4 Antique Victorian Era Wood Corbels Farm House Shabby White Orig Square Nails We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! I love these wonderful corbels. There's so many things you can do with them- from using them on/in your house. To making them shelf brackets, to decorative accents. They are original late 1800s farmhouse corbels, and they are awesome. Made from solid ... morewood, it's a matching set of 4, all with layers and layers of old white paint- thick with it, and it's shabby worn, crackled and chipped of in many spots. I left the old square iron nails just as I found them- they are sticking out of the wood, so you have to be careful when you remove them. Each corbel measures 10 3/16" by 6 1/4" and the wood is a solid 1 3/4" thick. Each one weighs a little over 1 lb. All are in excellent solid and sturdy condition except one, that is missing the very tip of the end of its short side- see photo 12 where I'm showing you the chipped one on the right and a non-chipped one on the left. It's missing the very curly up piece on the top- it's shallow, so it's really hard to notice. When you look at the photos of all 4 corbels together- it's always the one on the far right- see how hard it is to notice? I'm sorry for the foggy pictures- it's so steamy here right now, my camer lens keeps fogging up! Please supersize and look at all- they are rustic in appearance due to their shabby chipp[y paint, and they all need a good cleaning- some have spots of a grey substance that feels like plaster to me- see

Large Antique Victorian Wood Corbels Late 1800's White Chippy Paint
Up for auction are theses 4 wonderful vintage corbels. They do have some damage where they were removed from the house that they were on, but in my opinion they are still in pretty good condition considering their age. They are painted white and the paint is loose and chipping off in spots. Take a look at the photos tried to get pictures of all the worst spots. These are good old corbels. A wonderful pair of matching antique wooden Victorian corbels. Or gingerbread as some call it. These were salvaged from New Bedford, Massachusetts. These have original paint and patina. They measure approximately 15 1/2" x 12" and are 2 1/4" thick. One has a little damage to the top. Which any carpenter or woodworker can round off, do the same to the other, and make them both match exactly. The other one has a bit of a chunk out of the bottom, near the side, which can easily be filled. See all photos. These are substantially weighty pieces- the real deal. Coming to you original. As is and unrestored. Can be used as is or stripped and re-used. They are fabulous!

Here are two gorgeous examples of Victorian wood trim in beautiful condition. I am no expert on antiques or architectural salvage. But I did a little research and hope I am using the right terminology. These have been at my parents' home for years if not decades. I grew up in an old house in the 1960s and they may have intended to put them on it, but never did, so they've been safely inside all this time. It's time someone put them to use as shelf brackets, book ends, decorative trim or whatever you can dream up! They measure 14" x 12" and are about 1" wide. Rare PAIR OF 2 salvaged fancy BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE OLD wooden corbels with swirls. Leaves, and barrel shapes and embellishments. Victorian feel, very old. AS shown in the photos, THIS PAIR IS 99.9% EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO MISSING PIECES! There are a few flakes of finish missing and sign of age in the finish. I have others like this also on auction on eBay. Same size, design,e tc. but the others have chips and pieces fallen off, where the glue has failed, but so far these 2 are still intact. I will wrap them very carefully, but it is possible something may come loose during transit but repairs can be made easily with wood glue if necessary. Size is approx. 4 inches by 3 inches.
