You are looing at a pair of antique hand blown and hand painted vanity/perfume bottles. The glass is white with gold hand painted decoration. The items measure 3 1/2" tall without the stopper and about 5" tall with the stopper. It was hand made and is very very fine and delicate. It measures 6.5 inches tall. The bottle is lovely and has no chips or cracks. The dauber/ applicator is ground glass. This Venetian art glass perfume bottle is vintage but was never used to hold perfume. It is 3-1/2" tall without the stopper. 5" tall with it and 3" wide. It is in very good condition with only a small black speck on the stopper. The tip of the stopper also appears to have been chipped off but in a smooth fashion. Also, the stopper does not fit tightly in the bottle and may not be the original although it does match in color. Antique Victorian hand blown gilded glass tear catcher or perfume bottle
This is a mid-Victorian. Hand blown glass bottle. Bottles in this shape were sometimes used for perfume and sometimes for mourning as a tear catcher or lachrymatory bottle. It's said that a widow would collect her tears in the bottle and empty them on the grave of her husband on the anniversary of his death. This bottle measures 5" and. Remarkably, still has its original stopper. It retains almost all of its gilding on the top, bottom, sides, and stopper, though it has rubbed off in some places from being handled. The sides are etched with crosses for grip. No chips or cracks.

Vintage Hand Blown Crystal Glass Cone Shaped Perfume Bottle
Up for your consideration is a lovely Hand Blown Glass Perfume bottle. It is pontiled on the bottom of the bottle. The bottle is in very good condition, and has a ground top. If you see yellowing around the top, it has bee wrapped in old scotch tape, to keep it safe. The bottle is about 6 inched tall and 3 inches across. It is a tall cone shape, very deep grooves in the glass. I do not have any idea of manufacturing, it has no marking on the bottom, and it quite heavy glass. I have no idea as to the age of the bottle. This bottle came from a high end collector. And I'm offering some of her prized bottles. Thank you so much for looking! Please check my other items! She has decided to write up a report on what is known about this company which we are pleased to publish on this website. The company started as a jobber or importer of various vanity items in the 1920's ... morein New York. The head of the company was named Irving W. Rice and he gave an abbrievation of his name to the company which appears on the distinctive silver and blue foil labels ever since- IRICE. The company still exists today in New York and every Christmas if you go to a drug store and look on the counter there will be a display of Irice atomizers. The company never made the items. They were importers and jobbers. So the perfume atomizers and bottles spanned a wide variety of qualities and countries. Irice brought in boxcar loads of Czechslovakian crystal before World War II. During the war. Irice used American companies and then after hostilities were over, the company began importing again, but this time from West Germany and the labels reflect this. Today most of the sources are in the Far East in Japan and later in Taiwan. Irice is located in New York City at 15 West 34th St. and continues to supply vanity items and perfume bottles to America.
