Rare Antique Blanchard & Farrar stoneware ceramic jug 14 &15 Dock Square BOSTON
Hello. Up for auction is this recent beautiful East Coast yard sale find. This jug is from Blanchard& Farrar Co. out of Boston, MA. Blanchard& Farrar Co. were importers and wine merchants at 31 Faneuil Hall Square. Boston, MA. in the late 1800's and early 1900's. There are not many left out there from this particular time period and company in this condition. The jug has no cracks. And is really in wonderful condition. It was well made, and sits nice and flat. It does have a small chip on the top rim, I took a close up of it in the photos. Always refer to pics carefully. Most of the print is clearly visible, and the jug and handle are nice and solid. It is a little over 11" tall and has a 7" diameter. It weighs 6 lbs. Thank you! I expect payment within 4 days. Antique Rockingham Fox Hunt Blue and White Stoneware Ceramic Jug Pitcher Neat
Beautiful Blue& White Stoneware Jug This is a very attractive blue and white stoneware jug that resembles"The Fox Hunt" scenes. The handle of the jug is in the shape of a fox. One the front side is a man wearing a top hat and holding what looks like a whip in the darker blue on this side you can see dogs that appear to be running at the bottom. The back side appears to have men on horses as well as walking, the blue part at the bottom on this side appears to have a horn like piece as well as the head of fox. It also appears to be somewhat dated 1774-1934 however these numbers are a little hard to make out so they be different. The bottom of the piece is marked"Rockingham" this jug is very neat and different and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. I can not tell you the age of this jug. Nifty Mini Jug! Here is a very neat old slice of Americana. This truly a"Little Brown Jug" The small. Sturdy piece is about 3" diameter, 6" high, with a small handle& a 1/2" opening- probably holds around 10 oz. To give you an idea of its density, this small item weighs over a pound. It has a two-tone brown motif, with the dark brown limited to about the upper 1" of the jug. not quite to the shoulder. So far as I can tell, no maker markings, or writing whatsoever on this piece. It has a lovely crackle clear glazing. Small chip on lip of mouth& a couple small rough spots on glaze, else Fine condition Handsome Jug for the collector!

This is a very fine Western Stoneware 2 gallon crock jug. It is 12 inches tall and has a 8.75 inches diameter base. It is two-tone with a vivid brown top and a cream colored body. It has a big blue number 2 and a blue western stoneware maple leaf on the body. There appears to be only minor ware on the base. There are no visible chips on the handle or spout. There are some minor chips on the top edge of the body. The overall presentation is very nice with great luster. This would make a very nice display item.
