We are pleased to offer this VINTAGE pair of salvaged. Architectural columns. The pair were used indoors in a formal dining room and we salvaged during the home's remodel. The columns are about 30 to 40 years old. They are heavy, solid(not hollow) and feature a BEAUTIFUL MAHOGANY finish. They are Art Deco in style and are 8 sided(octagon shaped) They have a fabulous, Art Deco styled"Skyscraper" design which is featured on both the top and bottom caps. The caps are fixed and are not removable. The octagon pattern is raised at the point of attachment between the two sections(picture 3) The columns are in very good condition with no rot or broken/missing pieces. They do have some surface scuffs and scratches but these are fairly minor and can be sanded and refinished. The attachment screws are in place for you as well. These are ... morequite beautiful and are very nice columns. Each column(they are identical) measures as follows: The bottom sections are 57.5" tall. The top sections are 32.5" tall for a total height of 90" The stepped, skyscraper bases(top and bottom) are 6" in diameter with the columns measuring 5.25" in diameter on their interior. Playboy Palmolive Building Chicago Art Deco Bronze Column
Very stylized Bronze Art Deco Pilaster Column from the Palmolive Building in Chicago which was the former International Headquarters of the Playboy Club. Very very rare item in outstanding condition. Is a very nice example of Art Deco form. You be very hard pressed to know of another example in exsistance. This column is so nice it belongs in a museum somewhere. It measures 91 inches High X 11 inches Wide on the main body. the capital is 14"W X 12"H, the overall thickness is 2 inches. Will assist in shipping. Good Luck.

Two base(or top pieces) do have some rusting. posts are 101 inches tall(almost 8.5 feet) and they taper from 11 inches in diameter at one end to 9 at the other. Architectural Post Caps Art Deco 1900's
These are very old. I believe they must be post caps. But thats my guess. I bought them around 25 years ago and never did get my dream done. These must be made out of steel as a magnet will stick to them. As you can see, they are identical, except one of the tops does not have quite the point the other has. The outside measurement is- 7 3/8" and the inside where it would slide over a post is- 6 5/8" They stand 7 1/2" tall and weigh 30#s total.
