Two very nice decorative wooden brackets or corbels. I'm not sure what they are or what they came off of or even how old they are. They look Victorian to me. But I am no expert. They would be pretty in the corners of a long doorway or bookcase, holding up shelves, or on a fireplace. They measure about a foot and half at the longest point. There are a few minor scuffs, and one piece is a little loose on top, but overall they are nice solid pieces. 2 Antique Architectural Salvage Wooden Porch Brackets Corbels for Porch Posts
For sale in this auction is a pair of porch brackets or porch corbels for decoration next to a porch post. These are off of a 100 year old house porch that was being torn down. They are made out of wood and most of the paint is gone. They measure approximately 14 inches long on the longest side and 12 inches long on the other side. They are approximately 3 1/4 inches wide on the back side. The tallest part of the decoration measures approximately five and half inches tall. They do have wear. Some cracking, lots of cobwebs and one corner has damage more than the rest. I tried to show that in the pictures. These two corbels up for sale this week are from the east coast and ended up in a suburb of Chicago. Hinsdale which is a quite prestigious area. I was told they were going to be used in a"painted lady" but the deal fell apart, and these folks needed no more corbels. They are huge measuring 28 by 19 and show great weathering.
