Base and center leg and this table has a solid walnut top, raised panels of burl walnut accenting the apron and a splendid carved base which also has raised burl panels and carved scrolls accenting each leg. This table measures 30 inches in height from the floor to the top.With a height from the bottom of the table apron to the floor of 25 1/2 inches. Without any leaves the table measures 48 inches across, with 1 leaf in place 48" by 60" with 2 leaves in place 48" by 72 inches, with all 3 leaves ... morein place 48" by 84" and this table weighs approximately 150 lbs total. Beautiful large Renaissance Revival Walnut dining room table. The table has 2 large leaves. It opens and closes nicely and the leaves fit perfectly. The apron and the table legs both have raised burl panels. The table has a split base that locks and opens smoothly there is also a center leg that stays in the center when the table is extended fully. The old wheels were all replaced in the 1940s with antiqued high quality brass ones. Triangular piece and section of the lower apron came off(see photos) But I have the pieces and can be glued back on. Includes glass top. Circa: 1875. 45 inches in diameter. Local preferred. Victorian walnut 46 inch Round dining table extends to 8 feet ca. 1865?
This table was given to my mother in 1963 in Albany NY by a friend of hers that was moving cross country. At that time she told her it was about 100 years old. It was in peices and had several coats of paint on it. She spent a whole winter stripping and restoring it. She finished it with linseed oil and every year at Christmas would rub it down. It sat in the lobby of a resort they bought in 1978 and she was made several offers over the years. She gave it to me only months before she died it was absolutely her prize possession. I need to sell it I am moving to Japan and cannot afford to ship it and I need the money. It is solid walnut no makers mark that I can find. It extends to 8 feet but no leafs, a good cabinet maker could easily replicate some. no reserve. I am guessing the weight is about 80 to 100 lbs.

Walnut table with nut carvings c1850 Beautiful patina/ original finish Moving. Must sell- NO RESERVE This is a beautiful walnut table with graceful legs and intricate nut carvings on the legs and the skirting. It has quite a few stretchers. So I think it could expand considerably, though we have no leaves for it. We do still have the extra support legs. The casters are solid brass with wood rollers. The top is in good condition given it's age. it does have some water marks and a few black stains- see photos for detail on condition. One of the support legs has cracks due to the wood used, not from age. Note that the leg support mechanism is dovetailed, probably by hand. The table top measures 55 X 41 inches. Stylized Renaissance five baluster pedestals base splits-opens in half to expose a middle baluster pedestal support(when opened table is extremely sturdy and comfortable for use) Four legs with decorative griffin heads and original casters. Hand carvings. Molded decorative discs and finials on base. Original iron catches underneath the base for locking it in the closed mode. Three leaves without aprons for easier handling and storing( somewhat usual for continental dining tables from the 19th Century as table cloth was mandatory element of decoration) Leaves grain matching the top perfectly. Table top opens per length rather than per width as usually tables do, so once the leaves are inserted the WIDTH becomes 49 1/2" and the total LENGTH with all three leaves inserted 124" basically length when closed- a longer measurement, become width when opened) Historicism is a nostalgic movement from the middle 19th Century and specifically in Germany it followed Biedermeier period. This was an era when French and Germans(I mention French as Germans looked to them and the British for decorative arts inspiration) especially yearned for the past with return of the Bourbons in France(Louis Philippe was the ruler) and German confederation awaiting the 1848 revolution with many monarchs in power. French Louis Philippe style is an obvious influence on this table but influence of Renaissance, Biedermeier and neo-classicism are also clearly visible. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE WALNUT DROP LEAF DINING TABLE
This is a really elegant. Sturdy, and functional antique walnut drop leaf table with turned legs and beveling along the edges. It is 61" long when both leaves are extended and 40" wide and 28 3/4" high. Quite a heavy piece. There are leg stabilizers(see the last photo) that have been added underneath each leaf to keep the legs from shifting or leaning, though the table is very sturdy. My family has owned this table for at least sixty years and it has seen many family dinners. Discussions, laughter, and sorrows. But I MUST downsize, sadly enough. The table is available for pick up by the buyer or a freight agent in stunning Graeagle, California, in the Sierra Nevada mountains about 60 miles from Reno, NV, and 60 miles from gorgeous Lake Tahoe, and about 2 1/2 hrs. drive from Sacramento, CA. Antique Walnut & Walnut veneer Sq. Victorian Ren Rev ext.dining table/3 leaves
Offered for auction is this wonderful square walnut/walnut veneer Ren. Revival extension dining table with 3 leaves. The octagonal pedestal splits revealing a single leg to support the extended table in the middle. The legs are positioned on the center pedestal diagonally and have two columns per leg to support the top. One column is half round and mounted on the pedestal and the other is free standing. Being mounted about midway on the leg. All are completely veneered in burl walnut veneer. The legs have a downswept angle to them and have carved roundels, etched lines, applied veneered walnut panels and terminate in a furled leaf motif as the tip of the foot curls under to the large casters. The top of the table has a shaped edge, a 4" skirt with shaped molding and a recessed raised burl veneered panel on each flat side. The curved ... moreends of the table skirt are completely veneered with burl walnut. 3 leaves come with the table and extend the table from 47" long(no leaf) to 83" long(3 leaves) The table is 47" wide. The various pictures show you how the table looks with all and with none of the 12" leaves in place. With one leaf, the table is 59" 2 leaves-71" and with all 3 leaves- 83" long. Table is standard 29" tall. All the runners inside the table are oak and the mechanism works very smoothly and easily. The top has been redone with a smoother, glossy surface, but the rest of the table is in original, unrefinished condition. One caster on the pedestal is missing but the table functions fine without it. Dark, rich walnut color and patina and because of weight and size, local pickup only please. The table was made with excellent craftsmanship and is very sturdy. It's 8 Legs are held together with 24 hand-carved mortise and tenon joints. The table measures 29.5" tall. 36" long, and 16.5" wide with the leafs folded down. The leafs hinge up and two pairs of legs swing out to reveal an elliptical table top measuring 47.75" in length, 36" in width. An antique 19th century primitive drop leaf table in walnut with turned legs. It measures approximately 28-3/8" tall and 41-5/8" wide. With the leaves folded down. It is about 20.5" long. Each leaf adds about 15.5" so with both leaves open, you will have about a 51" long table. We believe it is American and we do not know the maker. There are plenty of dings and scratches found commonly on antique furniture, and this piece has a particularly distressed, dry old finish. Pegged construction. A very nice antique Victorian. Circa 1870's, Renaissance Revival solid walnut round dining table that extends with six leaves. The legs and skirt have burl walnut veneers, the leaves have no skirt. A turned walnut leg is the center support, and there being nine brass casters total. The round table top measures 47-1/2" diameter, each added leaf 16" wide by 47-1/2" Very good plus condition: walnut boards without chips or cracks(as usual the leaves may show a slight variation in color, a faint warp to a few.
