The chairs are solid mahogany and date from the 1930s to 1940s in good original condition. A couple of the chair backs have small cracks, and one has a chip on the side post. Antique wood chair with fruit and ivy vine leaf design painted on the top of the back. Very nice and sturdy design with spindles that are flat instead of round. The chair is sound. The finish is in good condition with some wear and scuff marks indicative of age and use. it is an orangish brown in color. Dark pecan perhaps. The chair measures are as follows and are approximate; 36" from floor to top of the back of the chair. The top back rest is 17 5/8"L. The seat is 14 1/2" wide in the back and 16" w in the front. Great Roycroft built dining chair from the Asheville. NC Grove Park Inn. Only 400 of these chairs were built for the dining room of the hotel, and that would have been in 1912-13. Then in 1920, the hotel had the arms added to 350 of the chairs, this being one of them. This chair is in great shape. I've had it for 10 years or so. And it's just time for it to be appreciated by someone else. I don't know that much about furniture, but I'm sure it's been refinished, and looks like the back slat was replaced some time long ago. Unusual antique vintage tri-folding wooden dining room chair RESTORATION PROJECT
UNIQUE TRI-FOLDING DINING ROOM CHAIR.restoration project- chair is solid This unusual hardwood folding chair has been lightly surface cleaned. But needs to be refinished and have the seat recovered. Makes for a great restoration project, as the folding mechanism works great and the chair is sturdy in the open position. The hardwood appears to be maple, but I am not an expert. The wood is in great shape, but some of the finish is peeling or worn. Opened position chair measures about 34" tall with a 15" wide x 14 1/2" deep seat. In the folded position it measures about 15" wide x 18 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" thick. Good luck bidding!

The arm chairs measure 38" tall by 23" wide by at arms, the seat 16" deep by 21" wide in front. The side chairs measure 38" tall by 20-1/2" wide, the seat 15" deep by 19" wide in front.
