Vintage Worcester Mass Cornet Very Nice Engraving on Bell (Gold and Silver)
For auction is a vintage Walberg& Auge Cornet. Manufactured in Worcester. MA. Cornet has silver and gold plating. Very nice intricate engraving on the bell which is accented with the gold plating. Really nice! This is a Bb cornet and comes with original case and key. I have seen one other cornet of this make. So I expect it is really a rare horn. No dents. See pictures. Valves are quick and have some wear as expected. Still plays well enough. No stuck slides. all move as they should. Other instrument makers in Worcester at the time this was manufactured were Fisk, Leland and the famous Conn Brass instrument factories. Very nice collectable. Please ask questions if you have any. This is a very nice antique medicine or cure/ whiskey bottle. Embossed on the front"C. A. RICHARDS& Co 99 WASHINGTON ST BOSTON MASS. This is a nice red amber color. Bottle would be great for anyones collection. It was made circa 1870. It measures 9.5" tall x 2.75" across. It is in excellent clean condition with no areas of concern. Has a very very tiny thin bubble burst on the neck above the embossong, as well as a tiny one on the left panel and mentioning to be as accuratae as I can, does not at all detract from this bottle whatsoever and very common in these bottles. The only markings on this reel are the British pound symbol and the words"TRADE MARK" on the side plate and"150" stamped on the bottom of reel foot. After researching the reel. I learned that the maker was H.A. Whittemore Co. Boston, Mass. It is in good condition for it's age, with just some surface oxidation, mainly on the spool(see picture) It needs a good cleaning. Mechanically, it is also in good condition, with strong clicker. US bidders only please.

And I think that's what this is. Stamp on bottom states"Made by F.B.R. Taunton Mass. with the number 1196, alongside two tiny logos: a cross and a lion. Also, the date 1933 is scratched onto the stamp. There is considerable tarnish and scratches, and a few small dents. Still, a stylish and beautiful item.

C1823 New England Antique Needlework Sampler Jane Church Age 10 Ashfield Mass
This is a C1823 New England Antique Needlework Sampler by Jane Church Age 10. On the Family Search website. There is a Jane Church that was born about 1813 in Ashfield Massachusetts. I purchased this sampler locally here in Franklin County in Western Massachusetts and Ashfield is also located in Franklin County. So I feel confident that this sampler may have belonged to her and is definitelylocal to me. Since she identified her age, this sampler probably was done about 1823. The sampler is in excellent condition and was stored very carefully out of the light and was never framed. It measures 8 1/2" x 8" and includes upper and lower case alphabet done in silks along with a cartouche with her name and age. On each side of the cartouche are a stylized bird, florals and what appears to be two dogs. The sampler is in pristine condition ... moredone in hand spun and handwoven linen and silk thread with only a tiny tan spot just below the lower case f. The naturally dyed silk colors are still strong and include white, pink, light green olive green, and black. There is no damage. Three of the edges were hemstitched and the fourth(bottom) is selvage. Apparently it was just folded in a drawer all these years. Also according to Family Search, Jane Church died about 1880. There is no date. Circa 1810 North Shore Federal Mahogany Tall Case Clock made by David Wood Newburyport. Massachusetts Circa 1810 North Shore Federal Mahogany Tall Clock made by David Wood. Newburyport, MA. The case retains a wonderful warm patina with a desirable, old dry finish. The bonnet door opens to a painted iron dial with seconds bit, calendar aperture, and rolling moon phase dial. The dial retains it's original, untouched signature and is in a fine state of preservation. Behind the dial is an eight day striking brass movement that is fitted with a flat brass pendulum rod that is period detail that is identifiable to David Wood. The works are powered by original dome top, tin can shells filled with sand. The waist is flanked by fluted quarter columns, and a"thumb molded" rectangular door continuing to a base panel with crotch grain mahogany ... morewith line inlay all resting on original French feet.
