Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. This is a fine old pair of antique cannon ball style barn door rollers. They carry wear and rust consistent with their age- but they roll well and they are complete. These use cannon ball style track still made by the Cannon Ball Roller Company- formerly H.H.F. Co. of Harvard. Ill. The rollers are are model X149- which is embossed on each piece. Antique Vintage 3 Door Rollers Cannon Ball National Barn Hardware Rustic Decor
Up for bid is a variety pack of three(3) Barn Door Rollers. These industrial rural rollers are items I found together so decided not to look for the mates. But to offer them for sale. All three turn freely. Need cleaning and or oiling, and are quite different. First is a cannon ball type roller. This item is about 7" long. 1 3/4" wide and weighs around 1 1/2 pounds. Wheels are about 1 3/8" across(contact me if you need more precise measurements) This set is rusty with that rustic look. Has just part of the mounting hardware attached(see pictures) No chips or cracks. Second is a piece with a bit more mounting hardware attached. Wheel portion is about 7 1/8" long and 1" wide. Whole mechanism weighs around 3 pounds 6 ounces. The wheels are about 1/4" wide. Vintage NATIONAL BIG 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers Farm Hardware (SET #1)
For your consideration is this pair of National Mfg. Co. Big 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers" Each roller measures approximately 10 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. I found no signs that these were ever installed(see photos. No tracks on rollers or imprints by bolts or barn door on horseshoe bracket) and believe they are new. They were found on a shelf in the barn of a farm estate sale(with the second pair I have listed) and no telling how long they have been in that barn. The roller and the hinge on both move freely and smoothly and I would rate these both in good condition. The box has been wet at some time and a mouse might have had a bite or two. The brackets do have some surface rust and the high spots do show shelf wear. The new owner will decide to refinish or just wipe off and use as-is with character marks and all. This set looks to be unused they are in good fully functional condition with some scuffs and paint loss and some light rust spots. These measure on the long strap side 7 1/2' and on the short side they are 2' deep by 5 1/2' wide. Each hinge takes 9 screws, I am including 45 of the original screws they have some slight paint loss and some light rust, These hinges have the architectural raised up surface for a great look and extra strength, they have the button top hinge pins these are set up on for right hinges but the pins can be easily removed and changed to give you rights or lefts. Offered is a pair of identical steel barn door rolling hangers. These are generally used to hang sliding doors on barns and sheds. They are capable of carrying large doors and. When properly mounted, are easily operated. These are never-used old stock hardware. They are unmarked so I cannot ID or date them. They likely date to the second half of the 20th century. Please observe that these hangers have wheels with convex surfaces, and are not slotted like some. Each hanger is about 8-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches wide across the wheels. The bolt part is about 4 by 5 inches. Each roller wheel is about 2-3/4 inches in diameter and about 5/16 inch thick at the outer convex rim. They are mounted on on about 4-1/2 inch centers. Additionally the hanger is made so the door can swing outwards a few degrees if needed. Each weighs about 2-3/4 pounds. ... moreThere is some paint loss and those areas have very light rust. More so on the backside of one hanger. All the wheels turn smoothly and the other moving parts are in as-new condition. All I did was wipe them off. Here we have a pair of antique barn door rollers. They are very old and rusty. And are being sold as is. The bolts are stuck on to the screws and can't be removed due to the rust. Each piece has 2 wheels which have 2.75" diameters, and they can still move but not as well as if they were new. The hinges also can still move but not as smoothly as if they were new. One of the 2 still has a lot of the original white paint on the front, while the other one has chipped off a lot. The whole piece is 9" tall, 7.25" wide from wheel to wheel, and 4.5" wide on the main piece. This is a very cool antique which would be a great addition to any collection. Antique Vintage Pair Of Barn Door Rollers 4" Horseshoe Farm Cast Iron Hardware! Measure: 10" Tall(All Included) 5 3/4" Wide(At Widest Point) 4" Roller Wheel Diameter The rollers are made of heavy duty cast iron and on the back side of one there's a partial manufacturers tag left that reads Big 4" APR 24 1906 from research I believe they were made by National Co. They're showing signs of wear with some surface rust/discoloration/dings and could use cleaned up but both of the rollers move freely I've taken many pictures so please be sure to check them out. These would be great for restoring and putting to use or perfect for repurposing in your own special way.
