Made in Izmir Utensil Vase& Serving Dish and Two Bowls with a Set of Six Desert Forks and Spoons with Figural Angles and Cherubs Presented is an amazing solid Turkish Ottoman silver desert set made in Izmir with utensil vase& oval serving dish and two round bowls with a set of six desert forks and spoons. This great little set has maker’s marks on all the pieces. The vase has an insert that has a high finish cup with a flared rim matching a chased and pierced holder with draped grape leaf and bow motif with figural angles and cherubs. All serving pieces have four floral& shell flourished feet at base. These items are hand hammered and chased with a distinct look to them. There are very interesting period stylized monograms that appear more decoration amid the outstanding hand chased design ... moreof the Turkish or Islamic motif with swirls and iconic vines and leafs on all but the saucers. It is an exciting piece that is a great set for any table or occasion. These marks are found in My Ottoman silver reference book and they are listed as working in Izmir. You are bidding on a great looking silver coin from Egypt. This is a one qirsh coin from 1894. The coin shows the sultan's tughra. A rose to the right and above the tughra and the denomination below it all surrounded by a foliate design with quivers on the bottom. The reverse says Duribah Fi Misr(struck in Egypt) with the number 10 for the 10th year of Abdul Hamid II's reign over the letter"Beh" on top and three stars above it all. There is also Abdul Hamid accession year of 1293 AH below it below it all on the reverse all surrounded by a floral and foliate design along the edge.
