Antique Bronze Fireplace Fender with Ornate Marble Urns (old)
Beautiful very ornate Victorian fireplace fender. This is a large and heavy piece the bronze was originaly had a gold tone finish. The piece has never been refinished and now has very warm patina. This is a large piece 72" by 19" overall. 64" by 13" inside. Uurn ends are almost 18" high. The urns are eye catching and made of layered marble. Two of the small round screw on medallions(shown in my hand) are missing from the back of the base under one of the Urns(not very noticeable) They could be reproduced from a mold of one of the other 14 originals. I have had this piece for 50 yrs. My guess on age is 80-100 yrs but it may be older. Shipping, I will coordinate shipping by U-Ship or I will disassemble at buryers option/risk for standard package type shipping.

Outstanding 19th century antique solid bronze Revolutionary War Hessian soldier fireplace andirons in excellent condition. Original patina with forged iron support legs. These measure 20" tall x 9" wide at the feet and weigh over 40 pounds. The bronze Soldiers are up to 2" thick at the widest point. Support legs are 18" long and have some expected and customary extremely light surface rust. One leg has an ever so slight twist from heat mentioned only for the sake of accuracy. We are pleased to offer this incredible. Very large. Pair of antique andirons. Dating to the early 1900s, this pair is crafted in the Arts and Crafts, Mission fashion and era. The pair have a nautical theme and feature a large, Spanish galleon or clipper ship as their focal point. This exceptional and exquisite pair are a combination of iron and bronze/brass. The top section of the andirions are iron and feature the large ship medallion inside the outer frame. A large, detailed leaf is the top finial. The center columns are a barley twist design in an enameled/oiled type finish. They are bronze or brass as a magnet will not adhere to this section. The legs and feet are thick, forged iron as are the long, attached firedogs. This is a very rare pair with wonderful design and character. They are in very good condition for their age. There is"200" and"254" stamped on two of the cast bronze pieces but there is no makers mark, so I can't say when or by whom they were made. They sure seem to have some age to them and they are in fantastic condition with a great aged patina throughout. This groups of pieces weighs nearly 10 lbs. and stands 32 1/4" tall. Up for sale is an antique decorative art nouveau brass or bronze pair of miniature fireplace andirons recently found at auction in the suburban Phialdelphia PA area. The brass or bronze front are heavily patinated and very stylish. They do not attract a magnet. The back of the andirons are made of iron and do attract a magnet. They could be cleaned or left in their present patinated state. The backings are loose but the original hardware is there so they could be tightened. They measure approx. 6 1/4" side by 8" tall and 15" long. The other condition issue is one of the tops is folded over more than the other and is a bit different. ca 1890 Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze Fireplace Fender High Style 19th C Antique
Outstanding late 19th or early 20th century high style art nouveau fireplace fender. The design displays a dramatic whiplash motif with three hearts. The overall form is fluid and rhythmic. Fender is cast bronze or copper with gilt surface. This is the finest art nouveau fender I have seen. The craftsmanship is superb. I can find no makers marks, if you have any ideas about who the designer or manufacturer is I would love to hear from you. There are a few missing screws on back and the flower on the left is missing the support/ brace on the backside. Neither of these are issues that effect use or presentation. This is a stunning antique 19th century large gold gilded bronze fireplace fender. it has beautiful ornate solid bronze stylized lion head feet on the corners. the fencing of the fender is extremely detailed with pierced cross-like design and very ornate. the bottom edge of the fender is a nicely ribbed bronze rail. there is also a rounded top rail that runs around the whole top edge. it has a wonderful patina from age and measures 42 3/4 inches long by 9 inches tall by 13 1/4 inches back to front. it is a very large fender and in good antique shape. It has a bronze metal look to it however I cannot state with certainty what type of metal this is. There is a Greek God on the front as well as small angels or cherubs present. The details throughout are stunning. This is a large item that measures 20" wide by 25 and 1/4" tall by 1/4" thick. It weighs 21 pounds. There is minimal wear present with no breaks, bends, or repairs present. There is a small knob on the bottom which I believe was to lift this item up like a door. If you look closely at my photos you may see some greenish colored corrosion which may help to identify the metal.
