I don’t see a maker’s mark, but this is ... morehigh quality company. It has four sections that are all slatted oak. Each bookcase section is 14 inches wide, 8 inches deep, 12 inches high on the bottom, 10 inches high on the other 3 levels. The overall height of the bookcase is 58 inches. The finish is very nice and it will hold many books. The only thing I see wrong with it is that there are lamination seams on the top came apart a bit, but is structurally sound. It revolves on a metal base. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.

I have spent endless hours locating a source for these knobs. This auction is for 2(two) AGED/BURNISHED) base knobs. Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. The aging and burnish process takes a 5 step process and can be hazardous to perform. The aging/burnishing is done at essentially cost. See our ad for Aging Solution. Antique Revolving Wood Bookcase, Early 1900's Eastlake Style Base, Handmade?
Hi. This is a lovely little revolving bookcase. It's a red pine with 3 grooved pine strips on each side. Base is made with an East-lake style design decoration. I would guess circa to be early 1900's. The top has a more brownish color to it which accents the piece. I am selling as found from an estate sale. It stands approx 29 inches high from top to floor with the top measuring 16 x 15 3/4 inches and 11 1/2 across the bottom of the base. Two shelves for books or display measuring 7 3/4 inch high on the top one and 10 1/2 high on the bottom shelf. Revolving motion is smooth and sturdy. Base For Globe Wernicke Sectional Stacking Barrister Metal Bookcase Industrial
You are buying the 4 legged base ONLY for the sectional bookcase you see in the pictures. I repeat-just the base. The top cap and 4 sections are listed in other sales. The base is 10" tall and 33" wide by 13" deep. It fits under a bookcase that has an indented top of 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" deep. It does have some rust but is solid and needs cleaned and paint. The rest of the description describes the rest of the bookcase which you might need to see if this fits yours.These never had doors and are slightly taller than the ones that you find with doors. Size is just over 33" wide by 13" deep by 17 1/8" tall to the very top. The section that shows when stacked is 16 7/8" tall. The very top of the cabinet is a little smaller so that the base of the next section can lock into it. The smaller section ... moreat the very top is 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" deep. I have 4 of these cabinets that make up the larger stack. You are buying one with the chance to buy additional if you are the first buyer. If you buy more than one you need to buy one-pay for it-then buy the next-pay-and so on. I cannot combine shipping and ebay will combine it by weight and their combined invoice will be wrong. As you see the total structure it stands 80" counting the top cap and bottom base. There is lots of wear and scratching/loss to the paint and they could use cleaned up better.Some have writing and old tape on them. One of the sections has 2 holes drilled in the right side that you can see in a picture. The one picture shows the top inside of the cabinet. The only piece that is signed is the top cap. There is rust on the base but not much rust on anything else. The cabinets weigh 32 lbs each before packing and will incur even more dimensional weight by the shippers due to their size. Up for sale is this barrister bookcase base and top. There is no label so I don't know the precise maker. The base is missing its bottom panel. There is some veneer loss/damage to the top along with other wear and tear, so please know that these are a refinishing project. The top measures about 34" across and 12" wide including the lip on the very top. The base is about 12 1/2" wide including the lip at the very bottom, and 34" across. All units measure 11 ½” inside, top to bottom except 108-299 which measures 9 5/8” These are from my Mother’s estate and are in very good condition-probably close to 100 years old so obviously there may be a minor scuff or nick—but not many. All have the original wavy glass and brass knobs. Metal sidebands are naturally worn. The wood has beautiful patina and lovely grain pattern. Early Tiger Oak Globe Wernicke Lawyers Bookcase Drawer Base
This is a nice condition base stand for a Globe Wernicke Lawyer's Bookcase. Looks like Tiger Oak but I'm not a professional. The drawer needs a little TLC. While it does function it needs a mild remedy to make it easier to open and close. I have several broken water damaged pieces of a bookcase but this was protected from harm and is still in good shape. For a restoration piece its great! Finish is dulled but its a solid base. Wish I could restore it myself. I love these"modular" bookcases quite modern for their day! I would like someone to have it who is interested in restoration of these. As this appears to be an early and less common section. I also have a top that needs veneer work that I will be listing as well. Local pickup unless buyer wants to provide a shipping service.
