It's 20 inches long. 12 inches wide and 11 inches tall. You see the condition, she definitely has character. The bare wood was once covered with a heavy type decorative paper, most of that is gone but you see some remnants of that in places. The original label was found in the trunk. It belonged to a gentleman in Escanaba Michigan. Maybe you can reincorporate the label back into a repurpose project(maybe lacqure it onto the top side? There is leather and metal construction incorporated into this little trunk. The leather handle is broken and the leather straps are gone with just some of their remnants being in place. Antique Saks Fifth Avenue Hartman Trunk Co. PATHFINDER Leather Steamer Suitcase
This antique Hartman Trunk Co. Steamer Suitcase/trunk has great appeal and character. Early 1900's. Covered in leather/cowhide with a pink silk interior this piece was sold by Saks Fifth Avenue. Bronze hinges with a really neat mechanism. Over all condition is great for the age. Leather hinge on the back has torn on the left side. The original owners initials are stamped on the front and have not work. The name of the owner is still on a travel tag attached to a Holland America cruise liner tag. A bronze Saks Fifth Avenue tag is also on the front. The name of this trunk is called the PATHFINDER. Really nice piece of history. Priced to sell. Any questions please feel free to ask!

Traveling was long, hard, and exhausting. People would literally live out of these trunks as they traveled for weeks and sometimes months on end. Thus. They were built with quality and built to last, which is why they have stood the test of time! The craftsmanship that went into the construction and design of theses ole’ trunks are truly nothing short of spectacular. I recently discovered this wardrobe trunk buried ... morein the rafters in the attic of a local farm house estate in a in nearby town. It stopped me dead in tracks and I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor! There was no way I was leaving without this trunk. And lucky for me I had hubby to carry it out of the attic and down 3 flits of stairs! And now for the decription… This is a nice authentic period Wardrobe steamer trunk. It is signed on the exterior by the maker Oshkosh Trunk Company. I am unsure of the exact age. But it was clearly left where I had found it for a very very long time. If I had to guestimate I would say it is likely from the early 20 th century. It measures 40 x 22 x 20 inches and weighs 75 pounds respectfully. The exterior is covered with what appears to be a volcanized material with dozens of original brass. Nails, knobs Hinges, Lock and hardware. The lock comes with key and functions as designed. LV trunks are highly collectible but the stories behind them make them all unique and sought after. These are from the late 1800s to early 1900s. They have been together for years and I don't want to seperate them. These belonged to my client's uncle. He was a Superintendent in the building 1115 5th Avenue. New York NY. The story goes that he was given these by a resident. He never used them or traveled with them and passed them on to his neice. The original owner of the cases traveled first class on the Famous SS United States Cruise Liner from New York to Paris as indicated by the stickers. I don't know if it was the maiden voyage. I do know John Carradine traveled on the ship but I can't say these are his. There were a lot of very famous people that lived in the 1115 5th Ave Buidling as well as those that traveled on that ship. The smaller case measures 28 X 17 X 8.5. It has the LV Sticker inside 149 New Bond Street, 70 Champs Elysees Paris. The serial number on the lock is 071745. The larger case. Steamer trunk is 44 x 21.5 x13. This one has the initials DTA in red and has the Paris stamp from the US Lines and the First Class H stamp on it. The serial number on the lock is 045509. I've included a brief history of the ship below. You can buy additonal items from the ship right here on Ebay as they were auctioned a few years ago. These case would make a great coffee table. Bedside stands or just a fun display piece. They are in quite good condition. They have not been exposed to smoke and are clean smelling inside. This case is in incredible condition. It looks as if it has never traveled, especially the interior, see the pics of this spotless case. From the brass corners to the leather edging to the brass closures, this case is beautiful. These are all Samsonite and there is a key for the entire set. These cases could be used for a number of things besides luggage. A very popular use is for camera equipment or speciality tools. By installing foam packaging and cutting it to fit ... moreyour camera or tools is a stylish and less expensive way to protect and transport. Antique 50's Braverman & Berman Luggage Hard Shell Gray Trunk/Suitcase
Vintage 1954 Braverman& Berman Suitcase Measures 18" wide. 13" front to back, and 6" thick(closed) Twin latch closures. Key locking holes but I don't have the key for locking it. Good condition. Silk-like red interior, has a peeled Capital Airlines sticker on the exterior. Wood handle, vinyl covering is gone from handle. Dark gray in color.

Vintage Wood Bound Steamer Trunk, Excellent Condition, Wooden Suitcase
Vintage wood bound steamer trunk. There are no identifying marks on the hardware or trunk other than the number 75 below the keyhole on the latch. I believe this trunk was made in the UK as the estate I acquired it from had many vintage items from Europe. However that is not for certain. I am not a collector and know very little about old trunks. So I have taken pictures from every angle so you can see the entire trunk. Please note the third picture, upper left hand corner, a small piece of material is missing. Also note the last picture.the wood banding was broke and repaired at some point in time. I will be happy to supply more detailed pictures upon request. Dimensions are approximately 34"w x 11"h x 21"d(not including handle) The latches are functional. But I do not have a key. The handles on the end are leather, but the ... moremain handle is metal. The main structure of this suitcase is wood-there is one interior corner where the material is missing(the size of a quarter) and you can see that the suitcase is made out of wood. Vintage or Antique Hartmann Tourobe Wardrobe Travel Steamer Trunk Suitcase
This is an antique or vintage Hartmann Tourobe made in Racine WI travel wardrobe trunk. Trunk measures about 35" x 20" x 12" This has been used. There are surface scratch/rub marks on the outside of the trunk, the leather handle is broken off, the closures work but there is not a key to lock them. Trunk is has markings on the end that say Lt. Comdr. Johnstone MCVS U.S.N.R. on the end and a sticker that says Gibalterized. The Hartmann Tourobe Racine Wi sticker is intact. There are travel stickers attached to the outside and a tag that says Railway Express, Inc. War Won't Wait, if that helps to date it. This outside is black with metal, and not sure what the main material is, maybe a pressed wood. The inside is blue with 3 compartments on the fold down side, 2 of the compartments have cloth ties, the top cloth part folds ... moreover and snaps at the end, snap pieces are intact. The other side has 2 wood hangers and the metal pieces that hold the hangers fold in to hold the hangers and can be folded out when the trunk is opened. There are some water marks on the cloth cover of the fold out part and a musty smell to the inside of the trunk. The red stripes on the outside of the trunk do have rub marks.

It is 12.5"x37"x21" Made of a thick resin board that is riveted and has unique metal corner caps and metal support brackets. The leather handles on both ends are damage one is missing. The metal has tarnish and wear. The outside finish is worn and stained. The inside of the trunk has a removable storage unit that has a buttoned lid. The buttons are also marked Indestructo. Hartmann Tourobe Suitcase/Trunk/Wardrobe All original and in great condition. This is a suitcase from the early to mid 1900s. Comes with the original hangers and is in great condition. It has normal wear(scuffs. Edge protectors have scratches, and someone used a marker to cross something out on the bottom of one side) All the hardware is original and functioning. The Hartmann badge is still on and it even has the little patent label still attached. There is a small clear plastic piece with the Hartmann name on it and a piece of paper slipped in it with letters and numbers on. Not sure what it is but it is there and the owners initials are visible by the handle Inside is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the fabric and all snaps still there. There is one small divider that is coming away(see photos) The exterior has some scuffs ... moreand scratches but no gouges or punctures to the shell. 1920's H.A. Kolb Steamer Trunk Suitcase
I did some research on H.A. Kolb Trunk and Case Company based out of St Louis. MO, and I could hardly find anything. They became incorporated on April 30th 1912. The trunk is stamped with"J.W. Edgerly& Co" and there is a sticker that says"Rock Island" on the middle of the front. Rock Island. Illinois I am assuming. This is some information I found on J.W. Edgerly& Co: In 1860 he accepted a situation in the drug store of the late Dr. J. L. Taylor. In 1865. He, and C. F. Blake were admitted to membership in the firm, under the name of Taylor, Blake& Co. He retired from the above firm in 1875, and, in partnership with Wm. Daggett, organized the firm of Daggett& Harper and built the Ottumwa Linseed Oil Mills. In 1885 Mr. Daggett retired from the firm, and was succeeded by J. W. Edgerly, and the firm name was ... morechanged to W. T. Harper& Co. In 1888 J. W. Edgerly, W. T. Harper and C. F. Harlan purchased the wholesale drug house of Blake, Bruce and Co. and have continued under the name of J. W. Edgerly& Co. up to the present time. I also found this in an obituary: She was married here and the family made their home in Ottumwa.Iowa while MR. BEDWELL was a member of the old wholesale drug firm, Black,Bruce& Co. of which J.W. Edgerly& Co is the successor. From her the BEDWELL family moved to Omaha where MR. BEDWELL, continued in the wholesale drug business. He died in 1919. The inside of the trunk is in great shape with an original sticker that states: H.A. Kolb trunk and case co. Successors to the Union Sample Case Co 1522 Olive St Louis. For Your Consideration. Vintage Goyard Aine Black Trunk. Vintage Condition. Lots of Marks and scratches but no structural damage. Latches Work well. Lock will close but does not lock. No Key. There is also a little flap that covers the key hole. Latches and Locks are marked"Goyard Aine" small metal tag on each end reads" Malles Goyard" with Logo and address. Size is 31 1/2" x 16" x 8 1/2" Inside is Light Orange color. The handle is there but the side leather attachment is torn. See Image) has glue but does not hold. Manufactured by W.H.Smith. This vintage English Trunk has amazing British character and charm. Measuring 33” long, 14 ½” wide, and 13” deep, it is made of rich brown leather exhibiting a natural patina that warms with age. VTG ANTIQUE COWHIDE LEATHER SUITCASE TRAVEL LUGGAGE ~ Black Hide Steamer Trunk
You are bidding on/ buying an ANTIQUE 1920s GENUINE COWHIDE LEATHER STEAMER TRUNK. I come across quite a few suitcases. I have yet to see one in as good a shape. And as unique a design as this one. It is the size of a small suitcase. But shaped like a trunk. It measures 24 inches across the front 13 1/2 inches deep, and 10 inches tall. It has steamer style straps. Silver accent hardware, all original. It almost has a walrus or elephant texture to the hide of the material. You can see the patterning up close in photo 12. The top part of this piece expands up about 3 inches if you fill it to do so. If not it sits flat. Photos 8& 11. There are 2 straps around the case. In great condition. On the front of the case there is a lock latch, and 2 securing latches. All 3 in good order. Inside looks good. All the straps there are in great shape ... moretoo. Up for bid is an interesting vintage estate trunk. Is wood with black fiber exterior. Decorative brass corner hardware, double latch opening, black Bakelite handle, four hard plastic feet on bottom in closed horizontal position and four metal feet on bottom in closed vertical position. Exterior has some parting at the seams and shows signs of wear equal to use and age. The interior is open with exposed wood bottom and the number 7 in black(perhaps original cloth is missing) and black plastic covering opposite with elastic band for securing something in place. Vintage Suitcase w/ Cunard White Star Line Athenia Stickers This trunk is well worn but has a neat history of being taken on the Cunard White Star Athenia ship two yeas before it was sunk. The ship was in service from 1922 to 1939 until Sept. 3. When it was torpedoed and sunk by German sub. U-30 off Inishtrahull. The stickers on this particular case are from May 28th 1937 from Montreal to Liverpool, another from August 6th, likely when the person returned. It also has a mostly-torn-off Cunard Baggage sticker, one for Anchor-Donaldson and one for Hotel Excelsior. I don't see any brand identification to the case. It's made of wood. Though I'm unsure what kind. The interior shows some signs of wear as pictured, but to be expected from something almost 80 years old and used to travel with. A cool piece of travel history!

Removable linen shelf in great condition as is the gathered material on top to hold extra items. Entire inside is SUPER clean with no stains at all. I believe it is a textured leather with pusted leather strap on one side. And leather handle and edges show wear. Piece measures 32" in length. 18 side and 10" tall when set flat. Eagle Lock with NO KEY, and two fasteners on either side of lock. Outside has a few mars. But no major rips or tears. Wonderful and decorative piece. Beautiful Louis Vuitton Monogram Trunk Fantastic vintage Louis Vuitton trunk. Very nice case in monogram canvas. The brass hardware is all intact and very strong. The original key is included! Very rare to have the key along with the case! The trunk does have some wear throughout but overall is in wonderful vintage condition. The canvas shows wear mostly on the sides and a bit on the top of the case. The rivets all say Louis Vuitton. Corners on top were painted with yellow. Along with initials G.C.C. on each end. Was purchased in an Rhode Island estate. Measures. 43.5" x 22" x 13"
