Eagle lock was in business from 1833-1954. So the age ... moreof the trunk lies in that time frame. It is adorned with black metal trim and ornate brass accents. This old trunk does show it's age in places. But there is nothing major. A few nicks, and there are a few dents or ding marks in the black metal trim. On the top front you will see there is 2 areas of chipped or worn off wood, a small amount enough to where wood putty filler should be an easy fix if you wish. There is also a very small chip place on the side you can see in pic 6. One of the hinges on the back is missing one button, see pic 9, and there is some separation on some of the brass corner pieces you can see in pic 12. I think I have mentioned every flaw. But please see all the pictures for the best description. For a trunk this old I consider its condition to be normal. Also, this would make a nice coffee table. the top is flat. This antique Hartman Trunk Co. Steamer Suitcase/trunk has great appeal and character. Early 1900's. Covered in leather/cowhide with a pink silk interior this piece was sold by Saks Fifth Avenue. Bronze hinges with a really neat mechanism. Over all condition is great for the age. Leather hinge on the back has torn on the left side. The original owners initials are stamped on the front and have not work. The name of the owner is still on a travel tag attached to a Holland America cruise liner tag. A bronze Saks Fifth Avenue tag is also on the front. The name of this trunk is called the PATHFINDER. Really nice piece of history. Priced to sell. Any questions please feel free to ask!

VINTAGE KOLB TRUNK & CASE CO, ST LOUIS, MO HAND CARRY TRUNK - CASE
This is a vintage case made by Kolb Trunk& Case Co. St. Louis, MO. they were formed in April-1912. It is about 20 x 7 x 10 1/2" with a leather handle, 2 snap catches& push button key lock that will close but is stiff to open-maybe a little oil- No Key" All corners are metal protected. It is made of some type of hardboard& covered with a hard resin type sheet& then riveted. It looks like someone has made 2 divider trays to sit on top as in the pictures. It is solid but does show age with the rust& marks. This was found at an estate sale.

After serving as commander of Scott Field from 1933 to 1937, spent the majority of the rest of his career on the staff of the Chief of the Army Air Corps. His last assignment on active duty was as commander of Fairchild Field at Spokane, Washington. He retired in 1944 and passed away in March 1965. Quite interesting historical piece! army air corps, who was one of the first five men to volunteer for flight training when the army introduced it in 1911. Col. Kennedy. Went to Germany in 1922 to observe construction of the dirigible Los Angeles for the United States, and after the attack on Pearl Harbor supervised construction of air corps depots on the west coast. He retired in 1944.

Autorobe Trunk Co. 1917 Royal Robe Autorobe RARE
This is a very sweet trunk. It is a 1917 Autorobe Trunk Co. Royal Robe model Autorobe trunk. It opens at the top and a half door folds down and the top flips up. On the other side of the half door is a compartment that opens and is help shut by two leather flaps with buttons that clasp shut. On the fourth picture you can see the flap open. That compartment also slides out of the half door. Then you flip the metal bar up and you are able to pull out the wooden clothes hangers. There are also two anchor hangers and a slacks hanger. In the seventh picture you can see some compartments for shoes inside the trunk. There is also another"briefcase" type compartment that comes out as you can see in the nineth picture. That opens up and is divided into two. There is also a fabric bag that you can see in the 11th picture. As you can see the ... moretop has some tape over the lock because we don't have the key so if it shuts it would not be able to be opened back up. With some alterations you could either replace that lock. Or just jam up the locking part of the lock so you can place it inside the trunk again. There are two auctions for ads here on ebay that describe these. and I am going to put $50 for shipping on this now. Constructed of wood and metal. As you can see it has some character, and wear. The name plate is still attached securely. I tried to find other American Hardware chests, but could not. One of the handles is missing, and the latches works well. The person's name. Guglietti" was the owner and just pasted away a couple of months ago at 99 years. He was a remarkable man, full of life and meticulous. When he was young he attended Jullaird in New York, and as time went on felt a need to serve in the war effort and went into the aeronautics industry. Measures 31" W x 17" L x 13" H. You are bidding on an antique R H Macy& Co Oshkosh wardrobe steamer trunk! This is a very neat piece. It has stickers from the White Star Lines and Cunard. It is in good condition for it's age. The main issue I see is the lock has bee popped and will need to be replaced. The leather handle strap is also missing. Other than that it is in great used condition. It is rather large and heavy so it will have to be shipped via blanket shippers. I would recommend Plycon Vanlines. Conway or Uship.com but you can use whomever you like. Wonderful antique wardrobe trunk found at an auction. The trunk has the manufacters name plate P Becker& Co. Makers Chicago. I could not find much history on this just that around 1930 they went from making trunks and suitecases to table tennis. Anyway this trunk is very heavy. It is in pretty good condition. It does need some cleaning up which was going to be my project but I need to find my garage before winter. The trunk is 43" tall and 21x24" on top. It opens sideways. The top opens on one side to access the hangers. And the hangers also slide out on telescoping metal rods, as shown in the photo. This auction is for a beautiful antique wardrobe steamer trunk made by the National Vulcanized Fibre Company. The construction of these trunks bearing the indian-head label date back to the late 1800s into the early 1900s. This particular piece has been stored in my moms attic since she and my dad purchased their house in 1965 from an old couple who had lived in the home since i was built in 1924. I'm estimating the age of this trunk to be anywhere between 90 and 100 years old. As seen in the pictures the trunk had been only slightly used and does not show any signs of travel use. It shows signs of oxidation on the metal parts and slightly on the vulcanized material. The leather handle has not worn out and is still in good condition bearing the number 524-22. This is a very nice piece that looks like it dropped out of the cargo hold of a ship from the 20's. It has a great feel and shows its age as the seems are pulling apart. The paint is weathered, there is no key, the latch does not work and there is no key. Very well made and would be a lovely feature for a display or to give a real vintage feel to your favorite room. Vintage 1920's or 30's Shwayder Trunk Co. steamer trunk/ foot locker. Measures 30" x 16" x 12" and is quite large. Shows signs of wear and use. Light rust, plenty of dings and dents, and the main locking latch appears to be bent. The side latches work fine and do a great job of closing. It is solidly built and has a beautiful aged patina which has never been cleaned. Handles read'Shwayder Trunk Co. Fabulous! Gorgeous! This steamer trunk is just magnificent. In excellent condition though a little dirty from age and use. Wooden frame is wrapped in a black painted canvas. Drawers are wrapped in yellow canvas except where the floral fabric is present. Drawers are wood! The chest has brass or brass plated heavy duty rounded corners. The strapping is some form of inflexible metal. Steel perhaps. The leather handle is missing one end and does slip out. But w 85% of handle present the handle could be duplicated w authenticity to original design! Emblems are beautiful! Shiny and detailed. L.W. is painted and bright in a classical shadow block font. The lock outside works as does top drawer lock! Original keys. All hinges and seaman are solid and tight. Trunk is in excellent functioning condition! The laminated hangers are included! The shoe ... morepockets are a lovely detail. There are two blue snapping straps inside. Umbrella, cane? There is a pin cushion type of ball attached to a wooden slat. The hump is magical. This is a find! Collection piece. Prop for theatre, photography shoot, window display, movie! The dimensions of this piece are 43" x 21" x 21" The weight is 85 pounds. Ornate drawer handles and brass hardware on the outside. There is a little wear to the cotton screen but the drawers are in great shape. Three wooden hangers- one for top and two for bottoms.It says CAPT. O. B. Schreuder M. C. on the outside. There is also remnants of traveling stickers. A few scuffs around the outside but we will leave it the way we found it so the buyer can choose what they want to do.
