I am unsure of its age but am guessing that it's at least vintage based on the crazing of the finish and the dust embedded in the groove of the handle. It does not have any cracks. Chips, or breaks but does have imperfections as shown in the pictures. It has minor scuffs/rub marks around the widest part. It is 7-1/2" in height and about 5" at its widest. Vintage Stoneware Crock Pitcher Jug 1/2 Gallon Brown & Cream 8 1/2" Pottery
Awesome Vintage Brown/Cream 1/2 Gallon 8 1/2" Jug Pitcher. Has a wonderful almost salt-glazed finish to it. In Excellent condition with no cracks.Chips or scratches.The inside is the brown glaze. No markings on the bottom. You can feel the potters wheel marks on the bottom. Quite a heavy pitcher 4lbs 2oz. Would go great with any decor. Take a look at the pictures.

The jug has a brown top and then a band of tan coloring and then cream color on the bottom section. It has an applied handle and is estimated to be half gallon size. The crock whiskey jug measures about 10 1/4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It is pretty good condition but does have a couple of surface chips in the dark brown area toward the tan colored band. There's also crazing on the bottom and sides of the jug mainly noted in the light colored areas. The jug also has some pin holes that are normally seen on these jugs. Offered is this small vintage or antique beige and dark brown moonshine whiskey jug. The jug stands approx. 9 1/4" high. Is 5 1/2" across at the base and holds about 1/2 gallon. It is in very good condition. There is a small rough area on the top of the handle which is partially glazed over so apparently done while being made. There are numerous bumps and raised areas along the sides. Also glazed over. There are some small chips some stray dark brown glaze along the top rim. Vintage Moonshine Whiskey Jugs - Brown and Beige - Lot of 2 - 14 in and 1 ft
These were recently found in my late great-grandfather's old farmhouse. The big one is about 14 in. tall and about 8 in. in diameter. The smaller one is a little bigger than a gallon of milk and stands about a foot tall. As far as age. The old house has been abandoned for at least 30 years, so it's anyone's guess. There are no markings regarding manufacturer on either. Both have a glaze and are heavy, solid pieces. As seen in the photos, there are subtle random markings which, judging by similar items, seem to naturally occur during manufacturing. Neat find.

Here is a Vintage Stoneware Whiskey/ Water Jug with a Handle and Cork. It belonged to my in-laws and has been in storage for a long time. If the whole jug is filled it is 2 1/2 Gallons(it has a small corn cob in it that had been used where the cork is) It measures 14 1/2" Tall. 9 3/4" in Width. It weighs almost 10 lbs. empty. I don't know if this is what is considered saltware as there are no markings that I can find. It is in good condition. There are some chips and a very small crack(it only appears to be in the glazing and does not go all the way through, please see pics) I will ship it as cheap as possible and it will include insurance. This vintage or antique beige and dark brown stoneware liquor jug is marked"A. C. Brauer Wholesale Liquor Dealers 390 Jackson Ave. Jersey City. N. J. in black or very dark blue. The half gallon jug(it actually holds about 8 oz. more than that) sits approx. 8 1/2" high and is about 5 1/4" across at the bottom. It is in very good condition. There are a couple of very small chips in the dark brown glaze. A few small chips in the bottom near the edge(not visible unless turned over) and a light area in the beige glazing(see last photo) I think this is a fairly uncommon jug; at the time of listing I saw no others from this company for sale anywhere. Dug up vintage 1/2 gallon moon shine jug (all white)
They ask for all kinds of specifics and I don't know them. Because there is no writing on it as far as I can see. My best guess would be it was made between Baltimore.Md. and the boundaries of Georgia somewhere. I can't see inside it so I don't know what color the clay is. That gives no basis for a geographic location of production. But I do know it is a strong vessel for liquids and the handle would have made it easy to drink from.

This Is a great little piece with some character. It does have a chip at the rim but no where else. There are several flaws in the glaze that were created at the time of glazing. Some little pin size spots and a 1" line across the bottom. There are a couple runny scratches as well. You have to really look for then. Vintage Brown & Tan Glazed Top Whiskey Jug Crock W/ Cork Top 9 1/2" Tall
There are no markings on this jug. There is a chip on the bottom and on the neck. Near the handle, see photos. The fourth photo shows a closeup of the top rim which may appear as a chip, however, after close examination, this defect was made in the making of this jug. Stands 9 1/2" tall. The diameter is 5 1/2" across the bottom. There is crazing under the glaze on the bottom portion and a number of poc marks, very crudely made.

Two dug up vintage 1/2 gallon moonshine crock jugs
These are two crock jugs from right around the turn of the 20th century. One is all white the other is brown over white. These were dug up and not bought at a yard sale. So they at one time were filled with some kind of distilled liquid I would think. They have no identifying marks or stencils on them so they either had paper labels which I doubt. Or they were known to hold a certain substance and you knew what it was when you bought it.If you know what I mean. They have long since been missing their cor so what ever type of fragrant liquid was in them they have lost the scent of it. Although for all I know they could have just as easily bee used for musical instruments. The all white one is just a little lower in note. I told that so all you jug players knew what tone they have. Vintage 2 1/2 Qt. "Moonshine" Whiskey Jug-Stamped "A9"-Beige & Reddish-Brown
Offered is this vintage or antique glazed stoneware"moonshine" whiskey jug. The jug sits about 9 1/4" high and is approx. 5 1/2" in diameter across the bottom. I have measured its capacity and it will hold 2 1/2 quarts. Near the top is a stamped-in mark of"A9" but I have not been able to find out what it means(see last photo) The jug is in very good condition. With no chips or cracks. Vintage Little Brown And Ivory Stoneware Jug. 5 1/2.in Tall X 3 1/4 In Wide
This is another little jug I really don't know anything about. I bought it at a resale store or yard sale because I like it. We are selling many of our belongings due to retiring and wanting to move out of state to be near the grandkids. It is 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide. Top is brown and the bottom ivory. Up for auction is a really neat vintage one-half gallon shoulder jug with a seldom seen color combination. This jug has a medium brown color on the top portion of the jug and dark brown on the bottom section. I can't recall ever seeing this color combination. The jug stands approximately 8 1/2" tall and has a base diameter of just under 6" This is a super cool smaller vintage should jug that is in excellent condition and has no chips. VINTAGE PRIMITIVE POTTERY JUG BANK HAND PAINTED 4 1/2"
For auction is a small pottery jug/bank that looks to be very old. A bridge and foiliage is hand painted on the front of the jug. I picked this piece up at a flea market years ago and I don't really know much about it. There is no markings on the piece so the maker is unknown. The color is of a dark mahogany on the back of the piece it has a scratch only and may look like a crack in the picture. There are no cracks on the piece.
