Joi Lansing(April 6. 1928– August 7, 1972) was an American model, film and television actress, as well as a nightclub singer. She was noted for her pin-up photos and minor roles in B-movies. A model and actress. Lansing was often cast in roles similar to those played by her contemporaries, Jayne Mansfield and Mamie Van Doren. She was frequently clad in skimpy costumes and bikinis that accentuated her attractive figure, but never posed nude. Lansing practiced yoga for relaxation. A Mormon, she did not drink or smoke. We don't use the term SCARCE very often. But we feel this one fits the bill. This pocket physician's syringe case contains the syringe, 5 vials of medicine and a needle holder for slot#6. The syringe screws into place so it will not be lost. After unscrewing. The spring-loaded top pops up and can be turned at a 90 degree right angle to remove the pill vials and needle holder. The unit is complete except for the needles. It is 3.75" long to the end of the syringe. It is marked MILITARY Patented May 22. 1900, The Randall Faichney Co. Boston, USA. SCARCE COLEMAN CANADIAN 220F LANTERN DATED 2-71
You are bidding on a Coleman model 220F lantern dated 2-71. Although common in the US. The Canadian version of the 220F is quite hard to find. It had a very short production run and looks quite different from the US version. The fount has no dents but there are some flecks of missing paint here and there. The globe is the original one with the red rising sun logo. The vent is pretty nice with one chip on the lower edge and another around the ball nut. Add this hard to find lantern to your collection. All I did was wipe the dust off of it. I have not tested this lantern in any way but I see no reason why it could not be made to work as intended. Remarkable and rare cast iron doorstop by Greenblatt Studio of Boston. Mass. This figural item is signed and dated on the back, bearing the words, COPYRIGHT/1927/A M GREENBLATT STUDIO/19. This is the first such example that we have seen in our decades in the antique trade. As such. We cannot determine whether the black paint is an original feature or if it was repainted by a previous owner. Scarce Original- French Cuirass Front& Back Plate SET- Dated 1857 This French 1850's Cuirass SET is fresh out of an old collection! I have not attempted to clean this set. It presents an overall aged patina. The front plate is dated 1857 and is arsenal marked below and inside. The back plate is complete with straps and leathers with tabs. The belly strap and buckle are intact. The back plate appears to have had four bullet hole repairs(one open) It was common for these plates to be re-worked at the arsenals for reuse during the 19th Century. The back plate appears to have had its date and arsenal markings ground away. There is slight pitting here and there. The set is approx. 18 inches tall. 15 inches wide and 12 inches thick at the wide point. Scarce Civil War USN Officers Cutlass With USN In Guard Mfg. Ames Dated 1862 complete with its original USN Cutlass Officers scabbard.These scabbards were like the standard cutlass model except for the gold gilted Star button at the end of the scabbards tip. When this sword was mfg. by the Ames co. the entire brass guard was gold finished over brass. If you look at my pictures you will see this gold finish is remaining in many areas of the swords guard and pommel with most of its factory gold finish worn away from its use around the oceans salt air.Blade is really nice and clearly marked on one side of the blade with the Ames mfg. logo and on the other side USN 1862 and also complete with its original blades leather washer. Fits scabbard perfectly with no shrinkage. Another nice thing about this sword is its complete with its original leather ... morewrap and all its original twisted brass wire. Its unsharpened 22 and 9/16 inch blade is marked crowned HD 1869 on one side and a square proof on the other side. Blade has some oxidation spots with minor pitting near the tip and has some dark patina spots. Cross guard is marked R over 2744. Cross guard has oxidation spots and brown patina. Brass handle has no cracks. Has dark patina, and has been cleaned. Pommel press-stud and leaf spring function well. One side reads simply"IN COMMEMORATION/ PANAMA-PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION/ SAN FRANCISCO" while the other has a lovely wreath with a cartouche below curing along the banner reading"1915" Above it reads"NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONS/ JUNE 23. and then the year a good 10mm below in the banner with the date placed creatively waving along with the banner. I believe this side identifies the recipient of the recognition although it isn't stated. The medal clearly was engraved not struck on this side so that the name and the Month& Day could be engraved reading the date below(struck) in sequence. The medal is massive. It weighs 260+ grams or nearly ... more9 troy ounces. It is 78mm in diameter and the thickness is a rather astounding 7.5mm. Another amazing item worthy of note about this medal is that despite its size and weight it shows absolutely no dings. Dents, hairlines or other handling problems or any from dropping, which puts it in a near unique class of its own for this reason. There are a few scattered tone/black marks consistent with bronze and copper medals of any size. An original quite scarce dated 1880 bi polar motor which measures approximately 7 3/4" tall by 7" wide by 5 3/4" deep. The motor aside from the 1893 patent date on one brush appears to be unmarked but is possibly by either Crocker& Wheeler or C&C Electric. The motor weights approximately 23 1/2 pounds and is in nice condition only in need of a bit of a good cleaning. Scarce London Sterling Shovel Spoon Dated July 1886 Mono LCD W/ Ornate Handle
Description This antique sterling spoon is a unique as it can be. And beautifully made, too. It measures 5 1/4" long and has a shovel shaped bowl which is engraved"London" on the front and on the back is"L.C.D. July, 1886. The handles has fabulous repousse pattern over both front and back. The handle crest has a shield monogram area which has never been engraved. Below it are hammered patterning, flowers, a lion face scrollwork and more flowers down to the bowl. On the back are flowers and leaves all the way down. The handle e is very thick and the patterns are very heavy and defined. The entire piece has a gold wash. The back of the bowl has five hallmarks(either full or partial)the leopard's head, the lion, the queen's head, and a date letter O which corresponds to 1889-90.
