Hand painted Armoire. Purchased on ebay 6 years ago and shipped from Italy. This wardrobe is very large: 10 feet wide(120 inches) 6.3 feet high(76 inches) 2 feet deep(25 inches) Main colors are cream. Sky blue with gold trim. Has 6 locking doors(3 keys included) Both side closets are 2 inches deeper than the center and have full length hanging capactiy with one shelf in each closet. Center is half closet(for hanging shirts) with 4 drawers underneath. Very detailed carved wood trim. Paint is excellent(for its age) There are chips and missing wood. Here is a wonderful large antique oak wardrobe. Imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland and decorated with carving across the top and down the side edges and celtic symbols on the doors as shown. This fabulous functional storage unit incorporates shelving on one side and open hanging closet space on the other, with a large clear dressing mirror on the inside of the door. This open cabinet space could easily be adapted with one of many storage or shelving systems now so readily available, if desired for individual purposes. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately show and represent this large wardrobe, which stands 75 inches tall by 60 inches wide by 21 inches deep, front to back. Inside the cabinet behind the left side facing door is a space 65 inches tall by 24 1/2 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches front ... moreto back. This is a magnificent antique wardrobe/armoire/closet made by Gullachsens of Newcastle on Tyne. It is very large: 69" wide x 22" deep x 82.5" tall! The two side doors have a beautiful inlaid wood design. The center door has a full length beveled mirror. The left& center cabinet doors open to reveal a pole& hooks for hanging clothes. The right door opens to built in shelves. It has the original locks. But I do not have the key. I believe any skeleton key would work. It was made by Gullaschsen of Newcastle on Tyne in England. And still has the original name plate inside the cabinet. This company closed it's doors in 1929. So this gives you a great idea of when this piece was made. It is actually 4 pieces.the wardrobe. Antique vintage armoire wardrobe waterfall--closet cedar lined--5 drawers
A pre-owned armoire wardrobe with original casters- in the waterfall design from the art deco period. A metallic gold seal inside the top drawer reads Hooker Bassett Seal of Quality. Stenciled on the back is XO 30 ROBE. It is 36" wide x 60" tall x 20" deep. With inside closet measurements of 20" deep x 16-1/2" wide x 56" high. The drawers are dovetailed and four drawers are 15-1/4" x 14-3/4" x 8" deep. The fifth(top) drawer measures the same accept it is 6" deep. The mirrored top adds 6" to that side height measurement. Overall, the original casters add 2" to the height. They also make it easy to move. The knobs and pulls are of a white metal with marbleized pink thermoplastic decoration-celluloid or Catalin. Etc. It is a quality wardrobe in very good solid condition. There are very ... moresmall pieces of veneer missing mostly on the bottom. There is a tiny piece missing on the top edge of the third drawer down and a crease in the front of the second drawer from the top. The mirror has some small issues. This piece was purchased by my mother as a place to keep her many crochet projects and to store her completed afghans. It served her well over the years. All her things are being sold off. The family owned and operated a steam driven wood mill in the late 1800's near Ontario. Wis. The wainscot was milled by the owner in approximately 1890. A very simple utilitarian design. Excellent workmanship and finish make this a very attractive wardrobe for the restoration of an old farmhouse or other use. The exterior has a varnished surface that shows the beauty of the wood. The interior, also wainscoted, is unfinished cedar. This isn't aromatic cedar, just beautiful natural native cedar from west central Wisconsin. It could stand to be restored as it has some scratches. Scrapes and peeled laminate. The back should also be replaced due to splitting/ separating layered wood. Both side compartments are cedar lined ... morewith metal rods for hanging clothes. All 4 Wooden casters intact. Armoire is decorated with multiple woods and is in overall very solid condition. Nothing is loose. Drawers and Doors all tight like should be. The pull down door has all the hinge screws missing with the screw holes stripped out. This lovely antique mahogany armoire with intricate wood inlay trim. Manufactured during the Edwardian period in England and recently imported from the UK, offers beautiful organized storage for even the largest wardrobe. This early 20th century wardrobe offers a hanging closet cloak hooks, hanging bar and a full size dressing mirror on the door; two large deep blind shelves, behind a smaller decorative inlaid door; and a dresser with three large drawers. The design of the piece includes gorgeous intricate wood inlay trim, straight line carving, decorative metal hardware and dentition across the bonnet but the real highlight is the gorgeous mahogany wood used to create the piece. This is a high quality piece with dovetailed drawers and I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the construction, design, ... morecondition and beauty of the piece, though pictures just don't do it justice. This large wardrobe stands 52 inches long by 77 1/2 inches tall and 22 inches deep. Front to back, at it's widest points. The closet side is 65 inches tall by 22 1/2 inches wide by 18 inches deep front to back. There is a shelf at the top with 10 inches clearance above and a hanging bar running across with 52 inches clearance below the bar. On the opposing side there are two shelves behind the door on the top, each 23 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches front to back and with 17 and 17 1/2 inches clearance above each respectively. below is a chest of drawers or dresser with three drawers. The 3 large drawers are each 21 3/4 inches wide by 16 inches front to back and gradually increase in depth, measuring 7 inches, 8 1/4 inches and 9 1/4 inches in depth, respectively. The large dressing mirror on the closet door is 59 inches tall by 17 1/2 inches wide. When this large wardrobe is moved. Antique Victorian Armoire Knockdown Wardrobe Extra Closet Gun Safe
Spectacular original knockdown wardrobe from 120+ years ago. Original finish; well cared for since new. 48" wide; you can use it as a closet for that room that has none. 87" tall including top cornice piece- make sure it will fit before bidding! Completely disassembles with no tools- top. Middle, and base all are held together with sliding wood clamps that cleverly attach the sections. This has been in the same family since new. It was last used as a gun safe judging by the racks on the left side. Both doors lock. Beautiful oak grain with no damage anywhere. No makers mark; just the number 31 stamped on a number of pieces. No wood damage or repairs. No rot. Two pictures show the underside without the casters or feet mounted- last picture shows misc items that came with it- the hook& eye holds on the top trim though it's ... morepegged and sits there just fine without it. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Old, oak armoire, closet or wardrobe. It has a beveled-mirrored door and one drawer, offering tons of elegantly hidden storage. I believe it's English, based on its instructional tag: This Wardrobe when dismantled will pass the narrowest stairway or passage. Instructions: Unscrew cornice and plinth from inside of carcase. Hold the door. I can't be certain, but believe it likely dates to the early 1900s. I had too many photos to include one of the patent number(small tag nailed inside the drawer) which reads: PROVL.PAT.NO. 86004-20. The inside compartment has three hooks across the center back top. And one hook on each side. The drawer ... moreis dovetailed. The mirror has a simple bevel. My photos aren't the best- sorry- bad lighting. I think. It's a medium-dark oak. Beautiful! Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) the left side. Center, shows a split(where two oak panels meet) it bows out slightly. I don't think it's really distractive, but could probably be remedied by the handy; 2) there's a 2" x 1/2" chip on one side, near the back, relatively near the bottom- hard to see; 3) can't really see it, but the bottom skirt is angled a bit, with a small split on one side; 4) the mirror I think is totally functional and charming as is, but has spots of loss of silvering and minor imperfections; 5) in the drawer, you'll see there are wood support blocks(these came with this- I assume for the underside- that look supplementary supports) that probably could be glued into position for additional support(I haven't investigated; the closet seems fine as is) 6) the door handle has pulled a bit with a small break in the metal- still

The armoire has no damage to the finish or the closet itself. The handle to open the armoire appears to be brass. Closet is 75.5" tall. 18" deep at widest point, 44.5" long.
