This is an amazing metal medallion plate from 1781 that came off of an old Swedish moro clock. Also found with it a paper with the English translation. This auction is for an original Swedish tall clock made in the Mora district of Sweden. Probably around 1850. The clock body is made of pine and has old white paint with gold trim. It stands 86 inches tall from the floor to the top of the bonnet. We have used the clock as a treasured decorative piece in our Scandinavian decor. but a move is pending and we need to downsize. The movement is not marked and appears to be home made and hand assembled. It is not working at this time and will need some service and adjustments to make it fully operational Here is what I know about the condition: Three heavy lead weights are needed to operate the movement and bells. Two are included. The weights are connected to the movement by rope and small pulleys. One of the pulleys is missing. The ropes are broken.
