Ohio The company made fancy pavers for sidewalks and such. The company went out of business in the 1930's. Salt glazing. Produced by shoveling salt into the fire at high temeratures gave Nelsonville Brick pavers a distinctive finish and ... moremade them more watertight. For sale 2 Art Deco Clay Brick Pavers. These are high quality clay pavers They weigh slightly over 7lbs each and measure 8" long by 4" wide by 2 3/4" tall. They are reclaimed and 90-100 years old and show slight signs of wear on them with possible minor chips. These pavers were originally used as street pavers and may show signs of darkening due to exhaust/oil which adds to the history of these unique pavers. Manufactured in Caney. Kansas. The pavers in the picture are samples of what you will be receiving and the actually pavers mailed my vary in coloration and condition but will not contain major chips.

One source says that it was made in Portsmouth. Ohio while another source says.Portsmouth Granite” blocks were made in Firebrick, Kentucky. You would have to do some research on this one. This brick was made sometime in the very early 1900's. Our brick is marked"Portsmouth Granite Block" on the front. The word Portsmouth is barely visible. I guess it wasn't struck just right when it was made. Brick just has 1 line going across the back. Brick is kind of odd shaped too. Antique GRAFTON WV Paver Brick & Spike from B&O Railroad Shops Keyser WV
Here's an antique paver brick that reads"GRAFTON WEST VA" It's over 100 years old! You also get an old rusty B&O Railroad spike. This brick weighs 9-1/2 lbs and measures 9" long by 4" wide by 3-3/4" These bricks were sold to the B&O Railroad and shipped to Keyser. W.Va. back in the late 1800's when building the shops and turntable. As you can see, this brick is in pretty nice shape considering the age. The spike is rusty, weighs a little over 12 ounces. This brick was originally laid at the(now defunct) B& O Railroad shops and Roundhouse turn table that were located in Keyser. West Virginia. These facilities, built in the late 1880's, were demolished in the 1970's. As a teenager, I salvaged a number of these bricks as well as the spikes from the same site. Antique, Collectable, Vintage Paver
I found this old brick in southeast Atlanta. I can't find very much information about it. It was manufactured by the Crucial Fire Brick Co. of Rome. GA. The company was founded sometime around 1860 and went bankrupt in 1913. In 1903 the company was valued at $250,000, a lot of money at the time. The brick is at least 100 years old and possibly as old as 150, and as far as I can tell, very rare. I've collected old bricks over the years, and this is the only one of this kind I've ever seen.

2200 Historic and Antique - Purington Paver bricks
Auction is for 2200"Purington Paver" bricks reclaimed from the streets of Minneapolis and sought after for their history. Uniqueness and durability. These Purington kiln fired bricks date back to the 1800's and are free from mortar and asphalt. Size is 8.5" X 3 5/8" X 3 3/4" and approximately 9lbs each. These could make a beautiful pathway, walkway, driveway, garden or patio that is unlike any other. Unfortunately I can not deliver or ship due to quantity. You will need to make arrangements for shipping on your dime. The bricks are on pallets though and I will band them together as needed. These bricks were made by Nelsonville Brick Co. located in Nelsonville, Ohio from 1880 to 1937. These bricks were advertised by Nelsonville Brick as the world's most durable brick and held up well because they were salt glazed and baked twice. This process prevents water, ice and snow from getting into cracks which causes the bricks to freeze, thaw, and break apart. This is an original Nay Aug Pa Paver. Here is what we know of Nay Aug: Nay Aug. Pa was once a settlement town between Dunmore(then known as Bucktown) Elmhurst(then known as Dunning) established by the Nay Aug Paving Brick Company in the late 1800s. Nay Aug was a self sustained company town. This area is now part of Dunmore, once accessible by the old Drinker Turnpike and the Nay Aug(Greenville) Station of the DLW Railroad. Roaring Brook was once known as Nay Aug Brook. Nay Aug Avenue, Nay Aug Park, Nay Aug Falls, Nay Aug Tunnel, etc. were all named from the Indian word for Roaring Brook(Nay Aug) all located in Scranton, PA area. Only ruins and remnants of Nay Aug, PA still exist as time and erosion have taken their toll. The N and G and S are backwards. $13 shipping and handling. Will only send to continental USA.

West Virginia used to be a part of Virginia until June 20th. 1863 when West Virginia became it's own separate state. That was only about 20 years before this brick was made. Here are 3 fine old Coffeyville. Kansas bricks. These bricks are in great shape, with all the letters intact. And from what I have been told very hard to find where the letters are intact& not worn down from cars going back and forth on them. The first going from top to bottom is a sidewalk brick, the second is a construction brick, and the last one is a small street paver.
