They are in great condition. All drawers slide smoothly and the slides inside each drawer operate smoothly also. They can be stacked on top of each other and lock in place with built in metal tabs. Each cabinet has 2 drawers and measures 16" x 12" x 5 1/8" Holds 5" x 3.5" cards in the drawers. Please note that the item that is in the pictures is the exact item that you will receive. There are 3 glass panes to each of the 3 doors and they are all set individually. And are 2/3rds the length of the doors, with a blind panel at the base. There are 3 fully adjustable timber shelves to the interior and the base making a fourth self. Huge Storage! The door combination opens as a pair of doors and a single door. Additional shelves could be made to fit. The keys are original and the up and down mechanism is still in working order. The Bookcase/Display Cabinet features a strong plain shape and the whole terminates on short legs with brass decoration at the bottom. The finish is a good mid brown colour. Structurally the Bookcase is sound. However several points to note are the warping to the central door, thus preventing the door to close properly, although it does not swing open. The other thing is the finish, which has crazed, giving it an aged skin like appearance and part of the backboard has been replaced. It stands on small legs, finished with brass decoration. There are 3 fully adjustable timber shelves to the interior with the base making a fourth shelf. Additional shelving could be made to fit. The keys appear to be original and thelocking mechanism is still in working order. Structurally the bookcase is very sound. However there are a couple of condition issues to mention. Of greatest significance is some slight warping of the central door, which has resulted in a little misalignment affecting complete closure.
