Condition: Used Location: Fort Worth, United States Charming old wardrobe trunk available to add to your collection of antiques! Since it is super heavy. Local Pickup only. What's so cool about this ... morewardrobe trunk is that it has features that so many of the other wardrobes you see don't have or they're missing! Also. It was restored approximately 20 years ago and is still in good condition. You may want to repaint or reline the trunk to make it your own, but you don't have to worry about a bunch of repairs because they were already done. For example, the metal trim was not brass and so it was painted. It could easily be repainted to suit your needs. As for the unique, original features, the trunk includes: a wooden ironing board, metal bracket for iron, a pull out holder for the ironing board, 6 wooden hangers- one of which holds a cloth laundry bag, a removeable wooden box(holds shoes.lap desk? and 4 drawers- among other features. It's missing the outside lock and original leather handle(handle was replaced with a strong leather buckled handle) The key to the inside lock, the narrow flat bar that slides in front of the drawers, and some material behind the drawers. Some of the material is faded. The hinges and drawer pulls are secure and in functional condition except one outside latch(this doesn't prevent the trunk from closing tightly. The metal rods that hold the hangers extend out to hold the ironing board and are easy to slide in/out. All the drawers are lined with material and are in good/clean condition. The top drawer is divided into three compartments and is in good condition. The two middle drawers are in good condition too. The bottom drawer is deep and has a shallow pull out tray which exposes a cool feature. The feature is a sphere shaped cloth form that straps to the side of the drawer with leather. The original leather is still in place and functional. But somewhat brittle. My guess is that a hat could be pinned to the form to keep it safe for travel. The trunk has multiple brittle stickers(less as time goes on) from Germany

Condition: Used Location: Morrisville, United States Nice Old Antique Trunk. I am not sure of the exact age. But the lock on it is from Eagle Lock Co. Eagle lock was in business from 1833-1954. So the age ... moreof the trunk lies in that time frame. It is adorned with black metal trim and ornate brass accents. This old trunk does show it's age in places. But there is nothing major. A few nicks, and there are a few dents or ding marks in the black metal trim. On the top front you will see there is 2 areas of chipped or worn off wood, a small amount enough to where wood putty filler should be an easy fix if you wish. There is also a very small chip place on the side you can see in pic 6. One of the hinges on the back is missing one button, see pic 9, and there is some separation on some of the brass corner pieces you can see in pic 12. I think I have mentioned every flaw. But please see all the pictures for the best description. For a trunk this old I consider its condition to be normal. Also, this would make a nice coffee table. the top is flat. Up for auction an antique vintage Norwegian I mmigrant T runk dated 1820. It came from a Norwegian farm settlement in the Madison. Wisconsin area. This is beautifully Rosemaled trunk from the very early period of Norwegian pioneering i mmigration to North America. Front and both sides are elaborated hand painted with floral motifs. T he lock is period to the time. As would be the nails and wooden pegs used. No key for the lock though. The trunk is solidly built with the hand forged metal plates reinforc ing sides and top. Inside is relatively clean- no major issues- wood work has stood test of times. A few scuff marks here and there. As would be normal for a trunk of this age. Also of interest is remnant of a label on one side that spells out'Milwaukee- Ontario Huron. R.R' believe the could be a railroad label from mid 1800s. This item is a vintage humpback steamer trunk. The outside of this trunk is a raised diamond shaped pattern on a silver tin background. It has new leather handles. This beautiful French Vellum Trunk. With its incredible character and elegance, sailed on the Queen Elizabeth from New York to an unknown destination. Measuring 35" long, 20 1/2" wide, and 13 1/2" deep, the exterior has the original solid wood banding and polished chrome latches and hardware. Engraved on the lock is the word"Surete" which is french for"security" Its edges are protected with original rawhide trim secured by silver nail heads. There is a wonderful original vintage tag from the Cunard Line and an old travel decal. Circa 1920's. This French Trunk is in good condition with minimal wear from age and use. Antique Vintage Small Child Size Travel Steamer Trunk w/ Tray & Key
A recent estate sale purchase. A small child's size travel/ steamer trunk complete with a tray and a key. This trunk measures approximately 22" long X 14" wide X 15 1/2" high and it has two hinges in back that hold the lid securely to the base. There used to be sturdy leather handles on each side of the trunk but they are no longer intact, these can be purchased inexpensively on-line and they're fairly easy to replace. The corner protectors and hardware appear to be brass plated steel. There are two hasp type closures, one on each side of the lock and the lock needs to be bent just a little to close it securely. We tried the key and the locking mechanism seems to work properly but we didn't want to damage anything so it will arrive open with the key tucked in an envelope safely inside. Up for bid is a gorgeous. Rustic vintage steamer trunk. I am not sure about the brand or label. I am not sure about the age either,but as I researched and compared it to the other listings, I believe it is from the 1940's or earlier. The leather straps are broken, and they are almost entirely gone, but the hinges and latches are still attached.There is no key. Some of the metals are also present, but rusted. There is no tray inside. It seems that it used to be covered with canvas, but it is faded and almost entirely gone. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful rustic piece that can be a coffee table in its present, original state or when its restored. Great for a steam punk style project. Rare Goyard Trunk Luggage Vintage Early 1900's
You are looking at a very interesting piece of history. Goyard is one of the oldest and most revered trunk builders in modern history. Dimensions- 27.5” Wide. 22” Tall, 18 ½” Deep Condition- As you see in the photos there are some damages to the exterior. In only a few places is it ripped through(the worst of the damages are shown in 2 photos) All in all. The exterior is in 80-85% condition considering its age. The hardware is in working order, locking tight. The side handle hardware is also functional. Inside there is no major damage. Stains or odors. Provenance- The top of the trunk is monogrammed with the name Thomas Powers. There is also a large P inside a red circle on the side.The trunk also boasts original stickers from The Ambassador Hotel in AtlanticCity I have been buying and selling Louis Vuitton and Goyard trunks for some ... moretime and I must say the shape of this on is what makes it very attractive. It looks a little ruff around the edges. There is some rust on the bottom and on the hinges. It has some writing on the lock. The bottom part says louisville, ky. It looks like there was some water damage. The leather handle may be broke. It has#867. It measures 28" long, 27 1/2" tall and 20 1/2" wide. The drawers are 6 1/4" deep, 26" long, and 18" wide. Cave& Sons Leather Trunk/ Suitcase The measurements are 34" wide x 20" x 13" deep The Name CMDC Costigan is printed on the top The white marks all around the outside appear to be paint rubbed off onto surface when tossed around during shipping or travel Not Really sure if this is an authentic antique or original piece. Cave& Sons started in 1839 and made quality trunks and have made reproduction Osilite trunks. But from all signs this appears to be original. Not Sure on age or date that it was made.
