Here is a great old Machine Age Industrial Machine Base. Has fancy scroll work in the cast iron. And has claw feet! Its in great condition, no breaks or cracks, never been repaired, no apologies for this great base. It has a great look! The legs have a twisted rope design, this is a very nice piece. Joints measure bottom about 4.75.Nest joint up from the bottom is 9.5 inches,nest joint up is 11 inches and the one that the light is attached to is about nine and a half inches(this includes the shroud) The bulb is fully encased and recessed in a metal shroud. Completely original and not a repro at all. Each"joint" is fully able to rotate and then to be locked down in position by a nut and bold. Up for auction we have a nice antique flag pole stand. This flag pole stand was Salvage out of a church before demolition. The base measurements are: the center hole is 1" in diameter. The overall height is 4.5" its about 10" wide. Weight 4.5 lbs. There no broken parts. However it is missing 1 wing nut. As seen in the picture. Alabaster and Marble Antique Table Lamp NO RESERVE Possible Steampunk
This is an Antique original lamp. It is solid weighing in at about 6 1/2 pounds. My wife thinks the white is Alabaster and the brown Marble. The base at it's widest is approximately 5 1/2" in diameter. The height is approximately 13" from the base to the base of the bulb holder; 15" from the base to the top of the bulb holder; and 23" from the base to the top of the loop. It is in very good condition for its age. I see no cracks in the stone. There appears to be a small chip which is hardly noticable on the base. Normal wear for age on the underside of the base. There are no markings to indicate when or where it came from. The white plug appears to be original. However, the plastic cord looks like it is a replacement and is about 56" long from the base to the plug. The top that holds the bulb may not be original ... moretoo, I am no expert. It has no lamp shade. But is a very nice piece. This is being sold AS-IS and NO RESERVE. The shipping weight is listed as 10 pounds because I do my best to ship so that the items sold arrive in the condition I describe and send them in. Any questions please feel free to ask. Antique Bridge Lamp Floor Lamp Vintage Cast Iron Industial/Art Deco/Steampunk
This is a classic bridge lamp floor lamp from the early 1900s. The lamp is made of cast iron. The lamp holds a single light with a push through switch. The lampshade is an old metal industrial shade which has been mounted behind the socket leading me to believe this had at one time been in a bank or office building. The lamp was rewired at some point probably 70's judging by plug. Black and gold finish does show some wear. The lamp is 54 inches tall. 8 inches wide at the base, and about 11inches wide to the tip of the lampshade. Perfect for any decor. Vintage industrial desk lamp. Features metal articulating arms. Cast iron joints, a vintage cast base, an aged brass lamp shade, and three antique cast iron valve handles. The shade, base and handles have a wonderful patina. Wiring is brand new reproduction brown twisted cloth cord and a new antique style plug. Everything works perfectly and safely. The brass socket and turn key have an oil-rubbed bronze finish. The base is a heavy cast iron. Three separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. The handles at all three joints make re-positioning easier. The valve handles can easily be switched to the opposite side if preferred. I can do that for the winning bidder if requested. Offered is a large. Very well-made, working desk/drafting lamp in good condition. The lamp has both a Mid-Century and Steampunk look about it, but I've been using it in my semi-Victorian living room and it fits in very nicely with that style too. The reason that I've said the lamp is in"good" condition vs. very good" condition is because the metal base and shade do have some rust. However, it really doesn't detract at all from the look of the lamp. If you prefer no signs of age, the rust can be removed easily with Marine Jelly or any number of inexpensive rust removers sold today. I left the lamp as is for the buyer to decide. Also, the rust is not nearly as pronounced as it appears in my images. This is a very handsome, strong, stable and versatile lamp! When fully extended to straight up and down. The lamp measures ... more33-inches tall. The base is 7-inches wide and the whole thing, unpacked, weighs about 6.5 lbs. Like I said, it's high quality! The base and shade are in a brushed silver or nickel finish. There is black felt on the underside of the base. The lamp's arms are wood in a red mahogany stain. They could very well be mahogany wood, but I am uncertain. Although the arm sections appear to be in two different shades of color in my photos, it is an illusion caused by the wood grain. The position of the lamp is adjusted by turning and setting the knobs. This lamp is fully adjustable and is perfect for reading. Sewing, drawing, doing crafts, working on projects, etc. It takes a standard 60 watt bulb. All electrical parts- the power cord, switch, socket and wiring- are in excellent condition. This is a very cool Flexo swing arm lamp from 1942 and is marked Art Specialty Company Chicago. Ill. The lamp works perfectly and bright with new Philips bulbs installed. It has the normal wear and tear scuffs and scratches but still looks great for it's age. Please note that one of the bottom rubber feet is missing but still sits down flat on a surface. This is a big lamp measuring 35 1/2" high x 18" long at the shade with a 9" x 9" base and weighs 18 lbs. This lamp is fully adjustable back and forth and up and down to suit your lighting needs. Chrome plated steel, aluminum and solid brass accents. Solid construction with machine screws and lock washers. New porcelain socket, new switch, new silver colored cord with polarized plug. Hand-fashioned Industrial/ Mechanical Steampunk Table Lamp- One of a kind!
I found the odds& ends that make up this unique lamp in a salvage warehouse. The bottom part is a solid steel bushing(very heavy! The main part of the lamp remains operable. Allowing you to change the overall height of the lamp by twisting the base. Take notice to the difference in the photos! These 2 pieces were joined together with JB weld from the bottom, inside of the bushing, so there are no visible seams or welds. There is also a washer that has been JB Welded into the top to support the socket. I used a hydrochloric acid solution to artificially age the washer and aluminum spacer that connect to the socket. The"Edision" bulb was a perfect finishing touch for this one of a kind steampunk lamp! The lamp stands 14" without the bulb at it's lowest point. 17.25" with the bulb. At it's tallest point, it is ... more17" without the bulb and 20.25" including the bulb. The bulb is included, and replacement bulbs are available online and at most home improvement stores. Offered for auction is this nice industrial articulating arm. Bench task lamp/light designed and fabricated by Woodward Machine Co. of Detroit, Michigan, circa 1940-45. The cast iron base is designed so that it be mounted on either a vertical or horizontal surface. The light is made from steel tubes, connected by cast iron joints that swivel and pivot, allowing the light to be adjusted to numerous positions. This light is in very good working condition. I'm not sure but I think the cord has been replaced and the bottom portion of the socket doesn't look original. There is a red stain on the cord, near the plug. The hood/shade is enameled steel black on the outside, white on the inside. There are some small chips and scratches and also a stain on the outside. Here is a great vintage Castle brand fully articulating examination light from a circa 1930 dentist chair setup. IT WORKS. You will want to rewire it. But the correct high-power bulb is there. The glass lens is perfect, and the internal parabolic light diffuser is fine. This has a brass vertical 24" riser that you can bolt to a wall, and then the arm swivels both at the top of the riser and at a hinge in the middle of the arm. This will swing out of the way, and then can be extended about 4 feet into the room. You can also get rid of the riser and rig this up with a base and have it be a standing floor light. The lamp head swivels on both axes so you can point it any way you want. Even up at the ceiling for an up light. Other than a rewire job, the only thing to note is that this had a handle you use to point the light beam. This is ... moremissing, but the hole has standard threads and I have placed a bolt in there so you can see how it works. It would be a small matter to rig up a replacement handle, or you can just paint the bolt and use that- the look is consistent. USA ONLY on this one. Vintage Adjustable Machine Industrial Age Steampunk Light Lamp OC White ERA(it is not marked) Great as a task. Work, bedside, desk, table or wall lamp. Can be mounted almost anywhere. This is a really neat vintage fixture in a great vintage green color. The shade measures about 7" diameter at its opening and 9" tall. The fixture measures about 32 1/2" length(measuring laying straight) It's articulating arm is bendable into many angles. This has been gently used and shows only a very little wear or patina. It has only a few light marks or tiny bits of missing paint. But really it is in amazing condition considering it is an vintage industrial work lamp. It is very clean and paint still has a nice satin green paint finish. Cord has a three prong plug. Switch is good. No dings or dents in shade. Base is ready to mount. A great ... morelamp. Vintage Antique Industrial Wall Desk Scissor Lamp Machine Age Steampunk Light
For your consideration is a scissor bracket wall and/or desk lamp made from the assemblage of vintage components. The signed lamp articulating bracket arm pivots on the wall base as well as having a vertical adjustment feature. The arm is approximately 20" long and has 20" of vertical rise. With the scissor mechanism the lamp has 58" of total reach including the shade. When extended to the farther limits of reach the scissor arm needs to be adjusted to keep it horizontal(see last photo for adjustment) The antique 9 3/4" diameter milk glass shade is in great condition with no cracks or chips. The vintage brass paddle switch socket is marked"BRYANT 250W 250V" and accepts a standard size bulb(bulb not included) The lamp has been rewired with 18 gauge cloth covered cord and an old fashioned two prong plug. this auction is for a Large 1930s deco vintage streamline futuristic aluminum Sodium Lab Arc lamp made by General Electric Vapor Lamp Company- last patent 2030397. This lamp runs on 115 volts. 60 Watts, 60 Cycles. This specific lamp was owned by the University of Illinois Geology Department and was possibly used to illuminate mineral specimens under high powered microscopes. The bullet/airplane/automobile styled aluminum body is in nice clean condition and the original bulb is present and there is a lens filter mount that may have held celluloid polarizing or color filters. the secondary braided cord is in nice condition but the main rubber cord is dry and cracked(I would recommend replacing it before operation– I do not test my electric antiques) The lamp housing is mounted to a double adjustable post and may be set in various positions ... morefrom very low to very high and swung out.
