Portrait is beautifully painted in KPM style and quality although the back of the plaque is unmarked. This plaque depicts the"Neopolitan boy" who was a very famous male model of the time in Italy. The portrait is after Rickter and the KPM version was painted by Hefs. The original painting is hanging in the Louvre Museum in Paris. The porcelain is framed in an ornate wooden frame with a bright gilt finish. The frame is in excellent condition. There are a few minor no-harm surface scratches in the enameling and a tiny pin-point speck where paint is missing. There is also a small chip on the outer edge of the porcelain that is covered totally by the frame. Please see all photos. The oval plaque measures 3" high and 2 1/2" wide.
