This is a gorgeous signed vintage(c.1970's) art glass sculpture by Livio Seguso. This mother and child is sculpted in clear crystal and measures approx 13" tall x 6" wide x 5" deep. These are approximate measurements because of the nature of the flowing sculpture. The square base is approx 3 1/4" Underside is etched signed by the artist. Antique Ornate Brass Frame with Colorful Print of Mother and Child
A beautiful. Antique, brass, reticulated frame with lovely print of mother and child under glass. The frame. 15" wide by 13" high, is a wonderful piece of late Victoriana.the frame has brass mounts in all the corners holding in the glass, as well as larger outside decorative corners with foliate design. I've not seen this particular brass work in my 42 years of antique endeavors and sense that it was in the same genre with the bubble glass frames that are sometimes very ornate that were made around the turn of the century and into the 1920's. The corner mounts are a thin brass and sweep away from the frame as if it has wings.I've attempted, with the 5th photo, to give an idea of how it would look laying flat. The print is from a famous 19th Century artist whose name escapes me. It's a piece that will make a statement ... morein the right setting and the glass is easily removeable if another print or painting was desired.the original back is on the frame. Here we have a wonderful porcelain lithophane. This has a wonderful picture of mary and baby Jesus on 2 sides and the candle on a heart with the roses under it on the other 2 sides. This lithophane is lit by 3 leds that are battery operated. This is a great idea because the heat from the candles can crack the shade. Here there is no heat from the leds so you don't have to worry about that. This is in great shape and looks beautiful lit up. It is free from any chips or cracks. It is run by 3 AA batteries. It's 6.25" tall and 3" at its widest. The gray stone has little white spots of white discoloration from scratches and dings. Apart from the surface wear it is in good condition with no chips. Breaks or repairs. Please note that my shipping time is up to 5 business days as I have multiple jobs and can only ship one day a week.
