Up for auction is a Vintage Antique ENAMELWARE CHILD'S CHAMBER POT ~ ~ Circa 1930s-40s ~ Maker mark appears to be"AM or MA" the outside is a robbins egg blue with a black stripe around the rim and inside is off white. There is a small chip inside the size of a pinhead. See pictures. This pot is in beautiful condition. ~ This potty was probably used in a wooden potty chair. Vintage Chamber Pot Enamel on Steel White w/ Red Trim and Lid Black Wood Handle
Vintage porcelain enamel on steel chamber pot. The base has gently curving sides in white with a line of red trim around the top rim. It's large enough and sturdy enough to sit on(of course) The lid fits well and is solid fire engine red. There is a wire handle on the base that has a rotating. Black wooden handle. It stands about 9 1/2" tall, is 10" wide and weighs just under 3 pounds. It came from an estate sale and it's not marked for manufacturer or age. It's clean and in good condition. There are two chips in the enamel on the bottom edge, four small rust spots inside and a few light marks from age.

WS George Chamber Pot standing 8" high to finial tip. 10" across main bowl. 12" wide with handle measurment. It is Queen with gold trim. On lid you can see some gold that smudged during firing. That is the only flaw. it has no chips or cracks. There is a 1" firing line scratch inside that is not a crack. This is the prettiest antique chamber pot I've ever seen. I believe it's hand painted in art deco style. So I would say that it dates from sometime between 1928 and 1935. My guess is that it's either English or American, although the only mark on the base is a hand written E 3037(see last pic) It is trimmed in black and both sides are decorated with a fall of pink, yellow, and green flowers near the top edge and an alley of cedar trees to the lower side of that. If you don't need a beautiful ... morechamber pot, it would make a lovely planter or flower pot or center piece for cut flowers or fruit. It measures approximately 8 3/8" in diameter(9 3/4" including the handle) x 5" deep. This piece is in generally excellent condition. The only thing I can find to report is a couple of white spots that didn't get painted. See close up in third pic- the white at the top under the rim(the other white spots were caused by the camera's flash) PLEASE do examine the pictures carefully since they are an essential part of the listing- and I tried to take pics from all angles- but note that the bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! Up for sale is an Antique White Ironstone HUGE Chamber Pot or Cooking Pot. I'm not quite sure what the general use of this was. It could have been used as a chamber pot purpose, cooking or even just to hold water. It is enormous, the largest of its kind I have ever seen. It also comes with the rare lid! It is approx. 12 in tall by 13 in wide with the handles. It is marked with a stamp and Semi Vitreous on the bottom. But I cannot make out the maker. It is in fair to good condition. Considering its age. There is a large crack with some webbing of the cracks on the inside bottom. There is also another 3.5 in crack on the one side. It has leaf and scroll designs around the handles on the lid and the pot. It is marked D&D on the bottom of the pot. The measurements are 8 1/2" wide at the mouth of the pot and 5" tall without lid. It measures 8" tall with the lid. To the handle and the lid is 9 1/4" wide. The pot and lid are in excellent vintage condition. With no cracks or crazing. This is a VERY high quality antique late 1700's to early 1800's MELLOR ETRURIA Chamber Pot commode with Lid and inset dish. It is obvious this was created for the very wealthy as it is hand painted in hues of soft teal blue floral pattern and trimmed in gold gilding gilt. The attention to detail and repousse decoration embossed all along the body and lid! The more lavishly decorated chamber pots with this type of decoration can be found in museums. There is an additional piece. A smaller bowl that sits perfectly inside the large chamber pot but may be a spittoon or hair receiver or perhaps even an easy lift out insert for the chamber pot. CHAMBER POT Large Unmarked Antique Floral Daisy Design w/Gold Trim PLANTER
Up for auction is a great piece of American history. This Chamber pot was made in the early 1900's and is unmarked on bottom but authentic. The floral designs on front are totaly intact and not faded. The back looks partially removed but hard to tell. Colors are green. Blue, dark orange, and white. Lots of the gold edging is still there with a few worn areas. This large pot measures 9.5" center diameter and 6" in height. The total with handle is 11.5" I have felt around the whole piece and feel nothing but some manufacturing pits. There is some surface crazing which I have taken pictures of. It is not deep, just on the surface. This pot weighs alot so I am shipping priority flat rate. Chamber pots were used as far back as the 6th century BC. Dark blue, orange, and cream flowers and berries. The embossed leaves are finely trimmed with gold. There's 3 different designs of flowers(sizes) all shown in photos. Slipped under the bed. Or placed in a Victorian potty chair. Makes a really fun planter, or conversation piece today. Influenced by the Art Nouveau period. It has a pumpkin body, ornate scroll handle, decorative light red/dark pink transferware, with touches of gold sprayed around the rim, painted around the scalloped body. You can tell it was hand decorated. As some of the gold is thicker in some areas(making it look dark in spots: see the photo with handle on the left) Plenty of manufacturing flaws, spots and misglazing, typical of ceramics of the era. Otherwise we find no chips or cracks. From an American pottery company: The Goodwin Pottery Co. was founded in 1844 by John Goodwin. In East Liverpool Ohio.
