIAN DEEP WELL WALNUT FRAME WITH BUILT-ON SHADOW BOX- 14-1/4" x 12-1/4" x 7-1/4" LOVELY old deep well walnut frame with two"ebonized" bands and inside gilded patterned band/liner; original glass on frame. Frame portion itself measures approximately 14-1/4" x 12-1/4" x 2-1/8. Visible inside/display area through frame measures approx. 9-1/2 x 7-1/2. Frame has built-on black painted shadow box attached permanently to back. Shadow box portion itself measures approximately 11-5/8" x 10-1/8" x 5. Inside back of shadow box has mirror covering entire area; mirror is affixed to inside of box only loosely with a few brads. Inside of shadow box also has a removable shelf which rests on two wooden strips going across the middle. Frame. Which is"door" to shadow box, opens from ... moreleft(rather than from right) Frame is held in closed position by a sawed off nail. Which slips into holes on bottom left side of box and inner molding of frame. Entire piece is hung on wall using two 1/2" diameter eye hooks which are attached to top of shadow box portion. Weight of frame with shadow box is 6.5 lbs. CONDITION: This is a fabulous piece in which to display small pieces. Entire piece looks great on wall. Here's a specific list of irregularities in an effort to fully disclose its antique charm: Frame is in lovely antique condition with visible age appropriate/ age-related use marks. Surface marks, imperfections, including a few nail pokes visible on front of frame; some gold worn off of gilded liner piece, baring a little plaster; finish worn off of walnut here and there. And many age marks on walnut wood. Glass itself appears to be original and has a few visible irregularities. Shadow box itself is obviously handmade and is primitive in construction. Painted with matte black paint. Worn off on inside in places. Wood is rough in some areas. Nails are visible. Three of four corners don't meet tightly. Up for auction is an antique Victorian era deep well walnut frame with lemon gold liner recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is found in good to very good used condition. The old original eye hooks and wire remain. But the glass may be a replacement. This frame will accommodate a 9" x 7" picture, but can be changed to accommodate a horizontal piece as well. At some point this has been reglued- typical as glue from that era does not usually make it into this age. The whole piece overall is 9" x 11" x 1 1/2" in size. Currently a print is in this piece. Inside the frame is an image of an Older Gentleman with a white beard. I don't know if it is an actual photograph or a painting. It looks kind of chalk-like, slightly blurry. It measures 15 1/4" x 13 1/4" and inner picture diameter is 9 3/4" x 7 3/4" Has the Original glass in front. The backing has some tape holding it intact on backside. There are some scratches to the inner gold border. Walnut has a nice color to it. And has 1-2 minor rub spots otherwise Very Nice Shape for a piece of this age!
