It is not my intention to mislead in any way with the information provided. Just letting you know what I know(sorry not much: I found the bottle in the bottom of a box of old"junk" at a local sale and thought it interesting. I was told by the seller it was from her grandmother's things and they had been in storage and forgotten about. It looks to me to be authentic, the items in the box were definitely old, and I believe it is probably an antique. It is not marked that I can find. The metal looks and feels like sterling but again, it is not marked. I did a quick magnetic test on it and it is not magnetic. I'm not sure what other metal it would be honestly, to steer in that direction. I dipped it in Tarn-X and it did shine up a bit, in particular the flower part of the lid and the chain. It could have been just dirty though so I really don't know. The main part of the bottle is duller than under the rim, which is very shiny, and I assume the dullness from handling. After all of this being said. It is a sweet little bottle and dauber. It screws on and off easily. In my opinion it is made well. Any questions let me know! c1890 French ART NOUVEAU Silver CHATELAINE Perfume / Scent Bottle -Floral Design
From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. I guarantee it to be silver and not plated. The last two photos have a yellowish tint but that is just the way the light reflects and NOT there in real life. Maker is the very respected William Hutton& Sons. Measures 10cm tall. It needs some work as the hinge pin has broken internally- the hinge itself is not damaged so it just needs the pin removing and replacing. Description Welcome to my Auction. For a superb Antique Victorian- Solid silver& deep cobalt blue glass. Miniature scent/ perfume bottle. With a corked screw top so no need for a stopper. Circa 1880 In wonderful condition. Not hallmarked as was so typical with these Antique Victorian scent bottles. The beautiful flat tubular glass is in lovely condition. The blue bottle is the most wonderful colour being the deepest of the cobalt shades with a hint of purple. With no chips or nibbles. The solid silver screw on lid has heavy repousse silver work of flowers& leaves. Absolutely stunning. I can feel a slight indentation to the lid where the tip of my finger rests when unscrewing the lid. This is very hard to see due to the ornate decoration to the lid. I mention for total accuracy. ANTIQUE FRENCH AMETHYST AND SILVER GILT PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE FLASK WITH STOPPER
A superb and very beautiful amethyst glass and silver gilt scent bottle from France. And dating from about 1860. The silver gilt mounts are finely engraved with foliage. And there is a fitted glass stopper. The body of the scent is elegantly shaped and the whole is beautifully designed and worked. The condition is excellent. Hinge is good. As is closure. The stopper fits perfectly. There are no dents in the silver gilt which is a lovely shade of pale gold. I can find no chips to the glass either. All together a wonderful scent to have in the hand. Measuring just 4" in length.

This tiny scent bottle is a truly beautiful cobalt blue color in very good condition! It has nicks on the top and a very few tiny nicks to the cut glass edges. Please look at all photo's closely. Overall. It's in really great shape. I believe this scent bottle must be at least 100 years old and probably older. I would not be at all surprised if it were made in the late 1800's but it is NOT marked. The glass is hand cut and the lines are imperfect. The sterling top is in excellent condition with no dents, dings or splits. The cork inside is intact and whole. I can still smell a hint of whatever perfume used to be kept in it. It measures a VERY small 15/16" wide by 1-7/8" tall and is 1/2" deep. I am downsizing my personal collections and will be listing many vanity items. Description For your consideration today is this beautiful late Victorian perfume bottle made by William Comyns. This bottle is cut crystal and has a gorgeous repousse sterling silver hinged top featuring a pair of doves. It is hallmarked around the neck of the bottle with William Comyns stamp. The Silver Standard Mark, the London, England City Mark, the Date Letter of 1889. And the Duty Mark of Queen Victoria the I. The bottle is 5 1/4" tall and 4" across. There is a small push button on the front which keeps the bottle securely closed. There is no inner stop. There is a bit of staining on the inside of the bottle and it still has a beautiful lingering scent of the last perfume kept inside it. The bottle has a hobnail cut crystal body. Antique green glass and sterling silver over lay scent bottle. Condition: there is a dent on the top of the marked sterling silver lid. I can't remove the inner glass stopper and there is perfume or salts residue on the inside of the bottle. There are nicks on the glass stopper and on the edge of the top of the bottle. You may be able to get the stopper out. I have soaked it in hot water with no results. The lid screws on and off nicely with no problems. It is a heavy little thing, super shiny and displays VERY nicely. Please view all photo's and enlarge them. This piece measures 2-3/16" tall with lid in place and is 1-1/16" in diameter. Vintage. Possibly Antique, Perfume Ring Silver Metal(possible Sterling but unmarked) Approximately 7/8" Long by 1/2" Diameter Very Nice Condition! I apologize but this is a little out of my realm of expertise. It is not my intention to mislead in any way with the information provided. Just letting you know what I know(sorry not much: I found the bottle in the bottom of a box of old"junk" at a local sale and thought it interesting. I was told by the seller it was from her grandmother's things and they had been in storage and forgotten about. It looks to me to be authentic, the items in the box were definitely old, and I believe it is probably an antique. It is not marked that I can find. The metal looks and feels like sterling but again, it is not marked. I did a quick magnetic test on it and it is not magnetic. I'm ... morenot sure what other metal it would be honestly, to steer in that direction. I dipped it in Tarn-X and it did shine up a bit, in particular the flower part of the lid and the chain. It could have been just dirty though so I really don't know. The main part of the bottle is duller than under the rim, which is very shiny, and I assume the dullness from handling. All in all, none of the crystal bodies have any major damage, just a very few fleabites on the bottle with a ball top. RW & S scent perfume etched glass bottle sterling silver stopper
This is a very pretty Sterling Silver top etched glass perfume bottle. The silver is in very good condition. There is some wear where the dabber/stopper enters the neck of the bottle. Which is normal with age and use. The stopper is chipped as shown in the pictures, but it is still a beautiful display item and still very collectible. Just for accuracy there are a few light scratches that are towards the bottom of the bottle on the outside and are hardly noticeable. It measures approx. 5" tall by 3" diameter at it's widest. The silver is marked R W& S with a deer or a stag and numbers: 400-4 Robert Wallace silversmith. I believe after researching the hallmarks that it is American made in Connecticut. In 1855 Wallace was doing business as Robert Wallace& Co. And the firm was renamed R. Wallace& Sons in 1871. So the ... morebottle is at least made in 1871. It is monogrammed on the top.
