Made of a lighter weight composite type material, it is perfect for hanging because it is not extremely heavy. They are a great size(measuring approximately 22-1/2" x 14-1/2" x 1-1/8" thick) to use as an architectural element above a bed, sofa, mirror, fireplace, artwork, buffet, or even in the garden. Architectural Salvage Eastlake Pediment Carved /Appliqued Oak Vintage Decorative
This is an Eastlake-style pediment and my best guess is that it's off a dresser or a mirror. It is carved and the arch is an applique. The oak has no stain or varnish left on it and is quite lovely in that it's survived to find a new use as a decorative wall hanging. It is 22" long. 7" high and a little more than an inch thick.

Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of oak and is currently painted. It was originally the crown to a built in armoire. There is a small shelf at the top that is trimmed in reel and bead molding. The breast has applied carved festoons with flowers. It measures 67.75 inches wide by 8.75 inches tall and is 3.25 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple light cracks. The right side return molding is missing. There is some wood loss at the bottom. Please look at the pictures carefully.
