Antique Rosewood Fretwork for Chickering Square Baby Grand Piano
It is a piece of fretwork from an antique piano. It looks like it held the sheet music on a Chickering square baby grand piano. The dimensions are 33 1/2" wide x 9 1/2" tall x 3/8" thick. It is made of laminate Rosewood. It has chips.Scratches and some pieces missing but is overall in very good condition and presents well. It has a slight warp. A beautiful ornate piece of fretwork that could be displayed as it is or used on a piano.

Being offered for sale is this Spectacular Victorian Walnut Fretwork Baby Cradle with Gorgeous Carved Hearts& Scrolls circa 1880's. This is positively one of the loveliest Victorian cradles I have had the pleasure of obtaining. Beautiful craftsmanship of a by gone era full of elegance and splendor and in excellent antique condition. This cradle measures 38 1/4 inches in height from the floor to the top of the finials on the cradle supports. Height from the floor to the top of the rounded ends of the actual cradle measures 32 1/2 inches,height from the floor to the top of the sides of the cradle measures 24 1/2 inches. The total length of the cradle measures 41 inches,total width is 19 1/2 inches and this cradle weighs approximately 35 lbs. The inside of the cradle measures 36 inches long by 15 1/2 inches wide and the height from the ... moreslats on the inside bottom to the top of the side rails measures 10 inches. What a splendid piece to display that antique doll collection or for that special newborn.that can be passed down for generations to come. This cradle is in amazing antique condition with no apologies I can find. This cradle did come with a vinyl covered 2 inch thick foam mattress that I do show in place in the last picture. It comes with the cradle and appears nice and clean but thats up to the new owner whether or not they would like to use it. PAIR Solid Walnut Clock or Knick Knack Shelves Detailed Fretwork Nice
This listing is for a very nice pair of solid walnut shelves. Both are in excellent condition and have a lot of detail and work. I am not sure of the exact age. These were a recent purchase from an estate. They measure 15" tall x 10 1/4" wide. Each has 3 shelves. 1 large and 2 smaller. The large shelf measures 8 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep. The smaller shelves are 3" wide x 1 5/8" deep. Both shelves have the same scene which features birds. Cherries, a ladder and a dog at the bottom of the tree. The condition is excellent. I have found no breaks or problems with either scene. There is 1 small crack at the very top which has been reglued. The backs both have a sawtooth hanger for hanging on the wall. Nice pair.

This delightful open work china dish has two cherubs as it central motif. It is pink at the outer sides which blend to an off white interior. Much of the gold rim has worn away over time but it remains an adorable display plate. Large lot of misc. architectural pieces. Circa 19th century. All have deeply bevelled. Recessed panels. There are 2 matched pairs and 2 individuals. One individual has bottom trim and ornate see-through fretwork. The other single has top and bottom trim with carved center crest. They all have gothic flair. May be made of walnut, but not positive. Winner gets all 6 Victorian pieces shown. For size reference, the panel at lower left measures 19 5/8 inches wide and 15 1/4 inches tall and upper left measures 21 3/8 inches by 8 1/2 inches. Antique Victorian Fretwork hanging wood box. For documents or candles? 14" long x 9" deep x 7 1/2" tall Brass hinges are tight and lid can remain open at various degrees. Sturdy. There are ring stains on top. The backing has a large crack as seen in the pics. Square nails were used on the bottom of the box. Screws and rusty nails on the backing. Maybe the back isn't original to the box. There are varnish drops on the back also. WONDERFUL PATINA. I believe the box is of walnut. Vintage Wood Three Piece Etagere Corner Shelf Unit Pieces Fretwork Stained Dark
Vintage Corner Etagere Shelves This is a lovely set of three corner etagere shelves. The wood has been stained a rich dark color. I think the wood is oak because the grain is nice and tight and uniform. This shelving unit needs legs as you can see as well as the spindles that go in between. This is a gradual corner unit getting wider towards the bottom. All three have lovely curly fretwork sides and beveled front edges. The sizes are as follows from smaller to largest. 14 3/4" x 10 1/4" x 4" 17 1/8" x 12" x 2 3/4" and 19 1/2" x 13 5/8" x 2 5/8" Each has one back corner hole and two holes on either side end. If you can't make it all one piece. These might work as corner shelving. Condition: These are quite old. So they obviously are not going to be in new, perfect condition. The larger one has ... moresome splits in the wood on the underside. One of them can be seen on the top. But it looks more like a seam. There is a chip in the wood on the middle one on the underside front edge. These are great vintage pieces that can hopefully be used in some capacity. Very pretty little antique silver plated oval shallow dish which stands on four dainty feet. It has a decorative fretwork border just under the rim which has a fancy scalloped edge. This is an awesome find of an antique cast iron piece of very thick ornamental fretwork. There is no markings and it is heavy. Looks to be either railroad or industrial machine due to the thick build, it is over over 1" thick and 14" overall. Very nice size and start of a cool collection. My countertop tiles are 4" X 4" to give them some scale. It has to go so I will start it at $19.99 and will ship for $10 and I accept Paypal and other methods just ask. Each measuring 11" long, 5-1/4" tall and about 3/4" thick. Featuring original old creamy white paint, these once graced a front porch, mounted between two columns. I always planned in using these somewhere, just never got around to mounting them- they both have a tiny pair of dowels mounted to the base which was how there were originally pinned into place. Condition is very nice with no cracks, hairlines, major chips or damage- lots of paint wear, scuffing, chipping and dirt cased in the cuttings- does not detract a bit. If you trim the tiny dowels off, the two sections can be joined or pushed together to create a neat round centerpiece for a table- or they look ... moregreat just decorating the mantle as a backdrop for other old painted architectural items. Antique Wooden Gingerbread Fretwork Standing Frame with Doors Damaged
I went to an estate sale. I saw this. Isn't it beautiful. The art and craftsmanship is wonderful. After I bought it. I realized it didn't have the right side. This is just too pretty. It measures 12" tall x 6 3/4" wide(counting the loss of side, and counting the flared bottom leg) The picture measurements are 5 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide inside opening. Let's start- the doors work. I love the tacks on each up/down wood line. The doors are held on with wooden circles and wooden dowels. The door on the right top has a crack probably from what made the side break off. There is a crack in the main frame on the bottom left door hinge. Main frame- small piece missing off- 1) bottom left under hinges at bottom 2) top left# mark 3) entire right side of course. Back has stand that has been re-aligned. It probably came ... moreoff and couldn't be put back in same holes. Bottom legs look like thin cracks in them. Old wood is brittle. If you put a picture in and leave the doors open, others may not notice the right loss. I didn't. It is so ornate that I fixed on the beauty of the tiny carving then on the loss. It is up to you. I want someone who loves it like I do. It is a piece of history now. Weighs 6 oz. total. I still would have to bind it and wrap it well with the brittle wood. Any questions. Ask. Fretwork Victorian 1880 Fancy Stick & Ball Architectural 70" long x 20 1/4" tall
Up for Auction I have an Antique Victorian Fretwork Wood Gingerbread Stick and Ball Spandrel Arch. I was told that it was taken out of an old bank that was in business in the mid to late 1800's. It was part of the fancy Tellers window. It does come in two sections and each section can stay stationary or swing from side to side. The wood is Oak. Best used at the top section of a double cased opening. Will add such charactor and charm to any decor. There is some slight damage to the piece if you look at pictures 5& 6 one small ball is missing and a few sticks have been glued back onto arch. If you look at the over all picture. It is not very obvious due to the busy pattern. I never expect a piece of this age to be perfect. It also looks to me like one of the sticks has been replaced in picture 4. The long end pieces are not Oak and ... moremay have been added at a later time.These pieces are a RARE find of days gone past. I have seen these arches in a few western movies in Banks and Saloons. It measures about 42" long x 47" tall x 18 1/2" deep, the lower shelf sits at 30" tall. This is a fantastic piece for storage, there is so much room between the two shelves and the cabinets. Unfortunately I no longer have room for this item. The finish is a waxed wood, the wood is a dark red, and there is some of the original paint under the wax. There are a few light scratches on the lower shelf which can be covered easily with more wax or wood oil. Due to age the lower shelf isn't completely straight, ... moreit bows slightly in the center. Additonally there are some splits in the wood doors, again, as one would expect with a country piece, and with age. The doors and drawers have their original porcelain pulls, the front door swings open from time to time, I just put a tassle around both pulls to keep the cabinets closed. This cabinet has it's original fretwork around the border, which is in lovely condition. Due to size and weight this is available for pick up in LA only.
