This listing features a cool. Old porcelain perfume bottle(may be a snuff bottle- you tell me) with a Colonial courting scene on both sides(different images) It has no chips or cracks. The gray painted sides have some finish wear from handling and the crown top has some metal finish wear as well. The cork stopper has started to crumble from age. It measures 3" x 2" x 1/2" I think it is lovely! Al l items I sell are either vintage or antique. So, there may be some less than perfect condition factor. Made in Western Germany on a silver disc on bottom. This is hand painted in raised enamels on a porcelain bottle. The stopper looks to be plastic, and I can't easily get it open so I am not going to try and force it, will leave that up to the new owner. This measures 4 1/2" tall and would be a great addition to your collectible bottles. Beautiful little Porcelain Bird/Pelican? Perfume Bottle. Floral Top is metal& cork is fragile. The top is not tight fitting most likely because of wear to the cork. Bottom is marked Germany. I can not find Any cracks or chips! And while I was looking this over carefully for flaws. I noticed on one side, on the lower wing area, the numbers 7081! This is etched right into the porcelain so its hard to read! There is discoloration but not sure if it was made as such or from age. I honestly do not want to attempt cleaning this beyond the simple washing I gave it because it is porcelain/fragile. Antique Zsolnay Porcelain Pottery Perfume Scent Bottle 4" 1800s Hungary
Hi. I have for sale a Zsolnay perfume- scent bottle made in Hungary It is marked Zsolnay and is consistent with their marks. It is 4 inches long by about 3 inches wide This is made between 1865- 1900 The pictures on each side depict a fairytale from the Grimm Brothers. Zsolnay(1828-1900) took over the family business in 1865. It was taken in another direction. Vilmos produced high-end tea services and vases instead. Early tea services depicting scenes from the Brothers Grimm tales date back to this era. Brothers Grimm wrote fairytales such as Cinderella. Snow White and many others. There is a crack on the very top left where the cork would go(see picture) it is not real noticeable. There is a cork missing it did have a cork at one time. For sale is an antique porcelain scent perfume bottle circa 1900 with a beautiful Josephine portrait as shown in the photos. Does not include the stopper. Size is 2-1/4" wide x 1-3/4" tall x 3/4" thick at its thickest point. I believe this is called a transfer painting. It has hand painted gold gilt stenciling all around. The condition of the artwork as well as the gold gilt and porcelain is very good. This is a nice atomizer perfume bottle by Gregor of Bavaria Germany. The porcelain bottle is decorated on opposite sides with two different transfer ware floral arrangements including a large red rose on one side and an orchid on the other plus gold trim. The brass atomizer has a plum colored bulb in working order. Including the atomizer the bottle is about 5" tall. I can find no information on the Gregor company. I see they made both porcelain and glass perfume bottles. Others offer them for $75 to $125 EACH. I suspect this company operated after WWII up to maybe 1973 when WEST Germany became the norm for labeling. Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with. This is a great crowntop perfume bottle. It is in good condition with a"k" mark on the bottom. Rare German figural perfume/ scent bottle in the shape of a seated cat. they are painted bright yellow. And there is a crown shaped stopper on the top of the cat; it is silver(or pewter) color with cork surrounding the part that extends down into the bottle. Cat, including crown, is approx 3 3/4 inches tall. The bottom of the cat is unglazed, and has the letter"K" on it. This is an unusual and cute bottle, and I think you'd be very pleased with it. This cute perfume was found in the south of France. It has a top section for liquid perfume and a bottom section for solid perfume. The top is empty. But some of the solid remains. It smells still very nice. The bottom half is decorated with Egyptian style bathing beauties with harps etc. I believe this dates to the first half of the 20th century. The bottle is in good condition with as flaw that there are two chips to the gold band as shown. There is no maker an this piece. They are standing 6 1/2" tall with the stoppers and measures the bottom at approx; around 3" x 3" It is in excellent condition. But one stopper have a small chip on the end, one bottle previously used,I still smell old perfume sense. 19th. Century French Porcelain Perfume / Scent Bottle Hand Painted
We are offering 2 antique perfume bottles. They are hand painted and gilded. The first one is 6 5/8" stopper included) high. Bottom diameter is 2 5/8" The bottle has 4 hand painted panels with purple and lavender flowers and is accented with cobalt blue scrolls. The gold shows wear. Especially on the rim of the stopper and on the neck. Both bottles have a diagonal line on the bottom. This first one also has a letter engraved on the bottom. It is cursive and we cannot interpret it. The second bottle is a tad shorter. 6 1/2" This is because the stopper fits more deeply into the neck of the bottle. The shape of the bottle is identical to the first one. The design on this bottle is a little less elaborate. There are clusters of pink and of maroon flowers. This bottle has a hairline, about 2" long, on one of the panels. The ... morebottom of the stopper has a few nicks, quite small. The gold trim on this bottle shows wear also. Each bottle weighs nearly a pound.
