This is a great looking colonial ststirring pot with round ... morebottom and outer base ring to keep the pot upright when sitting on a flat surface. The tipping handle on the upper rim is marked with a highly embossed"4" 4 quarts) The underside has the old production gate mark that is found on early cast iron. The makers logo"BD" is also embossed on the base. There is a single crack that measures 2 3/4 inches long. Shown in detail on the bottom. Because of this, it will not make a good cooking pot. It does however make an awesome historical display piece. This has a black iron finish with no rust and has been seasoned to prevent oxidation.

Pair of Antique Cast Iron Horse Heads Gate Posts w/ Horseshoes
This is a wonderful old pair of cast iron horse head gate post toppers that have been used. So they do have a few spots of surface rust. I have not attempted to clean them in any way, so the lucky bidder gets that job. They have no chips or cracks in the cast iron and the horseshoes do move back and forth. They are very good quality cast iron, but I see no maker marks, which surprises me. They have a two inch opening on the bottom, so they will sit on a two inch pipe or fence post. They are 10 1/2" tall and they weight a ton. I believe the lucky bidder will be very pleased. Bidders good luck!

here are four separate old wrought iron architectural pieces. they are all the same except one has a leaf like decoration in the middle. each measure approximately 24 1/2'h x 8'w x 1 1/4'd and weigh just under 8 pounds. they are all very solid and just have surface oxidation from age. im not sure of their original indented usage however they would make for neat garden décor or to do with whatever is desired.

There are crossbars across the body with a cast iron flower in the middle. The pin is present and the keeper is intact but loose. There is rust overall. It measures 29.75 inches wide by 40 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Lovely 18" Antique Architectural Iron Fixtures w/Ladies Heads from Antique Gate?
Nice pair of antique iron plaques. We've had these for many years. Not sure what they were originally part of- possibly a gate or some type of railing? They measure 19" tall and 18" tall, the left one a little taller because of the top floral design. Each plaque is 6 3/8" across and the faces are almost 1 1/4" deep. We did not attempt to clean these, they still have faint traces of the original paint and do have quite a bit of rust, please view the photos carefully. There is one missing metal top piece on the right plaque, this one also has screws broken off in the hanging holes. Nice overall design and look about them and hope they will make a nice addition to any garden, gate, room or collection. These were removed from a fence that was originally around the Brazilian Embassy in Washington D.C. They are estimated to be around 50 years old- AT LEAST. Gorgeous scroll. Because they are Cast Iron- they cannot be welded however they have 6 pre drilled holes and brass screws still intact from where we cut them off the fence. The story is that gates like this once hung in walkway paths of cemeteries in the late 1800s; lanterns were hung from the gate posts or above the entrance. As seen in picture. This specific set of gate doors were adorned with 2 beautiful hanging lanterns; gate and lanterns are intricately designed as was the style in the era they were made, but is a rare find today. MEASUREMENTS: 43" Wide 17½" High Overall This pretty old gate were used to protect the basement window on a Victorian home in Philadelphia. There are 11 twisted iron vertical bars that are curled at the top. They are adorned by 11 metal flowers. The first flower on the left has a small hole. The second flower has a missing petal. The fifth flower from the left has a small hole. The other flowers have no missing or broken petals.
