Antique Thomas Hughes White Ironstone Chamber Pot / Commode
This antique white ironstone chamber pot/commode from Thomas Hughes England has seen a lot of use. From the mid-1800's. The pot is plain with the exception of the handle's thumb rest and where it attaches to the pot. Minimal manufacturing specks and spots common to the time. There is a crack in the pot to the left side of the handle as can be seen in the fourth photo. Measures approximately 8.5" X 5.5"

Vintage Ceramic Ironstone Chamber Pot or Planter with Scalloped Desig n- Not Marked( flowers not included! Pre-owned vintage chamber pot(could be used as a planter too) found at an estate sale in good used condition. This weighty piece(over 3 1/2 lbs. is ceramic. I believe it would be considered ironstone. The creamy off white glossy finish shows crazing. One of the crazing veins has discoloration and appears in the pi cs as if it is a crack- it is not a crack. There is an area on the rim where the finish is a little bumpy and discolored(see pics) There are no cracks but there are some fleabites. About 3 of them that I see(see pics) There is a very light stain or finish discoloration on the inside side. see pic) There is a nice raised scalloped decoration all around the piece. This auction is for a Very Rare and Old White Ironstone Covered Chamber Pot made by E. Corn of Burslem. England in the mid to late 1800s. It is in the company's Striking Lily Shape pattern. Which is a molded or raised floral and leaf Lily design on the body and lid. The lid also has a Bud handle. The piece is in good condition. Especially for its age. It has a small chip on the edge of the lid(last photo) and fine, even crazing as is expected from white ironstone of this era. There is very faint toning in spots on the inside bottom you can not see it from the outside and it doesn't detract from the overall appeal of this Great Find. Pieces in this pattern are Incredibly hard to find. The bottom has an impressed mark that reads"W. Granite Lily Shape E. Corn Burslem. It is true vintage and in excellent condition overall with no chips or cracks- there is fine crazing all over but the shiny glaze on the pot and lid is still very nice. This chamber pot retains its original lid. The lid and single pot handle are enhanced by a leaf and vine motif molded into the pot. Very Old Warranted Ironstone Chamber Pot White With Coat of Arms Mark on Bottom
This is an original"Warranted Ironstone China" chamber pot. It is marked as such in black underthe glaze along with a Crest that consists of a shield(that looks Amercian) with stripes on the lower half of the shield and stars on the top part of the shield. Then the shield has two heraldic lions standing on the side of the shield on either side. There is some design above the shield but I can't make out what it is and a banner below the feet of the lions. It is white ironstone with a design molded in the outside sides and a flat top rim with a handle that has a curcly coming off the top of it as a thumb rest. It measures 5 1/4" tall at the sides by 9" in diameter from outside top rim to outside top rim. The rim is 3/4" wide all the way around. It has two small chips in the unglazed foot but these could have been ... moredone at the factory they are small and insignifigant. There is some overall crazing. Please see photos. The interior bottom and underside bottom crazing is dicolored but the crazing on the rim and elsewhere is not discolored but visible. Primitive Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot With Lid Tomkinson England The pickens were slim this weekend as far as auctions and estate sales. So I went to a favorite antique mall that always has an awesome February sale. Picked up lots of antiques and unique items to list! I also continue to list new items from the farm estate auction, with lookouts more new hardware pieces over the next several weeks. I am also going to one of my favorite flea market shows this weekend, so wish me luck! There’s something for everyone! Ya gotta love antique ironstone- and this beauty comes with its hard to find lid. Too! What I have is a white ironstone chamber pot- marked on the bottom with the double lion crest, Royal Patent Ironstone, and Tomkinson Bro& Co. this English piece will accent your collection or decoration beautifully. The base of the ... morepot measures 10 3/8" wide handle to end, 8 7/8" diameter at the top, and stands 5 3/4" tall. With the lid on, it measures 8" tall to the top of the handle. The pot is in excellent structrual condition, with some minor damage from wear and age(and I'm afraid to say.use! There's a very thin and hard to see hairline crack that runs from the top down 3 1/2" You can see it from the inside too- although only 2" of it on the inside. I'm showing you the outside view in photo 9, and the inside view in photo 18. The pot shows crazing all over, and some darkening due to the crazing toward the bottom of the pot, and some light carmel colored spots on the side, but no other issues, chips or cracks on the body. Turn it over, and you can see a couple of teenie nicks on the very rim of the bottom where it sits on the table/floor- so it has to be upside down to see and they may be original- see photos 19-23. If you look at photos 12-15, you will see that the underside of the lid has two very small shallow chips(photo 13 has a third that is more of a small scrape) One is on the inside rim, it's 1/8" and it's the largest. I NEVER use the chamber pots for food service! But they are great to hold small potted plants and for other purposes. Some of them are just so beautiful! White Ironstone Kansas Shape Chamber Pot with Lid - J&G Meakin - 1800's
Offered is a beautiful White Ironstone Chamber Pot with lid in the Kansas Shape. This shape features vertical convex ribs with embossed large leaves around the handle and on the lid. As well as a large nut finial. This piece was produced by J&G Meakin in Hanley, England circa the mid to late 1800's, and retains their impressed mark indicating J&G Meakin- Pearlware. This Chamber Pot is is in very nice overall condition. The base is excellent with no chips or cracks. And only some light age coloring on the interior. The lid has a chip on the outer rim and a flake on the underside rim, as well as some light crazing. Gorgeous. Feminine, beautifully embossed, this antique chamber pot is perfect. Exquisite lines throughout the entire piece. From the delicately fancy cover to the matching lid and bowl handles to the beautiful embossing. This one had to belong in a very fine old home, indeed. No Chips or cracks. Especially for its age, which dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. There are no chips or cracks or stains or crazing or repairs in the bowl or the lid. The glaze is clear and white is white. There is a very minor grayish/silver"scuff" or lines in the top of the lid(last photo) It doesn't detract from the overall appeal of this Great Find. I am not certain of the pattern but the lid has a neatly scalloped edge. The piece measures 7 1/2 inches tall. With the lid, and 10 1/2 inches wide, including the handle. It has the Johnson Bros. Antique white chamber pot made in the late 1800's Very nice condition for its age! Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle extends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This ... moreis not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. For your bidding consideration: A great Antique Victorian Heavy White Ironstone Chamber Pot with Rose Design This chamber pot is in very good antique condition. With no apparent chips or cracks. It has some slight staining inside and a few small spots on the outside, as well as some scuffing wear to the bottom, where it has been set on a surface. Otherwise excellent. This pot is a pure white. Adorned on the front and back with a design of roses, rosebuds and leaves in blue, very pretty. There is also a raised filigree pattern all around the top rim and around the base, as well as beautiful detailing on the handle. These old pots make wonderful decorative pieces now. They make great planters. Or are especially nice for showing off dried blooms such as hydrangeas, or any dried flowers of your choice. Description: This heavy and simply decorated white granite ironstone chamber pot or night jar was produced around the turn of the century by Crown Potteries of Evansville. Indiana. The piece bears the early mark of the pottery when its main production was white ware and before it became more focused on china. This piece comes with a lid which allowed it to double as a night, or slop, jar and made it easier to transport outside. This is a great, original piece of Midwest pottery and a piece of Indiana's history. Condition: No chips or cracks(spot you see on the front just under the lid is a production flaw- not ... morea chip) Overall typical crazing but only a couple light spots of discoloration on the lid and some shelf or floor wear on the bottom. This is a great Antique Johnson Brothers Royal Ironstone White Embossed Chamber Pot with Lid. It's 8 3/4" across the top. 5 1/8" high and 8" high to the top of the finial when the lid is on. The pot and lid are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The pot is free of any crazing but the lid has overall crazing and 2-3/16" yellow spots. I have other great items listed.
