Antique Solid Wood Carved Table Apron Salvaged Furniture Victorian Chic Shabby
This is the apron f rom an antique table that was about 68"X48" It was an oval table. So some of these are more curved since they were on the ends and the straighter ones were the sides. They are mortise and tenon. One piece has a n edge that is broken off near the end on the back. Please look over pictures) These are almost 6" wide at the widest and each piece is about 23"2 3.5" lo ng. these are r eally HEAVY! They will cost at lea st $35. to ship. Maybe more! They are about 30 pounds before packing! There are a few missing edges. Also include are the pieces that you screw to the bottom of your tab le. T hat slide into the grove on the back of these to hold the apron on your table. I think these are oak. But I am not a wood expert. So not sure. Salvaged Hardwood Furniture Base Stand Vintage Antique 22"
Tri leg stand measuring 22" tall with a leg span of about 19" meaning that the bottom will occupy a space of 19"x19" The spindle post is about 2-3/4" thick at the widest point. I have left the insert peg in the top to give the next owner the option of using it or removing it. There are some flaws so examine pictures carefully. One of the legs appears upon close inspection to have been reattached at some point in the past. This appears to me to be a very sturdy solid salvage piece. This set consists of a matched set of 7. Backing plates are heavy stamped brass and bails are steel. One has a key hole, the others do not. The bore on this set is 3" The row on the right in the first picture consists of 4 matching pulls. These are heavy cast brass. One is missing a bail. These are also a 3" bore. The row in the front consists of 3 matching pulls. This set is some sort of metal, probably spelter as a magnet does not stick to them. The mounting screw is in the center of the pulls. The aged patina will make them look like they were there forever These were on a small dresser which was made in England circa 1800-1840. It had hand cut dovetail drawers, hand planed drawer bottoms, it was made mostly of solid cherry*some back plates(2 out of 6)have a small tear/crack in the brass.you hardly notice it when they are mounted and secured with the screws.also the hand wrought posts are jiggly/loose. It does not effect the function, the bail handles lift and swivel just fine These are made entirely from solid cast brass Incredible naturally aged patina. Of course you could be hand buffed to highlight the brass if you wish. They are currently in their natural state with a beautiful 195 year old patina These originally had 4 tiny solid brass screws ... morein the back plate attaching them to the drawer front I will include 5 new solid brass 1/2 inch long screws(includes 1 extra screw) custom aged to match the patina of the pull You will need to drill/chisel a small recess since the hand wrought mounting posts protrudes from the back side of the back plate. That will allow them to lay perfectly flat(see photo of back side of the back plate) I guarantee you will never find anything like this in any retail store. WOOD FINIAL antique vintage old bed clock armoire furniture part salvaged piece
You are buying ONE(1) wood finial. about 7 1/2 inches tall. Appears to be a softwood. Stained dark. Lots of dings where the stain is chipped off. There are NO defects in the form. all the contours are smooth and undamaged.no chips or gouges. There are at least two places that are problematic. There is one line on the base that appears to be an original wood growth line. The other is a connected line on the top that outlines a large(2 inch chip) I think that the chip was reglued at the wood shop prior to staining because the line is stained and not a different color than the rest of the piece. it is round on the edges and looks like is was sanded prior to staining. it is very faint. However you will have to be the judge. I think this is a very nice piece(after touch up re-staining) and I will be happy to take it back. No questions asked.
