Antique Carved Mahogany Lamp Table circa 1900's If one good turn deserves another. It is plainly seen here in the legs of this wonderful turn-of-the-century lamp table. Measuring 29 1/2" tall, 30 3/4" square, this oversized lamp table would also be a splendid addition beneath a living room window or as a parlor room centerpiece. The table is in fine condition with minimal age distress and is quite sturdy, typically far cry from usual contemporary craftmanship, a statement of classic elegance. Unique to this table are the spiral turned legs. Each is decorated which notched spherical designs. Two semi-circles join together underneath the table top to reinforce the piece while adding function via attractive detail. Brass caps detail the tip of each leg. It is a lovely plant table made of mahogany wood. Carved sides and bow curved legs. There are two additional levels besides the top. The levels are attached by turned wood spindles. The top level has a beautiful beveled edge and the other two levels are carved with circle design pattern. I noticed that one leg is about 1/4" short and there is a hint of a wobble. I'm not sure if it is my tile flooring. But wanted to mention. A split in the wood is seen on one leg. The wood has been glued during the restoration and is standing strong. This an amazing antique Victorian era solid mahogany lamp or center table. It has a stick and ball skirt top along with rope edge trim. Large spiral turned legs that sit on bronze talon feet with wood balls and a great set of bronze winged Griffins supporting the bottom shelf. It measures 28" square x 28 1/2" high and the bottom tier is 16" square. We have left the table just as found. It has"fretwork" braces on each corner of the top and also on the side shelves. It has very pretty"carved knees" on the cabriolet legs tapering to spire type feet. It's wonderful to me. But I have always been a"Victorian Era" fan when it comes to furniture. What an entry table ... moreit would make for a small tp medium size foyer as well as a killer hall table. With the multi-shelves it has, there is planty of spce to display your'pretties" on. It would also make a nice window table as well as a side or lamp table or bedside table. The tables is 25 3/4" wide at it's widest point which are the edges os the two side shelves. It's 16" deep and 27 3/4" tall. The side or end shelves are both 13 1/2" X 6 1/2" and about 7 1/8" below the top. The bottom shelf is 19 1/4" X 12 5/8" and about 6" off the floor. The patina is a deep dark brown mahogany. There is No reddish tint to this table at all. The overall condition of the table is good, not pristine or excellent but good to very good. It is very stable and sturdy, there is No Rot or worm damage to this table. There is no telling how many times this table has been refinished or refurbished in the past 100 plus years. The finish on the table is good and ready to set out to use and enjoy. Offered from my mother's estate is an Antique Dark Mahogany Oval top Lyre End Side or Lamp Table#277 by Valley Furniture Company of Grand Rapids Michigan. See photos. Dad made a glass insert for the top to prevent damage. It has been in the family for several years before 1950. I am not sure of the exact year. But from that year forward I do know. The dark mahogany finish was never restored since we owned the table. I took detailed pictures for viewing. On the underside there appears to be a few spots where there is overflow from the top, but that may have been done during the early making of this table. The glass insert has been in there since the 60s without spacers. We have never tried to remove it. We will ship it with painters tape can cardboard to prevent damage. Looking at the table through the glass you can't see any scratches, ... morebut with a flash it shows a few of the original scratches that you cant see with the eye. The table measures 25 1/2" tall. 23 3/4" wide and 17 3/4" deep. I try to be as clear as I can be as to condition description. Very sturdy table. Beautiful well made table in very good original condition. Top is 26" diameter. Height is 27 1/4" It has a single deep pull out drawer and brass paw feet with claws. Drawer is well made as is the table. Top and sides are pretty much near perfect. Legs have some minor scuffs and scratches. The large center post you can see the glue joints where they put it together. The one leg has had a screw put in on the lower side so it must have been a little loose and someone tightened it up. You can't see it unless the table is upside down. It is sound and solid with no wobble. Leg spread is 19" closest toe to closest toe. No maker name that I can see. Vintage Mahogany Pole Lamp-End Table Circa 11940-50's This lovely very unusual vintage mahogany combination pole lamp-end table is in the Queen Anne style. Has a round top tier with three lower shelves with spindled borders. It sits on a Queen Anne style leg tripod with a brass pole going up from the top tier to hold the shade. The round top has a 14 inch diameter, the widest spread towards the bottom is 25 inches, it is 62 inches high to top of shade and is in very good condition with no damages of any kind. Antique Early American mahogany top Queen Anne style Lamp / Accent /Buffet Table
This is a beautiful and elegant antique Early American Queen Anne style Lamp or Accent Table. It has a mahogany top and is solid wood throughout. But I’m not sure of the type– probably cherry or maple. The table is very well built. And not loose or shaky at all. I suspect that it may have originally been a longer table. Possibly a buffet style, and that it has been cut down or shortened in length, and this explains the seam in the middle and the support panel underneath. The current size of the top of the table(28” x 18” is actually quite nice for a variety of uses and we have included a couple of pictures with appointments to illustrate this. The table is 30” tall and weighs 18 lbs. Although currently the seam in the middle is obvious. It is very well-fitted and some light refinish work to the top could greatly improve that seam.
