ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN CARVED WALUT WOOD CREST or FURNITURE PEDIMENT PARTS Two beautiful. Old, Victorian Wood Pieces that go together nicely, and form a crest, or just to use as parts. They are carved from Walnut with very ornate carved flowers and leaves that are carved all the way through. They both have a scalloped top and plain back. This was probably part of a settee or large chair, perhaps a chaise lounge, because it has holes where upholstery tacks were(see photos) Also, on each end there are holes for dowels(the photos show both pieces put together like an arch way(they would have to be doweled again or glued to stay this way) These beautiful pieces of wood each measure approximately 13 1/2" high x 12" across. So, together, they would measure about 24" across. The wood is about 1 3/16" thick. This very ... moredecorative wood is in good condition but would need some refinishing or painting and a little restoration where the dowel holes and upholstery tack holes are. Rare. Unusual architectural antiques. VERY hearvy, thick, completely original, mixed woods and veneers. I've never seen any quite like them. We have had them in the last 8 attics hoping to redo an old historical home one day. What can I say? WE are"antique" now and need to pass these treasures on to someone younger who can do them justice in a home. They could be incorporated into other areas, but I imagine were intended to be PEDIMENTS over big windows and/or doors way back when. Please study the photos to see just what you would be getting. They are both quite sturdy. But could use refinishing and reinforcing. There is a small area of very OLD termite damage as shown on one of them, but otherwise all there, not damaged. a LOCAL sale(Austin, Tx area) would be ideal, of course, so you could inspect them personally. 2 Antique Wood Pediments Furniture Pieces? Could Use For Shelf Brackets WOW- went to my favorite flea market this weekend and found some awesome treasures for you- I’ll be listing all week. So keep checking! I'm not quite sure what these two beautiful pieces came from. But I took one look, and I saw some beautiful make do shelf brackets- don't you agree? Each one is made of solid wood, and I do believe that it is oak, although the patina is so dark, check out and see what you think. They are exact matches in size and style- and if you decide to use them as shelf brackets, each would sit with the design side out as I have in photo 4. They both have a scrolly raised design on the outside that is very art nouveau to me, and they measures each 4 1/4" wide by 3/4" thick at the top/wide end, 2 1/2" by 3/4" thick at the ... moreshort end/bottom, and 5 7/8" tall. Each one weighs 1/2 lb. They are in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally, with a fair amount of wear in scratches, scrapes, nicks, dings and cracks that do not move, in addition to general finish wear. Both have a hole on the long back end(the 5 7/8" side) that goes all the way through, but no hole on the top, so you would need to create one to affix to your shelf. The finish shows alligatoring from age, and the patina is dark and rich- please supersize and look at all. The decorated side, the short bottom, and the front side that follows the curve of the pieces are finished the same, while the opposite side of the decorated side, the flat back side and the 4 1/4" long top side are stained, but don't appear to be varnished. I'm showing in photos 17& 18 that there's a 1" by 1/4" chip/surface crack at the long top flat side of one of them- it's close to the screw hole that's there, and there's no movement by it at all- and I pressed pretty hard, so it is secure. I think they are two lovely old pieces, that deserve another chance at life. To a good home only. Customer satisfaction

Fabulous pair of carved wood peacocks that were once part of an antique sofa front. They had been cut in half- Each piece measures 35" wide and 25" high and 3" deep. They are in good condition. I am not sure what the wood is. Beautifully detailed pieces that could be used as wall hanging or put together. There is part of the wood where the fabric was attached to the pieces. Lot 6 Antique Ornate Pediments Carved Wood Pieces Trim Chairs
Up for your consideration is 6 antique vintage ornate carved wood pediments. Nice pieces with a beautiful raised ornate design and flower. I belive they were on the top back of a set of 6 chairs. 4 are curved and 2 are flat. They measure about 11" long. And from peg to peg inside measures about 5 1/4" They could used a good cleaning and they do have a few dings, scuffs, marks, so please see all photos for more description. 1 has a small chip off the bottom corner as shown in photo. Antique Wood Header Pediments Set of 2 ~ Mahogany ~ Cut out Scroll Design 31"
Set of 2 Antique Mahogany Headers ~ Pediments Each measures 31" across Sides gently curve into the scroll design Condition: There is no damage to either piece. However, as shown in photo, one piece does not lay completely flat. This may be fixed by exposing the wood to moisure and applying weight to reset in place. Also, both could use some touch-up to the finish(see last photo) where there is wear. Also an easy fix with a dab of Conditioning Stain. There are no breaks. Cracks or chips. Two Architectural Antique Wood Pediments These highly carved walnut wood pediments were rescued from a massive 19thC Victorian sideboard cabinet Although of different lengths. Each is carved with the same intricate leaf and berry design at the top corners The smaller cornice is near Perfect! ~ Squared across the top with a charming raised. Beveled arc that is accented with a band of carved leaves 16" wide x 8 1/4" long x 1 5/8" deep As you can see. The longer piece has been damaged Approximately 2 3/4" has broken away from the right end It's a clean break& perhaps the other end could be cut to match ~ In addition. ~ Two Antique Copper/Brass Window Valances ~ I recently brought these charming antique valences home from a wonderful original late 1800's homestead estate ~ It was classic Victorian from top to bottom and boy.What fun we all had.it was so hard to leave! Each valance is 58" long and made from a 1" thick plank that's beveled on one side similar to crown molding. Then covered with thin 15" x 4 1/4" lengths of deeply embossed/raised relief copper.carefully matched& fastened by copper tacks At first I thought perhaps it was a colored tin. But seeing that the underside has the same coppery tone(only slightly brighter) I'm thinking it's copper or a copper/brass mix Love the touches of old blue rust on the well-aged patina! Originally padded and wrapped with fabric beneath the copper. There are only tiny remnants ... morenow. Rare Antique 1800s Victorian Embossed Tin Over Wood 39" Window Valance Pediments
This is a very rare find its three sections of embossed gilded tin over wood. They overlap to make it look like it's one long piece. It dates back to the Victorian days and is approx. 391/2" long and about 5"high. I bent back a couple sections so you can see what it looks like under the paint.
