A really cool coin. I have another that i'm giving to my daughter. This coin weighs 16.3 grams and has really nice patina. Fans of old money appreciate. The photos have a hard time capturing the patina. It's kind of between the lighter photos and the darker ones. It has a rather pleasing unevenness to it that gives it old world charm. The obverse shows a seated female figure. Likely symbolizing the Church or Virgin Mary, seated on a cloud holding a pair of keys in her right hand and a church/temple in her left. The reverse of the coin features the arms of flanked by olive sprays beneath the papal crown(tiara) and a pair of crossed keys. The edge of the coin says“PAX IN TERRA” meaning“peace on Earth. The coin measures 40mm in diameter and weighs 26.2 grams. It is in good condition with much of the detail retained despite its age. It has been placed in a plastic capsule to protect its condition.
