Slight underglaze darkening but glaze beautiful. gorgeous loop hangle with thumbrest. Lid immaculate. Hinge immaculate. Original gold lines on rails bordering collar almost completely cleaned off but an easy restoration. Magnificent the way it is. There seems to be the slightest rub of the lid on the backside shoulder edge and a nick. Perhaps but otherwise, near museum quality to me. The glaze on the top edge of the tankard looks poured on. Image 12 shows the depth of the glaze and crackling depth. Polychromic Hand colored transfer of a stylized water bird resembling a Great Blue Heron wading in flowered wetlands decorating each side of syrup body has great color and is in beautiful condition. Interesting thumb lever appears to be styled or formed as the back of a book and is serrated in a chevron on the thumb side for a sure grip while pouring. Stands 6 1/2" to the top edge of the slim tankard. And 8" to the finial on beautiful conical lid. Handsome slim tankard form with beautiful classic loop handle with great thumbrest. You will not find many of these around in this condition. Stamped"BENNETT'S/ JAN 23. 1873/ PATENT" I would be interested in the patented feature or innovation represented by that patent. Magnificent slim tapering form. Great loop handle, outstanding lid and outstanding condition make this one you will REALLY LIKE. We cleaned the exterior. Inside is very clean. ANTIQUE FLOW BLUE CHAMBER POT 1890'S FULLY MARKED PURCHASED IN ENGLAND IN 1968
Up for auction is an antique chamber pot in flow blue made in the 1890's. It was purchased by me in London in an antique store in 1968. The original price tag is still with the pot. I didn't know at the time what I was buying and thought it was some kind of vase. In my travels in England later on I discovered its nature because I stayed in some hotels that had chamber pots under the beds. It was used as a vase for many years. The dimensions are: circumference at the lip; 8.5 inches; circumference at the lower bulge; 9.25 inches; height; 5.5 inches. It is in excellent condition having only small ding on the underside of the bulge. About 3 mm long. It was originally gilded, but most of the gilding has been worn off. Antique Staffordshire blue & white transfer ware octagonal chamber pot 1840-1860
This chamberpot is"cold white" and blue. With no markings except a small impressed"O" on the bottom. It is 9 inches wide. Not including the handle, and 6 inches tall. It's quite heavy. The transfer ware pictures are the same on both sides; and there's a chip under the lip of one side(1.75" x a little more than one half inch) As shown in the photo, and a very tiny chip at the top of the handle. The pot was used to hold plants. So the inside is somewhat dirt stained, but I imagine bleach would fix it. The pot was evaluated by a professional. Who wrote the following: This is an old English chamber pot made in Staffordshire. Possibly by a company named Ashworth that was taken over by another one called Masons Iron stone China. The transfer ware design is a give away clue. Made at the height of the British Raj ... moreit depicts what people in England imagined what life in the colonies in the Far East was like. The temple. India–Burma- Malaya anywhere. The tree and forest is an exotic style, the dress early Victorian, the shape.octagonal and scalloped. that delicate inward curve and that motif around the bottom and the shape of the handle. The date is around 1840/60 period so it has age. Possibly ironstone china.

Gorgeous Flow Blue Antique Irine Brownhills Pottery Salt Bros Chamber Pot #533
I could find no damge. See image for manufactures marks. Approx. 8.75" diameter and 11" to the handle and 5.25" high. Age is somewhere between 1874 to 1896. Brownhills. Between Longport& Tunstall. Brownhills: The packhorse lanes through Brownhills: One of the main pack-horse roads, which left Hanley by Woodisun(Marsh Street) Brook Street(off Marsh Street North) connected with the lane from Newcastle and wound through Cobridge and the lower end of Hot Lane, Burslem, where it branched; one route going approximately via the present Nile Street, Burslem, and the other, a narrow lane behind, and to the west of what is now Waterloo Road, but which was then a portion of the adjacent fields. Passing Cross Hill and in front of the church yard, it ran by Bournes Bank, a steep incline, to Swan Square. From here the road probably traversed ... morethe slope by way of St. John's Square, or through the Market Square, on to Hill Top. From thence it went down the narrow steep passage of the Back Sytch, past the Sytch Water Mill on the Brownhills Hall estate and past the hall, where it would join the road from Newcastle and Longport, into Tunstall and the north. From Burslem, the Mother Town of the Potteries, an important pack-horse road ran from the Market Square, as already mentioned, via Pack-Horse Lane, winding by St. Paul's Church, Dalehall, via Trubshaw Cross, fording the stream at Longbridge(Longport) by the present road past a group of houses called Longbridge Hayes. From thence it went round the Bradwell side of what is now Longport Station and up the hill, now traversed by the road(made about 1875) and so on to Wolstanton and Newcastle. This is a beautiful old porcelain chamber pot found in Sweden. It is very unique and heavy with a beautiful blue flower design. The colors and shape of the handles are reminiscent of the Gustavian period in Sweden. It is unmarked. In excellent condition, would look beautiful in any part of the house. We estimate it's age to be mid-late 1800's. Measures 6" high by 12" across from handle by 9 1/2" in diameter at the top by 6" in diameter at the base. There are no chips, just one area where the white is worn away, shown in photo#4. A rare find.

Flow Blue/Gold Accent Antique Chamber Pot - Priced To Sell
This Wood& Son chamber pot is in remarkable condition given its age. Mfg'd in England circa 1890 this item is a vintage example of flow blue craftsmanship. The bas relief Trilby pattern is further enhanced by the deep cobalt of the flow blue design and brightly accented by the GOLD decoration. There is no discernable cracking or crazing and the finish and the glaze is bright and shiney. The gold accent around the lip of the pot is a little worn but thats to be expected with something 150 ish years old. This is a gorgeous piece of antique pottery! Antique Victoria Ware Ironstone Flow Blue Twisted Serpent Handled Chamber Pot
This auction is for an estate find of a older Flow Blue Chamber Pot made by Victoria Ware. It is in Great Condition! I can find no problems at all. I am no expert but I believe this is what is called Flow Blue. The background is not a white but rather maybe a very light blue. The handle is a twisted serpent look. see photos) The approx. size is 9' in diameter not counting the handle and it is approx. 5 1/2" high. There is no lid but I do not know if there was one originally. There are no cracks. Chips, or flea bites. Very clean. Thank you for looking and sorry I only ship within the USA. Antique Blue & White Chamber Pot Ridgways England Semi Porcelain Ceramic
For your consideration is this really lovely blue and white ceramic chamber pot. It is English in origin and the makers mark on the bottom reads. Ridgways England Semi Porcelain" and I think under that is reads" Dog. Rose" The pot measures about 6" high and about 9" in diameter. It has a raised pattern on the white background underneath the blue flowers. Some of the blue flower design spills over into the top of the lip onto the inside. It is in excellent age appropriate condition. There are no chips. Cracks or nicks. There is an unglazed spot which was a flaw in the making underneath the lip.
