Astounding Wooden Pediment Crest Cartouche with Cherubs 18 inch
This relief carving features festoon draped cupids supporting a cartouche climaxing in a wonderful shell at the top. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It was originally part of a built in armoire. It is made of oak and is painted. There are ornate moldings along the bottom. The center has an Eastlake Spoon Carved panel with carved brackets and corbels with ornate moldings and carvings at either side. There is a nice carved crown along the top. It measures 67 inches wide by 14.25 tall. It is 3 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. There is a lot of paint on the piece. The top center has a chip in the carving. Please look at the pictures carefully. 34' & 35' INCH MAHOGANY CARVED WOOD CORNICE scalloped PEDIMENT W TULIP, FLOWER
These are two original carved wood pediment pieces with original Finish. One measures almost 34 inches and the other almost 35 inches. They are also less the 1 inch thick. Outstanding Fatigued Weeping Angel Sculptural Pediment Wood 27 inch
This fantastic sculpture is 27x12x4" and quite heavy. The angel is highly animated with its curved wings draped over its body suggesting great fatigue or despair. Look closely to see a winged bird perched on the angel's staff. This sculpture's proportions are perfect. I especially like the way light and shadow play across the deep relief carving.
