The paper Havana Cigar'sticker' is slightly bubbled, but minor, worth noting. Measures 14x12 inches. Item is marked on back by the actual maker of the plaque itself. The poker chip I believe is clay. An early ... more1900's piece. Has what looks to be a monkey, dog and a cat and says"Stop Monkeying" on it. The coin is silver. Dated 1908. As best as I can tell it is a Barber Dime.but I am not positive on that. Offered is this lovely Art Nouveau glove box with a burnt wood design of a curly-haired woman framed by holly leaves and berries. Suggesting a holiday theme. The inside of the box is lined with sky-blue felt. It closes with a metal clasp on the front that still functions as intended. The lid is attached to the box with two small hinges. The wooden box is marked with a brand on the bottom that says Special G. This piece probably dates to the late 1800s. The top edges of the lid are beveled. The box measures 10 inches long. 4 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. In metric, the box measures 25.5 cm long, 10 cm wide and 6.4 cm high. The box is in very good condition for its years. For your consideration today is a vintage Flemish Art Company box decorated with a large Rose and rosebuds. This box is worked on all sides with ornate background that highlights the rose. Buds and greenery. The box is lined on the inside with ivory colored paper. The lid is attached with sturdy original hinges and a clasp on the front that works very well. Box is 6-1/4 by 5-3/4 inches and is about 2-1/2 inches deep. As you can see from the pics, there is a crack that runs through the bottom of the box- this does not take away from the lovely design of this piece. Antique Flemish Art Box (?) Pyrography. Bass Wood Box, decorated inside and out
Highly ornamented box is covered inside and out with Pyrograph.Except for the outside bottom) Of all the other similar boxes i have seen none were decorated on the inside. Box was marked on the bottom but it has faded over the years and the only thing that i can make out is the words Bass Wood. From the hinges and the latch(which are in very good shape) it appears to be a Flemish Art Box. But that cannot be verified. box is 5 3/4" by about 6 1/2" by a little over 2 1/2" deep. it is in very nice condition. no chips or gouges. a few of the corners are worn and color has worn off. in one short spot. the front corner of the lid does not match perfectly with the wood below it(you can notice it slightly in the main picture) it is a very unique piece.

Here is a stunning fully carved LONG wooden box by the Flemish Art co. Marked) The beautiful art nouveau design is on the top. sides and back. And borders. The original divided interior has carved details on the rim, and original green velvet lining. This vintage item would be wonderful as a table center display or bureau statement piece! The box is missing one hinge, could be an easy repair see photo. I did not usually have the box open, just for display. I never used the inside and it would be difficult to keep propped open without the hinge. This vintage or antique item was used. It is in good vintage condition consisten with age- see photos. ANTIQUE FLEMISH ART PYROGRAPHY WOOD BOX NO. 952 ART NOUVEAU
This vintage large wood dresser box. Circa 1915, was produced by the Flemish Art Company of Brooklyn, New York. It measures 11" long by 9" wide and 4 1/2" in depth. Bottom of box bears a hallmark with two bears flanking a shield and reads: Flemish Art. Co. Flemish Quality 952 Standard, New York. Box is in overall good antique condition, with minor surface wear and wonderful natural patina. It is well made with dovetailed corners, beveled edges and brass hinges& clasp. There are no cracks or chipped wood. It is solidly constructed but requires minor restoration as it is missing several hinge brads, its padded lining, and part of the front latch. Pyrography(or wood burning) Often referred to as Flemish Art, was a popular decorative style common in the early 1900's. It is frequently associated with the Arts and Crafts ... moremovement because of its simplicity and artistic qualities. Flemish Art Co. became one of the most popular producers of this type of hand crafted folk art boxes. This particular box is entirely decorated using pyrography with large poppy flower motif that covers the lid and three sides with the letter“M” burned into the center of the lid. With just a little restoration to the hinges and finish it would be a gorgeous Art Nouveau dresser box that could be used for hankies. Trinkets, or jewelry.
